Feb 13, 2018Okay, it's been ages since I've reviewed a Black Monday Murders issue, but really, everything I said about the first like five still applies here. This is a fantastic series with a fantastic world, characters, and throughline. That it might be going on for quite some times makes me stupid happy, even if that means buying lots of comic books. Boy oh boy. This issue was absolutely fucking nuts.

This is has officially went off the rails because there are too many messed up moments happening that I could do without but I get what they add to the portrayal of these barbaric, self indulgent and greedy cannibals. Only Hickman can marry Wall Street, the federal reserve, colonial Spain and demons among many others all chasing that elusive mammon sacrificing many in its path. Dumas is still not really the good guy here. He uses black magic of other demons to guide him and wants to join in but a price will be paid no matter what. Nobody enters or uses that realm without losing everything including himself at the end. Coker and Garland are a great art team!
