Mar 25, 2026The two heroines are the highlight of this issue, but there is so much else going on here that the 22-page length never seems like enough. And Hayden Sherman proves once again that no one draws monsters like them, with a truly horrifying specter haunting the pages. Read Full Review

Mar 25, 2026There’s more than magic in the air as a new threat looks to finish Diana off once and for all in this latest chapter. Thompson delivers on a huge face-off building to much more. Sherman and Bellaire construct phenomenal art as the fight mounts to a blazing emotional inferno. AWW continues to live to its’ hype of high class storytelling. Read Full Review

Mar 27, 2026Thompson and Sherman just don’t miss. This issue was a phenomenal example of how this creative team could continue this book for years to come and still sell. Absolute Wonder Woman #18 gives depth to our main character, expands the world, and delivers the most gorgeous and badass fight I’ve read from a comic in some time (I like magic, sue me). < Read Full Review

Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez
Mar 25, 2026Absolute Wonder Woman #18 expands the witch war into genuinely mythic territory, balancing intimate character negotiation with apocalyptic ritual stakes in a way that respects both Diana's growth and the legitimate cost of opposing entrenched magical corruption. The issue delivers exactly what Season of the Witch promises: witches burning brighter, rituals carrying weight, and Diana becoming something more dangerous and less certain of herself in the process. For readers tracking this arc, the emotional beats and magical escalation justify the investment fully; casual observers will find plenty to grab them, though the relationship work might require backtracking to earlier issues for full resonance. Issue 18 of Absolute Wonder Woman is a bit of a slow down from last weeks kinda lazy grow bigger punch fest. We get some nice moments here with Diana and Zatanna after they have a brief battle. The book features Dianas full cast of friends made along the series. If you haven't been paying full attention, you'll have next to no idea who the hell these people all are. If you have - it's a nice callback. I'm still all in on this book though it is a bit of a slam on the breaks as we build towards the big battle with Giovanni. Exposition dumps are tough to layout and look interesting. Hayden does a fine job in this issue.
