Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1 was such an easy win with this fantastic creative team behind it. Bryan Edward Hill feels like the exact right person to be behind the writing, with the artists showing they’re exactly where they’re meant to be. This was a phenomenal first issue, and I’ll be anxiously waiting for the next one! Read Full Review

All in all, Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1 is a near-perfect first issue. It is easily accessible to newcomers, but respectful of history and its main character. It features evocative art and a well-spun story composed of a perfect blend of action, comedy, and drama. Read Full Review

Overall, this is an effective return to form for Miles. The art is amazing on every level, and the story and characters have me interested, but not hooked yet. The real thing holding it back from a higher rating is the strange movie synergies, which bothered me a lot. Still, I’m excited to see where this comic goes next! Read Full Review

Read the first issue and I'm really liking what I'm reading so far. Miles still sounds like Miles and I'm liking the dialogue from the other characters and how they interact with each other. Hill promised us cinematic action and I can safely say he is delivering on that promise so far.

Looks like Hill's also making it a point to reinforce all of Miles past experiences and power ups throughout his entire comic history, and to ensure that none of it is being removed or rebooted and more will be expanded upon and explored.

Art is amazing as expected from both the talented artists. Solid inaugural issue for Bryan Edward's Hill's run and I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.
