Flashpoint Beyond #1 does an excellent job continuing the Flashpoint timeline when Barry Allen's assassination forces Thomas Wayne to seek answers amid a blossoming war between Atlantis and the Amazons. Flashpoint Beyond #1 has a lot going for it and maybe as it goes along things come together. But, as is, the comic feels like concepts from something else reworked multiple times into this. It throws out a bit too much and it's interesting aspects at times feel like bad background scenery. The comic feels like it's just slightly off, which may be rather appropriate since that's what Thomas Wayne is experiencing and attempting to investigate himself. Read Full Review

A solid second issue one with several flaws I'm willing to overlook for its virtues. It's interesting to see a world on the brink still trucking along after we thought it had fallen apart, and it's exciting to see a world where anything could happen from here on out. Hopefully, it'll embrace the possibilities that lie within the Flashpoint universe, and not get bogged down in the same things that have plagued all recent DC events as of late. Read Full Review

Really liked this issue and now its piqued my interest. Geoff Johns really shows that he's one of the best comic book writers out there, if not the best modern comic book writer right now.

This issue was a lot better than i expected specially the writing considering it has the Writer of teen titans academy co-writing it, let's just say that book isn't really what it should be. the only Problem i have with this series so far is that i wish We had a more Concrete reason to visit the flashpoint universe again.

@Dc Fan of Sorts - it's a Flashpoint continuation. Aquaman and Wonder Woman were major characters in that story.

ah, got you. but i fully agree. none of this will matter. it's basically another cash in on a dead time-line that has long overstayed it's welcome. and being that this event is what they used to explain the arrival of The New 52 but puts even more disdain towards Flashpoint.

i can't hold out much hope that this story will add anything of value to Tom King's misuse of Thomas Wayne. if anything, DC needs to just wipe the slate clean and pretend that The New 52 as well as Tom King's abysmal run ever happened.

This was in no way shape or form a good comic! the front was heavily stuffed with exposition. the idea itself never should have been brought back. it never needed to be anything other than it's original mini-series. the issue's climax was lackluster. the whole thing just feels forced and uninspired. even the art is very stiff and dull. i feel absolutely no desire to read the next issue. Reading this again, it's even worse than i had remembered. I'm lowering my score to a "1". I'd rate it a Zero of i could.
