A different perspective: this is written like a Batman or X-men comic from the 80s: numerous subplots moving forward each and every issue, sometimes with only a page or two dedicated to one sub plot each issue. Less written for the trade and more of a slow burn. I actually think this may read worse in a trade....

Knight City #2
A brand-new action-adventure series by BRZRKR’s Matt Kindt and Stray Bullets’ David Lapham that’s Fight Club meets Superman.

Enjoying this. Hope it doesn’t get cancelled too soon.
End of Life #2
Okay, so maybe hiding out in this podunk town with his sick father, estranged ex, and nauseatingly pleasant townsfolk was a bad idea. But Eddie has a plan to make things right. If he can just giveback what he stole from the Raven, no harm no foul, right? His accomplices, the Murder Brothers, will help him out...right? Wrong, dog. Very wrong.
I dropped the prior series because I thought it was too drawn out.
The pace of this series is much better. Very much enjoying it.
The Banner and Betty part of it is key.
Infernal Hulk #5
INFERNAL VERSUS ALMIGHTY! As Infernal Hulk prepares to deal his death blow against Earth, a being of unimaginable power descends from the heavens to save us: the Creator of the Marvel Universe himself! Everything on Earth will change after this shocking, never-before-seen battle for the ages: INFERNAL HULK versus THE ONE ABOVE ALL!
The issues we see how much of a threat this infernal hulk is, are definitely highlights for me. Honestly how the story juggles three different narratives are all equally incredible.

I guess this is not for everyone. But I liked it.
I appreciate the art isn’t marvel house style.
The art reminds of Tim sale. Bazaldua has a lot of potential.
Captain America #8
THE HUNT FOR SALVATION ON THE ROAD TO ARMAGEDDON! CAPTAIN AMERICA has formed an alliance with the LATVERIAN LIBERATORS to put a stop to violent insurgent leader SALVATION and his domineering TRUE LATVERIA army. But Salvation won't back down without a fight, and Steve is determined to bring him to justice even in the face of resistance from his own ...
Some of the art work looked rushed. Otherwise this would have been a 10.
Ultimates #22
Definitely what the series needed.
Absolute Flash #13
Wally tries to pick up the pieces of his life after the battle at Fort Fox. Adrift and unsure what to do, the young speedster looks for a way forward.
I liked it but thought it ended abruptly.
Batwoman #1
Batwoman. Daughter. Sister. Soldier. Hero. But since she was 10 years old, Kate Kane has lived in the shadow of a prophecy and the machinations of a religion devoted to the end of all things. How do you fight the devil when the devil is real? And how do you win? Acclaimed writer and co-creator of the modern Batwoman Greg Ruck returns to the story o...
A nice start, although I must say I was hoping for more. Rucka and DaNi is a duo that I feel had a lot of promise and I do still think this has a lot of potential to become better than what it is here. That said, this was a bit slow, without much being established. Perhaps this might work better if it were placed at a different point in the series, though I did like it overall. Rucka does a nice j more

New Avengers #6

Really enjoying this comic.
Liquidator #4

Elsewhere, Hawksmore makes Aubrey an interesting offer, Aubrey makes a break for freedom, and the Horai find a new Liquidator. And still, Milly Hopkins must die…
Great art this issue.
But I felt like there was a page of story missing.
Some skeleton character just shows home sequence. I felt like it really threw
Off the flow.
Absolute Wonder Woman #17
Diana faces off against a team assembled with only one mission in mind: take down Wonder Woman at any cost. But after a strangely intimate betrayal, Diana finds herself outplayed, boxed in, and running out of options…
There's a new sheriff in town. By that I mean a new top mobster who has taken over, much to the surprise of the other crime lords and Batman, who learns about by threatening a scared punk, way to stay on top of things Bruce.
Also, Fraction writes a diatribe about the death of the daily newspaper industry. I have news for him, daily newspapers started dying after WW2. Most big cities wer

Batman #4
As Bruce Wayne investigates the Crown of Storms, Batman pursues Anarky and discovers a criminal conspiracy hiding in plain sight that will change the game for crime and criminals in Gotham City...and the world!
Classic Claremont, cockrum, Byrne, smith, romita jr, silvestri, Leonardi X-men. Pretty much all of that up to Jim Lee.
Why does Snyder always give a character a corny speech? *cough* Jim.
Absolute Batman #18
After the explosive reveal ending last issue, and Batman continues to fight Poison Ivy's mutated monsters and winds up uncovering an even more gruesome horror that has embedded itself in the city's very foundations. All while the Joker's machinations start to coalesce in a partnership with a new ally.
It sticks the landing. Definitely Taylor’s best arc so far. And Janin is Janin. One of the best modern Batman artists.
Detective Comics #1106
What started as a mysterious infection on a boat in Gotham Harbor has grown into one of the most formidable threats Gotham City has ever faced! Now, with mere hours to go before Batman’s system is entirely overtaken by his infection, the Dark Knight must attempt to save his city—and himself—before it’s too late! Sticks the landing with some clever plotting, tense showdowns, continued great character work, and amazing art! We are in a Batman renaissance right now on the 3 signature titles!

Who knew Camp and Morian could get me into a zombie comic.
Some of the art in this is breathtakingly good.
Bleeding Hearts #2
A world overrun by flesh-eating zombies is the only world young Rabbit has ever known…and her mother, Cara, has done everything she can to get her ready to survive in it. But she never expected to meet a zombie who seemed to want to help her with this goal!
Very glad to say that I liked this even more than the first issue. Honestly, a great read here. This time around, we get to know two human protagonists, in Cara and Rabbit, as they encounter Poke. Camp did a great job quickly establishing the dynamic between the mother and daughter, while also giving a good amount of emotional weight for them. Additionally, Morian, once again, gives us some really more
