Once again, I really enjoyed an issue of Absolute Superman. It's the comic I look forward to reading the most every month. I loved this issue as always. Rafa Sandoval’s art, which is always solid, felt even better here. I liked the development for both Black Adam and Hawkman. And it’s always great to see Superman saving people, even in situations where the odds are completely stacked against him. Plus, this issue was a total showcase for cool capes and Hawkman’s wings definitely count in this case too, haha. more

While reading this, I just can't ignore this feeling. Of feeling nothing. This screams whatever to me and it's hard to enjoy anything this offers. No one is surprised it ends with an ass-pull deus ex machina because the first 4 issues did nothing to buildup to a resolution.

I don't know what happened with Campz. His Ultimates run was so good until this started.

Also Ultimate Potential-Man is back and Wolverine acts like he was invited to the party. That was pretty funny. more

It's fine. It just doesn't really make me excited for QiB. Nor does it feel like that event is starting next month.

I have the same feeling with this as I had with Ultimate Endgame #5.

Whatever.

All this just feels like damage control after Marvel realized no one liked UE and no one wanted Ultimate Universe to end. And with the success of Absolute universe from DC, they are just scrambling while trying to figure out what to do.

Ultimate Potential-Man's fate is actually funny. It really is "no responsibility, no consequences" which was the theme of Ultimate Potential-Man vol 3. more

Yeah this was whatever for me.

This feels like a very forced retcon for the upcoming issue 1000. It's powerful don't get me wrong. May keeping this all this time makes sense in context. It's devastating. I hope it doesn't all turn out to be a fake out. That would be the most tragic. I also just don't see what it really adds to the world of Spider-Man. Is this going to be a recurring element or just a one off to sell an issue? T hat's my hang up. The art and the writing are very good, even if the main story is interjected with a weird villains bidding on other villains tools thing we've seen in countless books before. I really wish Gleason would just stick on Spider-Man for a long time. He does it so well.more

This just works for me. I have such high nostalgia for Slott's writing and BND -era. And it feels very fitting. You could read this between issues of BND era ASM and you wouldn't notice anything. I also like callbacks.

Is it perfect? No. Does it do anything revolutionary? Nope. Does it have charming art and feel very comfortable to read? Absolutely. For me at least. And it's all I wante d from this.more

I am a bit mixed on this.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the art, villain stuff was good and writing for May was excellent.

But I just wish there was less action and more talking. I just wanted more of that and not Blood Market.

Snyder and Dragotta just keep cooking with this.

Proof that miserable conservatives are not the demographic for this comic.
