I didn’t understand how Banner just showed up at the strange academy on the final page. Did they explain this?

H), the defining statement on psychic espionage returns with an all-new, entirely self-contained entry point into the genre-bending, Eisner Award–nominated series that Entertainment Weekly calls "one of the...
Didn’t get much out of this issue.
It’s a very modern approach to comic telling, with very little happening in a $5 issue.
Absolute Wonder Woman #21
Diana’s worst nightmares come to light. The Hieron finds a new host. Barbara facesa harsh reality. Cale loses control.
I picked this one up because Banners back in this issue. The book works better with Banner in it.

Not my favorite art style but it’s serviceable and I’m enjoying the story.
Absolute Flash #16
As Wally races to find the answers about the mysterious S.T.A.R. Labs founders, the Rogues have resurfaced with a new mission: secure Grodd and his father before they take over Colorado!
The best of the absolute universe continues.
For me this is superior to absolute Batman (which just isn’t for me).
This issue is great.

I just don’t get it. It might just not be for me.
Absolute Batman #21
Friends become enemies. Enemies become friends. Final forms are revealed, and Scarecrow’s reign of terror threatens to upend everything.
Good issue. For those who were upset about Kate being out of character in earlier issues, the twist was obvious.

As her actions raise alarms among friends and foes alike, the Question has come to Petalon in search of answers. But what she uncovers will force Kate into the most desperate fight of her life. I don’t love the art but I like the story a lot.

Deadman #1
The Deadman enters the Next Level! In the millisecond following his murder, the soul of shifty circus aerialist Boston Brand was commandeered by the goddess Rama Kushna, who deputized the erstwhile performer’s ghost with a sacred spectral assignment: the Custodian of All Souls! Now Brand floats—begrudgingly—through this bluegreen purgatory we call ...
I was not familiar with The deadman niche. Martin Morazzo has a very specific style, high level simplicity and kinda out of line/control. Matches perfectly with this story imo.
I can't say I'm hooked, bit this def belongs to the good stuff. The cover and future covers are unreal and most likely going to be sought after.

I felt the issue got a bit bogged down by excessive dialogue, it didn't need that much. Having a lot of dialogue is fine, but here it just didn't help move the story forward. That being said, I can't deny it kept me hooked the whole way through. I really liked the characterization of Deadman, and this supernatural horror vibe is right up my alley. I'll definitely check out the next issues.

It's hard for me to explain why...but, I really enjoyed this. Yes, definitely wordy. However, still really enjoyable. I think Prince did a nice job of capturing Boston's personality and I'm looking forward to more of that. Additionally, I really enjoyed the spirit-inhabited town, as I felt that it was a super interesting concept with potential for further exploration in the future. The antagonist more

Good comic.
The Fury of Firestorm #3
Lorraine is on the hunt for the only person who can bring Ronnie back from the brink: Martin Stein. But what did Martin do to cause such a rift between him and Ronnie to begin with?
Similarities to firestorm 3 aside, this was a good issue.
I haven’t read this title in a while. Glad I picked it up.
The appearance by two surprise guest stars and use of the wider DC universe was very cool.
JSA #20
The Spectre has taken hold of the JSA with one mission: find a new host! But as the JSA fight their former ally, they need to split up and get to the bottom of what has become of the spirit of vengeance!
Art is a 10. Story is not.
