I haven't been reading DC K.O. How is it and how is this in relation to it?

Absolute Superman #16
Superman finds himself at the forefront of a bold new age of heroes in the Absolute Universe, but he quickly learns that he wasn't the world's first super-powered protector. Enter Hawkman, who has a few tips for the new kid, whether he wants to hear them or not!
Best issue yet. Superman has all the time in the world, and he spends it with kindness, and with love for those who cannot defend themselves.
Aaron truly understands Superman and what makes him tick. I hope he stays on the title for a looong time. Ferreyra's art was fantastic, particularly his colors.
Absolute Superman #15
In the shocking aftermath of the Battle of Kansas, Superman wrestles with profound changes to his life, his allies, and even his costume. But more importantly, there's work to be done, as we experience a day in the life of the world's busiest superhero-and welcome guest artist Juan Ferreyra (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) to the series!
"There's a child in Thailand, body riddled with cancer. No family. She doesn't want to die alone, staring at the ceiling. I make sure she doesn't. After the child dies in my arms, I spend the next hour alone in the stratosphere, screaming so loud it knocked satellites from orbit."
This is Superman.

Oof. The tears are definitely flowing.
Absolute Superman #14
It has all been leading to this. The final battle against Ra's Al Ghul, for the fate of Smallville and the soul of Superman!
A great read. Really nice to see Sandoval back on the interiors, as I feel like he's such a great fit for this book. Furthermore, I really liked the developments with Kal-El here, and I'm looking forward to them, hopefully, being built upon as the series continues.
Absolute Superman #12
No one defies the will of Ra's al Ghul. If Superman doesn't accept his place as the Son of the Demon, then Lazarus Corp will rain hell on the people most precious to Kal-El...the people of Smallville. So begins the invasion of Kansas!
Absolute Superman #13
The Battle of Kansas has begun as the tanks of Lazarus Corp come rolling down the streets of Smallville. Haunted and weakened from the horrors he suffered at the hands of Brainiac and Ra's al Ghul, Superman wages a last desperate fight for everything and everyone he has come to hold dear!
One of the best comics on the shelves continues its near perfect run.

For five years, he's been on the run, hounded across our planet, and treatedlike a criminal...yet his only crime was being born somewhere else. NowSuperman's rage threatens to engulf the world at the urging of Ra's al Ghul. And the only ones who can save the day...are Kal-El's dead parents.
Wow. One of the best issues thus far, in my eyes. First off, Giandomenico's art is fantastic here. Some really great pages. The story here was amazing as well. Pretty major spoiler alert right here, so don't continue reading if you haven't read the issue yet. Anyways, yeah, Talia being revealed as Primus was pretty crazy. Not where I thought they were going with the story, but I do really like it more
Absolute Superman #10
Superman's true enemy stands revealed. The notorious Ra's al Ghul, lord ofLazarus Corp, murderer of millions, has plans for the Last Son of Krypton. Will Kal-El's rage unleash the dark power of Superman: Son of the Demon?
Guess I'm in the minority here. Not a big fan of the art overall, worried some might be assets lifted straight from a Star Wars comics or simply traced. The dual laser cannons that the Peacemakers are in are E-15 blaster rifles from Star Wars slightly modified but I know I have seen that exact image somewhere. Just disappointing to see and very lazy that it was used. Other panels are fantastic but more

It was okay. The Omega Men really just bother me. I get that it's to show that no matter which side Kal chooses, Lois who wants to be genuine but is beholden to Lazarus or Jimmy who wants to prove himself to Omega but is very naive about the world he is a part of. Kal is stuck between two factions of oppression or extremism and obviously, Kal is not that person. The message is a great one, the pla more
Absolute Superman #9
The mysterious Omega Men have chased the Superman around the world, determined to plead their case: that only with his help and by unleashingthe full scope of his terrifying power can they put an end to the LazarusCorporation. And with anger burning in his heart, Kal is starting to listen...
Not sure why Ra's was picked for the villain. I like mixing things up but it feels so far separated from anything Superman that it's hard for me to suspend even my fictional disbelief. Sandoval makes the book look great though. I do like that despite a once again more edgy Superman, he is still not matter what, a good person. He's angry, he watched his planet die. He wasn't an infant. He saw how t more
Absolute Superman #8
The next big arc of this red-hot series begins here, as Superman findshimself caught between the opposing forces of the nefarious Lazarus Corpand the mysterious Omega Men. But Kal-El just wants to be left alone in theonly place on this planet where he's ever felt safe. A place called Smallville.
The biggest sin is the presence of Ra's. Not only does it not make sense for him to be a villain in a Superman book, but he could be replaced by another villain like Brainiac or Ultra Humanoid.
The worst part is that I really liked the rest of the chapter, we finally have focus on the protagonist and I loved Jimmy and Lois' interactions.

I will lead with not being the biggest Brainiac fan. This was a little weird for me. A bit more grotesque than I want from a Superman book. Seeing an extremely cold, horrific and disgustingly brutal Brainiac is interesting but not what I would expect or need. That being said, it was extremely engaging and giving him a somewhat tragic origin endears you to him a little, you're immediately pulled ba more
Absolute Superman #7
His stolen alien technology is at the heart of Lazarus Corp's global success. Buthe operates out of a seedy lair, packed with bottled cities...cities he torturesrelentlessly, just to hear the faint chorus of screams. Who is the mysteriousBrainiac? And why is he so interested in the Last Son of Krypton?
The Borg vibes are very interesting.

DC K.O.: Knightfight #4
Bruce Wayne became Batman to strike terror into the hearts of criminals, but he never imagined a world where Gotham City would be so safe it no longer needs its Caped Crusader. But when he arrives in a Gotham where Damian achieved that very peace, will Bruce destroy everything his son has built to overcome the Heart of Apokolips's test and re-enter...
I love it. It's pure Scott Synder bombastic style ala Metal. Lux Luthor is fascinating in it. Joshua Williamson beautifully weaves Batman's removal from the tournament - to what looks to be a tournament re-entry. Batman basically gets the "Inner Light" treatment from Star Trek TNG. Living various fictional lives, whilst learning about himself in the process. This comic is a fascinating study of Batman. I love it.
