It’s 1909, and Simon Pure has long hoped that his fellow immortal nemesis Benedict Arnold drifted out to sea and turned to ash when they last tangled in 1892. But such was not to be, and Arnold has returned…but not for revenge, he claims, but to help Simon’s family become immortal like him. The truth is, Arnold has changed…just in ways Simon would never expect.

Redcoat #18 packs an emotional punch. Simon has worked to build a life that he can be proud of and has a family. Now all of that is coming down around his feet. We’ve spent so much time with Simon that it breaks our hearts to see him in this dilemma, and I am eager to see how the team moves forward! Read Full Review

    Fanlight Zone - Richard Coryell

Redcoat #18 bounces back from the disappointment that I felt with the last issue. Bringing heart back to the story and making the reader truly feel for Simon and his plight really makes this issue stand out. What this issue lacked in action, it more than makes up for in the drama department. The ending leaves you wanting more and excited for the next issue. Read Full Review

And so, in spite of the fact that it's our respectable and respectively, entertaining serial, it still doesn't live up to the true drama of the historical themes that Johns is covering.
