I'm shocked by how good this is. I thought Scott Snyder was here just for the money and he wanted to focus on his indie projects. plus, I was tired of his huge exposition dumps. but this was solid. I'm not a fan of Nick Dragotta's art because I think it's bland. But maybe it's because of the coloring but it works here. It's very brutal and gels well, and the suit has grown on me. This issue shows why Scott Snyder is the best modern Batman writer of all time in my opinion. Comic book fans are eating good with ultimate Spider-Man and Absolute Batman. I hope we keep on getting great projects like these

well holy sh*t. i am absolutely floored. Nick Dragotta's art is working really well for me in this issue (considering I was not really a fan of Nick Dragotta's art in Zeb Wells Spidey run). But the dialogue is bearable, the story moves at a tight well-pace, and the reimagined characters are a breath of fresh air.

This issue is good but just fair warning it is not as a c tion packed and involves politics. I have to te read it to understand bc scott snyder exposition is a bit sterile amd bland

this has been surprisingly solid. I like Scott Snyder's writing for this Batman, it feels familiar yet new and I like the subtle differences between this Bruce Wayne and main Bruce Wayne. Plus the art fits in the origin issue.

You know. Although Absolute Wonder Woman is the best, and Absolute Superman is my favorite. Batman used to be my favorite hero, and most of that aws because of Scott Snyder. I can easily say that Absolute Batman is the coolest of the bunch, and I love the world-building and Nick Dragotta's art. This series go so f*cking HARD and I love it.

usually don't give out 10 out of 10. But this is just because of how entertaining and fun this series is. Nick Dragotta's art finally won me over, I think he might be the next definitive artist for Batman if he keeps this out. Legit, this run can be the 2020s version of New 52 Batman. Absolute superman may be my favorite, Absolute Wonder Woman may be the best. But Scott Snyder? He's the reason why I became a Batman fan and got me reading comics like crazy. Absolute Batman is the most entertaining out of the Absolute series. In my opinion Scott Snyders the best Modern Batman writer of all time.

Personally, this was the weakest issue of this series. But the fact that this is an 8 out of 10? That means this series has been high quality. I like the twist of Mister Freeze new origin, and how Batman is a working class. The art isn't as strong as Nick Dragotta, but it still works. Re-reading this issue makes me appreciative of it. I really like how Scott Snyder's writing for Absolute Batman is very different from his work New 52 Batman. This Batman's personality is so different, yet it's similar to Prime Batman on how Absolute Batman is defined by his will to help people in need and not willing to stand by and watch the rich take advantage of the poor. Overall, what I like about this Absolute Universe is that it still feels very familiar, but it's also evolving and trying to push the comic book boundaries. And I think I mentioned this, but Scott Snyder's exposition here works a lot better. Trust me, after reading his run on Justice League and Dark Night Metal, this is more tame and easier to understand compared to those series. Overall, Absolute Batman may not be my favorite out of the Absolute/Ultimate series. But it's consistently been the series that I am really hyped and excited to read every month. Yes, I am more hyped and interested to read this more than Absolute Superman/Ultimate Spider-Man.

It's honestly crazy on how good this series has gotten, and how Absolute DC Universe has been firing on all cylinders. Absolute Flash, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter are solid, and of course we got the DC Trinity. While I personally think Absolute Wonder Woman is the best, and Absolute Superman is my favorite, I can confidently say that Absolute Batman is the most entertaining and consistent. It's impressive on how Scott Snyder still has a lot of creative juice and ideas for Batman. Perhaps it is because Absolute DC Universe is not shackled or inhibited by the continuity where the author has to take into account every event, but Scott Snyder can do whatever he wants in this book while also having top notch writing. I love the fight on how it's basically like a manga battle, yet I can see the fight choreography. I like the art and coloring, I like the different takes on Batman's villains. I like how Bruce Waynes learns that he needs to live instead of just going in guns blazing while not caring about his life. Scott Snyder's exposition isn't overbearing and bloated like the later half of his DC Career, it's more digestible and easier to understand. Overall, I'm very impressed, and this is the best ongoing Batman series I read in a long time. And I was a James Tynion IV and Zdarsky defender. It's honestly strange on how Absolute Batman is better than most of Scott Snyder's other Batman books, perhaps this is because it's an ongoing series and he can end whatever he wants without having a certain issue limit.

I'm calling it, this is the best Batman series of the 2020s hands down. Nick Dragotta's art finally won me over, and I love Scott Snyder's writing this. One of my biggest problems with modern Scott Snyder is that he often needs half a page to just dump exposition, but its very sterile and boring. But his writing is digestible and easy to understand. I also like how different this Gotham and Bruce feels compared to main Batman series.

honestly took me a couple of re-reads because it was slightly abstract, but I appreciate it more and more. I just love how entertaining and metal this is. Absolute Killer Croc reminds me of Lizard in Amazing Spider-Man's Shed story. This Batman is so metal and hardcore, I love it. I like how this Batman feels very different from New 52 Batman, and how even though its the same writer its still very distinct and feel fresh. I will say Absolute Batman is personally the most entertaining and arguably the most consistent. Definitely a modern classic hands down. I was bit surprised and confused from the ending of last issue to the beginning, but after re-reading it again it made sense

I just love the origin story for Absolute Riddler, Penguin, Two-Face. I am so excited to see how Batman deals with Bane, and Nick Dragotta's art fits so well in this universe

This is the first issue in a while that I actually like Batman and Catwoman's relationship for once, and not because they had sex. Nick Dragotta's art works for this series, I like Bruce and Alfred's relationship. Overall, everything in this series just hits the right spots for me, and it shows how Scott Snyder still has creative juice in him. I thought he would leave DC Comics forever because he was burned out in the main continuity, but he still has motivation to put out bangers of stories.

Seeing batman beat up white supremacists automatically give this a perfect score. The art, action is so dynamic and Darren Warren Johnson is one of my favorite upcoming writers. This is my favorite annual of all time. If people are honestly sensitive and pissed off that Batman is beating up clearly evil people (doesn't matter which race they are), it tells more about them. Howard, I just want to say I dont exactly know how does Darren Warren Johnson have a strange way of showing he loves his country.I guess unlimited illegals is a good thing for every community. Can you show me what page and panel on Batman choking ICE officers?

i don't know how, but this fight lived up to the hype. It was brutal, gory, and even though I knew Batman would win based on future solicitions, it was still tense. nick Dragotta's art is astoundingly beautiful and works well with a more "violent" Batman compared to Greg Capullo's "horror" Batman. The pacing and dialogue is alot more digestible compared to Scott Snyder's DC Rebirth runs, and I'm excited to see Joker. The delay was worth it, and there's a reason why this is the most popular DC Absolute Series.

Jock's art hits a lot harder thanks to the coloring, and while I can kind of piece together the origin of Joker using corpses of orphans to become this Dark Souls demon, it still works even with Scott Snyder's exposition. But I feel that it's more digestible than his cosmic exposition because it's not using any complex scientific words

While I personally prefer the first crossover in Kelly Thompson's Wonder Woman run, this was still a very solid and emotional issue. I would love to see Scott Snyder one day tackle writing Wonder Woman in the main run

for me, this series started off really well, but then the ending felt rushed. Dylan's powers came out of nowhere and the way Venom defeated Carnage was anticlimatic because of the dialogue and rushed pacing. But that doesnt mean this story is bad, it just felt like a rough draft of King in Black. So it's genuinely good, but a bit overhyped. But thats my opinion, and the art by Ryan Stegman is amazing of course.

Al Ewing is a writer that I dont vibe with. So the fact that I am giving this issue a high score says a lot. I am intrigued on how this goes, and even though it's dialogue heavy it works. The more I read it, the more I find new and interesting things. And Giuseppe caminolli art works for me here.

This issue is not action-packed, but I like the mystery and slow-building intrigue. The art works, and I like Jeff Lemire's voice for Wally West. This was solid. Not as action-packed or hyped as Absolute Batman/Superman or well-written character like Absolute Wonder Woman. But who cares? As judging on its own merits it is a very solid book. I am very interested to see how Jeff Lemire takes Wally West.

this is a very trippy meta Flash issue done right. And I agree with Motorik, I feel that this run is way better than the JLA simply because Jeff Lemire can focus solely on Wally instead of juggling a lot of characters. The art and the way Wally runs is so interesting and cool. I honestly can't wait to see Jeff Lemire's interpretation on Grodd and the Rogues.

I really enjoyed this. It's only 20 pages in one single issue, but it's so tightly paced and well-executed that I want to see more from this. Honestly Absolute flash has been ny third favorite series coming out of the Absolute DC Universe line-up. The art and action is just so kinetic and fast-paced, and I like Jeff Lemire's Wally West voice on how this Wally is alone with just Monkey Grodd. I haven't felt this excited for a Flash run since Jeremy Adams Flash run to be honest

the was surprisingly good. I think this was my favorite issue involving the superhero's villains. I am intrigued on the mystery of Barry Allen and Eobard Thawne's ancestor.

Jeff Lemire strikes a home run again. I would like to see him tackle Flash if his heart is in it. Good dialogue, writing, and I actually am interested in Absolute Barry Allen. I haven't felt this interested in Barry Allen since Joshua Williamson considering Wally is more interesting while Barry is a bland white toast. But this is what happens when you get a great writer.

this is another banger Wally West series. I know this will sound crazy's but I would like to see Jeff Lemire tackle main Flash series. Maybe even try to write a Barry Allen series.

wow..... just wow. The art not only floored me, but I love this twisted horror green lantern concept. This take was done in Earth One Green Lantern, but this series has a different spin on it. Al Ewing's writing may not be my cup of tea, but I can't deny he's a good writer. Overall, as a DC Fanboy, I am very pleased with the Absolute Universe. DC Comics is just firing on all cylinders on all the series.

While Absolute Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter aren't my favorite bunch of the Absolute series but I still think they are very good. I like how this Absolute Universe twists Ab in Sur and Hector Hammond, and the art has grown on me

Al Ewing is not my preferred writer sometimes, but this series rocks hard. I like the writing for sojourner Mullien, this is the first time in a while ever since Far Sector that I got attached to the character

This book is very surreal and abstract which may turn off a lot of people. But I genuinely am intrigued by this and I want to see how this unfolds on how different this character is. It is very confusing, but I like how the DC Absolute Universe is swinging for the fences and just trying new stuff.

To be honest, even though this series is very abstract and much more difficult to understand compared to the other Absolute series, it's still written well. I feel that the more I re-read this, the more I will enjoy and appreciate this.

It's just John Jones and his wife talking, but Javier Rodriguez elevates the issue into a chaotic kaleidoscope of emotions. This may be my least favorite out oral the Absolute DC Series since it is so surreal and abstract, but I can't deny on how good this series is. I am interested in Deniz Camp after this

you guys call me crazy but now I'm really excited for Absolute Power. This event puts all the chess pieces on the board and I'm digging the art, the dialogue, the characters as well. I hate Amanda waller, and I hope this is hte last we see of her but I am really anticipating the issues next week.

while I am not a big fan of Amanda waller's characterization, I do like the intriguing plot on how Amanda Waller managed to trick the world by misinformation. I wish we are shown on her doing it instead of off screen, but it's good regardless. I don't like Amanda waller to be honest, and I think it's a little plot convience for every single superhero to lose their ability by technology, but so far I'm enjoying this start.

this ending finally made up for it. I am sad that this is the last crossover event that features the 2016 DC Logo (since thats my favorite logo and I'm not a big fan of the new current DC Logo) but I like how Amanda Waller faces justice and how the heroes save the day. Overall, I would definitely buy this book once it comes out in trades and has all the tie-ins into it. I dont mind buying an omnibus as long as I can appreciate the whole story

This was a solid debut with great art from Rafael Sandoval. This is best work from Rafa Sandoval, and the coloring really elevates it. Alot of stuff is very intriguing. Jason aaron writing can be a hit or miss recently but for now this is a stronger than his avengers or punisher run. I hope he can make it consistent

What a great book. I like how lois slowly trusts superman. I feel jason aaron found his groove again when he works with different publishers because he can write different and fresh characters.

This was a solid issue from Jason Aaron. his exposition works a lot better here where I get exposed to how different this Krypton is. The art here is also fantastic and beautiful to look at

Absolute Superman is personally my favorite one out of the bunch. Jason Aaron, I would like to apologize to you for trash talking you during your last years in Marvel. Jason Aaron is a good writer, it just felt he was bored in Marvel since he wrote almost everything he wanted to write, and when he's with a fresh new slate he f*cking kills it.

probably a cold take but this is my favorite Absolute universe series of all time. This is like if Superman wasn't self-less and was driven by vengenance of righteous rage. I am happy that Rafa Sandoval is the artist because this is his best work. I like Jason Aaron, the coloring, and Jason Aaron's vision of a different Superman. I think I am going to re-read this and the previous 5 issues so I can fully appreciate it. This was a knockout punch, and I hope this series will end on a very strong note.

This was a different heart breaking twist for the origin of Kal-El. In this story, the Kents are still warm. But here Kal-El has to leave the Kents not because he wants to find his own path. But because he's forced to and how the Lazarus team is attacking the Kents, and they tell him to leave. This leaves a Superman without any hope and optimism, and how everything he touches he destroys. Again, it's subtle but it clearly shows the difference between this Superman and the other main Supermen. Absolute Superman continues to be my personal favorite series out of the bunch thanks to Jason Aaron's writing. And honestly, Carmine Giandomenico's art works well for this issue, even if I do miss Rafal Sandoval.

I just love how Jason Aaron gave this Brainiac a twisted demented version, and Carmine Di Giandemenico's art really sells the eerie aspect. This doesn't have Superman in it, but it's really well-done here

Absolute Superman has continuously been my favorite out of all the Absolute series, it might even be my favorite current series. I like Jason Aaron's writing and voice for Absolute Superman. This really does feel like Jason Aaron's passionate about this series. The art was also very stellar.

I think I said this a bajillion times. But Jason Aaron has won me over. He hasn't lost his talent or was past his prime. He just needed a new motivation and a change of scenery. It's debatable between which Superman series do I prefer, Joshua Williamson's main Superman or Absolute Superman. But besides the tight pacing, interesting story, Rafa Sandoval's art is the scene stealer. I legitimately believe this is his best work, and I just love the coloring. I just love Jason Aaron's writing for other Superman characters on how it's different. it's not cringey or out of character like his back end of Marvel comics. It's unique and fresh. This is why Absolute Superman is personally my favorite out of all the Absolute series.

Honestly, I always get pleasantly surprised with Jason Aaron every time a new issue picks up. I like the fights, Rafal Sandaval's art, the coloring, and just the writing for Superman, Lois Lane, and Jimy Olsen. I think re-reading this from the beginning will have me appreciate it even more

Favorite Absolute series of the bunch. I just love Rafal Sandoval's art for this series, and the coloring as well as shading works. I like how Jason Aaron takes Clark Kent back to his roots as a champion for the oppressors similar to Silver Age and Grant Morrison's Action Comics. I love the action, and the writing for the Al Ghuls. This series hits even harder after re-reading it and it was a gut punch seeing the fate of Martha Kent. I am excited for the future of Absolute DC Universe

Usually after a climatic battle, the aftermath issue is a little boring and quiet. Yet somehow, Jason Aaron manages to keep up the momentum with strong internal dialogue with Absolute clark Kent. and Juan Ferrereya's art is supremely beautiful, and it is worthy for our Favorite Boy-scout. This series is super-amazing in my opinion.

If you told me Jason Aaron would make Absolute Superman my favorite absolute series coming out of the Absolute line-up, over Scott Snyder, I would have called you insane. But his writing, dialogue, and the art from Juan Ferrerya makes this series an absolute win.

I am honestly floored with how good this series is. This issue actually made me care for Wonder Woman for once. I think this issue surprised me the most. Great art, action, and story. Wonder Woman actually feels like a character compared to Tom King. Definite recommend.

Similar to what Psycamorean mentioned in the previous issue, but what I like about this is Kelly Thompson's character writing. This isn't Wonder Woman talking like she's from the 1800s with Shakespearan thoughts and dialogue that feels stilted wooden and dry. This is Diana Prince talking like a normal person who feels Empathetic, Earnest and Wise. Her chemistry and dialogue with Steve Trevor immediately make me latch on to her, she's gentle and kind. But she is not a pushover, and she will stand her ground if people test her patience. The art and coloring work SUPER well. I honestly believe that Absolute Wonder Woman is the best one coming out of this Absolute Universe. Which is a relief and makes me happy since Wonder Woman often gets pushed to the side in the main comics in favor of Batman and Superman. I am excited to see how this goes on. Kelly Thompson truly understands who Diana Prince is as a character, considering Wonder Woman (as a character) has been in limbo ever since DCEU ended.

This is my favorite version of Wonder Woman..... of all time. This is everything I want from a Wonder Woman comic and character. Absolutely breath-taking

This series and Tom King's Wonder Woman is like night and day. I like how this series focuses specifically on Wonder Woman, and the art really works for the dark gritty alternate universe the Absolute DC Comics are in. This was a solid read, and Absolute Wonder Woman has honestly been the best book coming out of the Absolute DC Comics. Again, I really hope when James Gunn green lights the new Wonder Woman movie for his universe, I hope it's taking inspiration from this series.

A Really solid first story arc. The pacing was tight, the art was consistent. Might have to read this in Trade Paperback form

Absolute Wonder Woman continues to floor me and be the best series out of the Absolute line-up. I also really love the art for Mattia del Luis, I will have to check it out. It is so beautiful. James Gunn, all you need to do is base DCU Wonder Woman on this, and I guarantee you everyone will love it even more than Gal Gadot's version. This Wonder Woman is so based because she has a likable interesting personality with dialogue that is engaging, and her lore/backstory is so interesting. I am going to re-read her entire series back to back because of this issue.

I swear to buddha, Absolute Wonder Woman is the best series coming out of the Absolute Universe. I will even sy it's top 3 best modern comic book series coming out right now. I really like the art, and Mattia De Lulis art impressed me so much.

Even though its slower, I can't help but enjoy it because of the beautiful art, and how Kelly Thompson takes her time in exploring and developing these characters. This is another knockout issue for Kelly Thompson's run. Hayden Sherman has slowly been my top 3 favorite artists of 2020s. I love the coloring, and I love Kelly Thompson's writing for Batman. I am interested to see how Scott Snyder will write Absolute Wonder Woman

this is why Geoff Johns is my personal favorite Superman writer. This story establishes Fortress of Solitude in the arctic, and I like how Geoff Johns takes cues from All Star Superman. It is a pretty solid story. highly recommend people read this story.

overall this was a very solid action comics run. It's not as good as PKJ but it was really fun and nice seeing the identity of MR OZ before Doomsday Clock. I recommend people check this run out and it is very memorable.

I love the first story on how Superman gets the key to Metropolis while everyone helps him out by Dan Jurgens, Peter J Tomasi's story on how Superman traveled forward in time to reunite with his family, Superman beating Lex Luthor in chess. Geoff Johns, Scott Snyder and Tom King were fine and forgettable, which is surprising since they're great comic book writers. Surprisingly Louise Simonson's sorry was good. Paul Dini was confusing, Bendis ws decent, but my favorite would have to be Faster than a Speeding Bullet by Brad Meltzer.

Good anthology stories that build upon character relationships. I like seeing Kenan Kong and Connor Kent talk more, but I would like to see Jon Kent talk more to the original Superboy. That would be cool.

I miss Phillip K Johnson's action Comics run. His run revived Superman comics after Bendis run, and all in all I can say that I enjoyed it. I enjoyed Warworld Saga on how he made Superman into a legendary mythical gladiator. I would reccomend people check out Phillip K Johnson's Action Comics run

after Jason Aaron's run on previous punisher and Avengers, I was pretty skeptical. I thought Jason Aaron was past his prime and washed up. thankfully, this issues started off strong, and showed me why Jason Aaron was one of the best writers in the 2010s. I hope Jason Aaron keeps up the hot streak in DC Comics and has another good run on him. It will be hard to top off PKJ's run on Action Comics, but Jason Aaron can do it if he doesnt put out bland characters or stories.

this issue had a lot of exposition that made it a chore to read, but the ending got me hooked and made it more interesting.

it's strange on how Jason Aaron dropped the ball on Avengers, but he completely kills it with Action Comics. Jason Aaron used to be my favorite, and I hope at the end of his run it will be great.

While the tone and story is different from PKJ's Warworld Saga event in Action Comics, the scale is the same, and everything for me works. Superman and Lex Luthor works, the story is so interesting, the pacing is great, the art is fantastic. This is Rafa Sandoval's best work so far. I love the Superman family dynamic. Overall, this is a strong start, and I hope it ends on a high note.

Joshua Wiliamson is killing it, this event is up there with Dark Crisis. I love the art, the story, the dialogue, and character dynamic on how the mystery unfolds on Lex Luthor and Brainiac

while I wished this issue came out a week earlier, this issue was great with story, character moments, action, hte art is beautiful, and I like how this issue highlights more on Brainiac and Superboy

this was very rushed and I think Mark Waid was overwhelmed with this. I am glad this story is over so now he can work on working the other series, as this was a weekly issue so he could be rushing through things and not planning ahead.

I didnt really like it because the action was kind of lackluster and it wasnt well-written. But Ms Marvel and Moon Knight issues were teh highlight.

I unironically enjoyed this. This was a bit fun.

honestly one of the most emotional and uplifting Superman comic ever. There may be superheroes that look cooler and have better creative powers. But they arent inspirational or uplifting as Superman. This is why Superman is the Greatest Superhero of all time

To be honest, although I do have problems with Brian Michael bendis changing Iceman's sexuality and making Jean Grey peer in his thoughts, i thought this run really wasnt that bad. It is a good introduction to newcomers imo and while its not as good as Hickman's run on X-Men, it aint too bad.

Honestly the perfect Superman story of all time and it shows why Superman is the Greatest superhero of all time. Superman always finds a way, he never gives up, he is really inspirational and even with all of his godly powers he still sees himself as equals to humans. This is a far superior version of Superman: Up in the Sky and its an instant classic that anyone should read. Its technically a 10 out of 10 for me.

I was never really a fan of Dan Slott's spider-man since he turned Spider-man immature. That being said, looking back his stories were far more engaging than nick spencer. So for me this issue is nearly perfect, and if I were to review Dan Slott's run it would be at most a 6.5 out of 10.

You know, for a story that said it would change the status quo, it really didnt. Also, the art is pretty bland and the dialogue and characters fall flat for me. Which is a shame since I really enjoyed Sins Rising.

Look, it may seem that I'm biased toward DC Comics, but I'm not. I like to keep things fair and I can definitely say this is a much stronger issue compared to last week, and kudos to Mark Bagley.

You know, my favorite superhero of all time is Spider-Man, but something is wrong when I'm more excited for Batman and Superman than Spider-Man. The artstyle is god awful, the pacing is sluggish, Jesus Christ. But hey, at least I have Immortal Hulk, Black Widow and Chip Zdarsky's Daredevil run.

Holy Buddha, at least make the story interesting. Jesus christ, how the hell did Spider-Man turn into this? Something's wrong when I prefer Tynion's Batman over Spener's Spider-Man. The art is bland, the dialogue and chemistry dont work for me. This is literally a filler event for Sinister War. I dont care about the other characters or how this whole conspiracy with the Chameleon is because the dialogue doesnt make me feel attached. I understand Nick Spencer wanting to use the Clairvoyant to bring it back, but at least have a better plot. Cant wait for this to be over so Sinister War can start. After Last Remains, its like Nick Spencer lost all of his creative juices.

Well.... this was a let down. The art was bland, the action was lackluster, the dialogue was all over the place, the pacing was terrible, for a story that is supposed to be about Spider-man and chameleon, you barely see Spider-man in this story. It's mostly Spider Man's SISTER for god sake. This ending did not change anything at all. Seriously, after Sins Rising it's like Nick Spencer lost his motivation because Last Remains was underwhelming and King's Ransom as well as Chameleon Conspiracy are terrible.

This is a crossover featuring Spider man, the most popular superhero of all time. This is also a crossover that has the gof damn INFINITY STONES. So why does the art and dialogue super crappy amd mediocre? The fight scenes are bland and underwhelming, I don't care about this star character, and the backup story was bad. Terrible issue all around

FINALLY a good issue. Jeez even if the art isn't that good at least I can tell this issue had a lot of effort in it. For once I am actually excited for sinister war and it has a lot of interesting plot threads lying around. I am not gonna hype too much, but let's hope sinister war is as good as sins rising

Okay so In this issue.... almost nothing happens except mephisti revealing Norman osborn may have made a deal with him to get rich in exchange for Harry osborn life being ruined. The art is inconsistent, this issue is supposed to take place before sinister war #2, and I just realized: we literally have one more issue to wrap all the remaining plot threads like how did Harry osborn became kindred, dr strange conversation, and the Mary Jane and carlie Cooper plot as well as all of spider man enemies beating up Peter Parker. Nick spencer is gonna need a hail Mary if this event is gonna be good

So this is probably going to be controversial, and I feel so bad for not liking this issue as much as other experienced reviewers like The Dark Knight Detective. I just want to say this is my opinion. First, I like how this issue retcons Sins Past. I dont mind how complicated this is, like how Harry created a Gwen Clone or clones of Gwen's children. I dont mind that. My problem was that there was absolutely NO build-up to this. I would have totally loved seeing how there was build-up to this issue. But there was no hint of Sarah Stacy and her bro. If there was hints that Nick Spencer was planning to retcon Sins Past AND deal with One More Day. But we had no build-up for this monumental incident. I also found all of Spider-Man's villains ganging up had no impact on Kindred babbling about Sins. Speaking of Kindred, I am just going to be honest. Kindred is divisive. I understand how he wants to prove that Spider-Man brings misery to everyone, but honest to god he keeps on talking about Sins and just standing around. Thats literally his purpose. It's so boring and I am probably going to forget him in like a week. Also, I am gonna mention how the art.... just doesn't work for me I am sorry. This is the final story for Nick Spencer's Spider-Man. But it just doesnt look good to be honest. But that's just my opinion. All in all, its the best issue of this event..... but it could have been better

It comes with a heavy heart that I have to give this final issue a negative score. This will not have spoilers. Thanks Afre, Batman, Federico Ligueri and Jeff Plaza for explaining your thoughts more effectively than me. Lets address the elephant in the room. The Art. I understand how art is supposed to be "subjective" but when the art isnt CONSISTENT, then its a big problem. I dont know what HAPPENED to nick Spencer and Marvel Comics, but after Last Remains the art in this series just TANKED and went in the ocean. This art..... yikes it makes me want to look away in shame. Mark Bagley and Patrick Gleason's art barely shows up here. The best art in this entire run was Sins Rising. Lets address the second problem with this entire issue. The Pacing and Theme of the run. This isnt Amazing Spider-Man. This is the Norman Osborn show. Everything this issue has been leading up to.... is just revising Norman Osborn's history. Oh gee, thank you Marvel! Thank you for misleading us and wasting our time. Honestly, I never expected Nick Spencer to erase One More Day from existence (since Aunt May would die, and nearly 14 issues of storytelling would be gone, reduced to atoms) but at least have a more entertaining story that substitues it. Sure, you cant remove One more day, but maybe have Peter Parker propose to Mary Jane and she says Yes. Have Peter Parker realize the truth that he was an idiot to erase his marriage with Mary Jane to save Aunt May (who would die literally in 5 years) from a gunshot wound (why couldnt Dr. Doom and Doctor Strange save her? Oh I know, its because of the PLOT). Third, f*cking Kindred. I am going to be honest with you guys. Kindred is the lamest and boring Spider-Man villain I have ever read in my entire life. Oh no, Spider-Man ruined your life? Well DO SOMETHING YOU LAZY BASTARD. Kindred spent 90 percent of the run talking about sins, standing in the shadows being edgy, and just reacting. I dont hate Kindred because of Kindred's "genius and complex history". I dont like Kindred simply because Kindred is a boring character who gets defeated in an unsatisfactory manner. Fourth, there are so many questions that I have in this final Nick Spencer run. When you are going to leave a popular superhero book, you need to have all your questions answered so it would be satisfying. What happened ot Aunt May realizing she has cancer? What was literally the whole point of Teresa going ot jail for fighting hte Chameleon? What f*cking purpose was the point of Nick Spencer's Hunted story? Nick Spencer killed off the original Kraven the Hunter, undoing Grim Hunt.... only to replace him with a clone of him. What's the point of Spider-Man losing all the time? Is it to make Nick Spencer sound smart? Because Spider-Man loses 80 percent of the time. I honestly had high hopes. After Nick Spencer giving us a dissapointing Secret Empire story, I was willing to be more open-minded. I am a really die-hard Spider-Man fan. Spider-Man is the reason why I was exposed to entertainment. First tv show, toy, video game, pillow, pencil, backpack, bed, blanket, notebook, poster, movie I ever watched was all because of Spider-Man. Sadly.... due to sluggish pacing, inconsistent art, and mediocre stories Nick Spencer ends the run, with a pathetic whimper and limps to the finish line. As a Spider-Man fan, it really breaks my heart to see my favorite character get an unsatisfying ending thats almost as bad as City of Bane.

usually, I dont give books 10 out of 10s because its very hard for me to give books that I deemed are masterpieces. Infinity Gauntlet, 2015 Secret Wars, All Star Superman, Avengers/JLA, Batman: White Knight, Doomsday Clock, Kingdom Come, Blackest Night, Kurt Busiek's Marvels, are the few out of the top of my head that I deemed are masterpieces. But maybe its because I'm in such a Spider-Man mood, but I really enjoyed this issue. I thought Beyond was going to be a filler, but I really enjoyed this storyline. My only complaint is Ben Really doesnt get to do a lot to shine, but other than that I think this is the best issue in the story so far.

No doubt this will be "divisive" amongst Spider-Man fans, but at least its not as bad as Nick Spencer's final issue. This will have spoilers. While this story arc is "harmless" and entertaining, I think the problem with this run has to deal with the Beyond Corporation. I did not find them interesting at all, I think the main leader (I seriously dont know their leader's name) was boring, I think they were bland people with bland personalities, and I didnt really care for them. Next up is Ben Reily. Ben Reilly had a really interesting character arc about him thinking that he's inferior to Peter Parker because he's a clone and wants all of his memories. But the problem is that its been done a lot of times, and having Ben REily revert back to a "villainous" role called Chasm really feels like a regression. I would like Ben Reily to at least realize that he doesnt need all of his memories to be considered "equal" like Peter Parker, and he can forge his own path. I honestly enjoyed more of Peter Parker, Mary Jane, and Black Cat's stories in this arc than Ben Reily and the Beyond Corporation, and the arc is literally called BEYOND. Overall, the issue wasnt bad, but this entire filler arc was pretty boring. This Beyond arc gets a 6 out of 10 for me.

As a Spider-Man fanboy, this issue is just okay. It's not bad, its not good either. I am a bit surprised and miffed that Peter and MJ are taking a break, and I feel this series is going to be in for the long haul and is going to unravel mysteries, and I'm totally fine with being patient. Art here isnt as good as I thought, I miss John Romita Jr's art back when J Michael Stracinzkyi art 20 years ago. So like I said, I am totally fine with being patient with this series and it's kind of funny that this series might be undoing Nick Spencer's work (even though its been less than a year, god time flies). Still, as a Spider-Man fanboy, really is weird and strange that I'm more excited for Batman content than my favorite fictional character of all time.

So I am going to review this issue as objectively as possible. Is this issue actually bad? Well, no its not. But its not great either. For starters, I am going to say that the art really isnt the strong suit. The coloring feels weird, and some of the pages dont wow me. The art is holding me back from truly loving this issue. now, to the story. Is it bad? no, its not. It's a story about Norman Osborn wanting Peter to work for him, and its Spider-Man trying to be in a conflict between Rose and Tombstone. Tell me, does that sound like a bad story to you? It really doesnt. Now, lets get to the main problem Spider-Man fans have with this series. Why and how did Peter Parker and Mary Jane break up? I admit, I really would like them to at least address One More Day and make Peter Parker realize that he was an idiot for selling his marriage to the devil. But just because we aren't addressing One More Day doesnt mean Spider-Man sucks. For the people who complain about Peter and MJ splitting up, can you honestly imagine if at the end of the series Peter proposes to Mary Jane or at least acknowledges One More Day? Can you imagine how much of an idiot and ridiculous you guys sound back in the day? It's okay to not like an issue as long as its valid and logical criticisms, but just not liking the story for petty emotional reasons doesnt make your opinion valid, and just makes you look immature. I am totally fine with this whole unraveling of the mystery box that will take issues (as long as its not decompressed like Tom King batman and Nick Spencer Spider-Man). I am totally fine with people not liking things I enjoy as long as they have valid reasons. I am not a DC Comic Zombie, I will always trust DC Comics more in terms of crossover events than Marvel, but you dont see me getting offended at Marvel for any tiny and minute detail, or get offended at Marvel fans for not liking DC Comic Events just so much as long as they have valid criticism. So all in all, this isnt a bad comic. It's enjoyable hte first time reading this, but its not a great comic. For people who are honestly giving this a low score, then I will tell you this. If you think this series is bad, then thank Buddha that you guys haven't read Tom King Batman, Brian Michael Bendis Justice League, New 52 Teen Titans, New 52 Red Hood and the Outlaws, and Furies.

This issue is just fine as usual. It's not bad, but its not mindblowingly amazing. the art isnt as good (maybe the coloring), and how is Spider-Man restrained by chains when he can lift up to 10 tons? Are those chains made up of adamantium? It still peaks my interest, and I'm just along for the ride.

I actually really do enjoy this issue. Art is a lot better, action is dynamic and I like the plot twist of Spider-Man doing Tombstone's work for him. It was really good.

Glad I was being fair for the first few issues and not outright hating this issue. People who trash on this series before the first arc even finished are being REAL quiet today. It's okay to make mistakes, just admit them and promise to be better.

He picks a fight with Captain America, he's super angry and mean, I get that early Peter Parker had a chip on his shoulder, but he wasnt this shor-tempered. I sure wished Spider-Man had better writers who actually cared for Peter Parker, and editors that let spider-man grow up. We probably know why Mary Jane has these kids, because Peter Parker is trying to free her, and in the dimension Mary Jane and Paul fall in love and bang each other. Which kinda is a slap in the face for Spidey fans considering the ending for Nick Spencer's run. Of course, I may be wrong and if that happens I will eat my words and admit defeat. only time will tell next month.

its not a one out of 10, but its bad in my opinion. Peter Parker is acting a bit irrational and this could have been solved with Peter telling Reed Richards the truth and this would be sorted out. The plot is dragging on and on (even worse than apparently Dark Crisis), and a lot of people are pissed off about Mary Jane banging Paul, and while I do see that happening if Mary Jane thought she was not going to be rescued for a while (this reminds me of Mark Grayson and Eve in Invincible when Mark Grayson was in a time skip), there are other stuff that dont stand out to me. The art, the dialogue, its just not good for me.

in all complete brutal honesty, its not bad. but its not good either. This comic book is just plain old okay. art was inconsistent, and I do like how we see Mary Jane and Paul grow closer together. Kaare Andrews is a great artist, I wish that person was doing the run. I get why Peter Parker is lashing out, but it still doesnt change the fact that Fantastic Four was the one acting out of character to Peter Parker in the first place. To quote the Rock: "It's a piece of dog s#%t." This will probably be my longest answer since Dark Web and Sinister War Now, as a Spidey fan. I want to judge things more fairly and level-headed. I also didnt really look at the spoilers since the single moment I heard that the ASM #26 was leaked, I deactivated my twitter so I wouldn't get spoiled, and whenever someone would say something related to spoiler territory, I would cut them off or scroll quickly. Now, lets talk about the art. The art by John Romita JR is frankly..... bad. I'm sorry, I know I'm not a comic book artist. But JR JR isnt as good as he was when it was the JMS run at all. If this is such an important story, I want to bring in the big guns and good to great artists to treat comic book fans and make them pretty hyped up. The art was so.... bland and uninteresting. Now, lets talk about Kamala Khan. Yes, its cool she sacrificed herself for Mary Jane and she "d*es". But my problem is that Kamala Khan barely plays a role in the series. This death feels hollow because not only is Marvel just reviving her to hype up her own movie, but Kamala Khan BARELY plays a role in the series. out of 26 issues, she only had 12 pages. It comes out of nowhere. it would be more hard-hitting and hard-felt if instead of the filler issues with Black Cat and Spider-Man dating, we could have at least had a couple of issues where Peter and Kamala Khan talk to make this death feel more "earned". The reason why Gwen's death was so impactful was that we actually saw Gwen and Peter interact more. Peter and Kamala not interacting a lot in this run makes this death not that important and I'm just like.... "okay". Sadly, Kamala Khan is my favorite female superhero of all time, so I was a bit more offended and annoyed. Like I said, if you are going to hype her up in her own movie, at least treat her with respect. Dont. fridge her. Now, as Psycamorean points out. Yes, I'm happy we got some character development and closure from the story. The heroes forgive Peter Parker. Paul is not from this universe. The kids get snapped away. Maybe Paul and MJ will have their relationship fractured, and Peter and MJ will get back together and make us eat my words. But you know what my biggest problem in this entire run? Peter f*cking Parker. I cant believe that we had great representation for Peter Parker like PS4 Spider-Man as well as Marvel Spider-Man 2. This could have been a slam dunk for Spider-Man in 2023. But the problem with Spider-Man in the comics is that Peter Parker loses A LOT and doesnt even FIGHT the main villain till the end. Sure, you see Peter fight off Rabbit. But not only is Rayeb boring, but Kamala Khan tricks him. The giant monster gets defeated by Fantastic Four. In the majority of every single story in this run, Peter Parker needs help or loses so someone else has to beat up the villain for him. I understand we dont want stories to be generic and unoriginal. But at least the stories need to be respectful in someway. there has to be some pay-off to at least Peter Parker losing a lot, but it seems that he is treated like a trash bag. I think this issue is even worse or more polarizing than the Bat-Wedding. Like Deathstroke7505, Peter Parker doesnt react to Mary Jane having super powers even this is his first time seeing it happen. Rabbin states that he can see through space and time, but again. He should have known Kamala Khan was there. I honestly dont really "hate" this issue because Peter Parker and MJ are never getting back together. I accepted that. My problem personally is how the art and action dont really look good, Peter Parker does nothing, and Kamala Khan's death not feeling earned So all in all, I was at first angry and pissed off. But now, I am just laughing at Marvel right now. I dont know, I just think its pretty funny how Marvel is super great and awesome in movies and Video games, while DC Comics has Ezra Miller and Amber Heard in films, and their video games need work. But in the comics? It's the complete opposite. I hope that Marvel either gets a better editor or a writer who cares about Spider-Man.

I recently had a personal tragedy which Is why I didnt read the recent spidey issue and other issues. Well, I read this issue today, and it did improve my mood a bit because it made me laugh because of how funny Marvel is treating Spidey like garbage. I dont mind spidey losing a bunch, but it happens way too much and there isnt a satisfying pay-off. Sucks that now I'm a Batman fanboy right now. This run is the first time I'm pulling the plug for keeping up. I am probably not holding my breath on this. Which is a shame. Because Peter Parker got me through high school and middle school. I really did enjoy Spider-Man a lot. Maybe I should have came in this series with a different angle, like seeing it as a comedy or joke or something. That way I wont get dissapointed by Dark Web and the other stories from Zeb wells. Oh well. If you guys want good Spider-Man comics, try reading the recent Dan Slott run. Or Miles Morales. At this point, if Marvel is treating Spidey like this, then he should just straight up die to put him out of his misery. Or get better writers like Jonathan Hickman to work on him. Sure, there are going to be annoying and toxic Spidey fans. But it's better than whatever this is. I'm not expecting Peter Parker to be with Mary Jane again. I just want good stories. But I know I probably wont get those anytime soon. Also, Ed McGuniess art doesnt work for me, sorry. It's subjective though.

honestly came back for this event after Kamala Khan's death in Amazing Spider-Man #26. I have not been th biggest fan of Amazing Spider-Man due to Zeb Wells writing, and the inconsistent tone and humor. Gang War has been a bore to me with bland pacing, Spider-Man not doing much, bland action, etc. That said, this was the best issue of the event in my opinion. John Romita Jr's art still isnt that good, but I'll take what I can get. Spider-Man is actually doing something for once which is a relief. He's still a side character, but hey. This issue isnt as bad as the previous issues in my opinion.

And its totally fine if people like this event more than me. I'm glad people are enjoying this event. It's just for me, I didnt enjoy this event. I'm glad I took a break from Zeb Wells Spider-Man, and I'm not going to be reading Zeb Wells Spidey run anymore. This run is not for me, I'm not going to be reading this event if it somehow devolves into me hate-reading this event, and I dont want to be toxic. Overall, this event had bland art, action, dialogue, a wonky pacing, and Spider-Man really doesnt get much to do here, and when it comes to the climax of the story, it fell flat.

Art is the only thing that is saving this issue in my opinion.

while I do like how spidey breaks free of the sins on who spidey is, the lead up and execution could have been better. It's not bad, but it feels hollow and empty.

I like how Shay doesnt hear Rhino and Screwball tearing up New /york behind her. But overall, this was a nice step up and upgrade from Zeb Wells usual Spidey issues. I wished it was more of this

this is just a decompressed issue where nothing really happens and it could have been combined with the previous issue. I can't wait for this series to end so we can move on

I am probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but I think this ending was just as bad, if not worse than Nick Spencer's Spider-Man run. This run for me feels like watching the atrocious Joker sequel to me where its a big punchline. We think there will be a satisfying conclusion to the Tombstone story, it wasn't. Literally nothing happens, Tombstone doesn't get punished. He literally wins while Spider-Man suffers. The only thing that does improve is Aunt May accepting Peter Parker has to ask for Spider-Man for help, which makes him be in danger. At the end, Aunt May and Peter are close again... but again it was not built up. Chasm is evil again, which makes the Winkler arc uselses, the art is generally ugly, the only thing I like was the Wolverine story. I do not care if Peter Parker and Mary Jane are never getting back together. I think as long as Nick Lowe and the Marvel Editorial are around, it's never going to happen. But there has to be a good and engaging story for this, and it sucks seeing Ultimate Spider-Man and other series get good satisfying character writing but not Main Earth 616 Peter Parker. Overall, for real. I am done with this series. I have gone to accept that this series is not for me, and I am never going to be reading this series again. I only read the last arc just for me to actually critique it fairly to the best of my ability and not be a mindless hater. I felt that this series was bad because Spider-Man loses a lot, inconsistent art, the bad writing/story, and the action leaves to be desired. Even if Joe Kelly will do well in Spider-Man series, I probably wont read it. I hope people have fun and enjoy this series.

I don't mind Peter Parker losing faith and giving up, and later in the end we see Peter regain his motivation. But at least have the story, dialogue, and character writing work. Half of this issue isn't about Peter Parker at all, and it's kind of funny how Black Cat broke up with Peter, yet she kisses him. And immediately goes back to him. And how half of the book is doctor strange with X-men stuff in it. Marvel needs to get new editors or a staff team and have actual good writers who. care about Spider-Man write Spider-Man. Maybe that's why Ultimate Spider-Man works so well. It's run by a different team and Hickman cares about Spidey. Hickman isn't really seeing Spider as a pay check

Bleh. The rotating writers with their conflicting visions really drag this series down. For a story taht is supposed to have Spider-Man in it, he barely shows up and it's the X-men. Like, this story is literally called THE Death of SPIDER-MAN, and he isn't even the main character in this "event".

art is the only saving grace

whomp whomp whomp. Art is good, but it feels rushed and Peter Parker doesn't have a lot of agency or a big role in this story. It happened with Dark Web, Gang War, and now this. The dialogue doesn't make me engaged and for something thats called Eighth Deaths of Spider-Man, spider-man doesnt die that often. Maybe it's called Eigth deaths instead of Five Deaths because Spiders have 8 legs

whomp whomp whomp. And just like that, another run ends. The art may be nice at the end, but I really was not a fan on how Spider-Man was treated like a side character. The pacing and story was dragged out too much, the X-Men took the story over, and the villains as well as dialogue weren't engaging or interesting. For real, this is my definitive end on the main Amazing Spider-Man run. I have come to accept that my interpretations and view on how I want Spider-Man to be are different from Marvel. I don't mind Peter not being with Mary Jane, but he needs to evolve or grow as a character. I don't mind Peter Parker stuck in limbo not being married, but at least make him interesting or likable with solid writing. Overall, after Nick Spencer, Zeb Wells, and this story arc. Just don't feel like reading Amazing Spider-Man forever. Oh well, I got Hickman's ultimate spider-man

absolutely atrocious and garbage with bad story and

kind of strange on how morbius struggles with handcuffs, and how the tone is too goofy as well as bringing back the Beyond storyline.

ignore the critics, this was a fun alternate spider man story. the action is great, and the art is fantastic. Definitely a must read for spider man fans.

This gave me Pre-One More Day vibes from Amazing Spider-Man. It's nice to see JMS tackle this again

didnt like it that much due to inconsistent artwork and lack of an engaging plot. The only good issue in this event was Silver Surfer. This could have been a 3 issue story.

this was a fun/decent issue. not the best, but considering it's from Steve Orlando its something.

I personally thought this series was fantastic and entertaining. Even with Geoff Johns gone it was still enjoyable with great art and great fight scenes as well as interesting stories.

this is the review for the entire series, and overall I had a fun time and I enjoyed it more than the New 52 Aquaman.

Jeremy Adams might be the next Geoff Johns, given how he tackles Flash, Green lantern, and now this. The art and coloring works really well, and I can't wait to see how the next run unfolds. I hope Aquaman's run ends well, which means he will have a trilogy of solid definitive runs
