A different perspective: this is written like a Batman or X-men comic from the 80s: numerous subplots moving forward each and every issue, sometimes with only a page or two dedicated to one sub plot each issue. Less written for the trade and more of a slow burn. I actually think this may read worse in a trade....

The issues we see how much of a threat this infernal hulk is, are definitely highlights for me. Honestly how the story juggles three different narratives are all equally incredible.

Very glad to say that I liked this even more than the first issue. Honestly, a great read here. This time around, we get to know two human protagonists, in Cara and Rabbit, as they encounter Poke.
