Nice to see this after such a long time.

Didn’t get much out of this issue.
It’s a very modern approach to comic telling, with very little happening in a $5 issue.

I picked this one up because Banners back in this issue. The book works better with Banner in it.

Plot
Infernal Hulk has kidnapped Multiple Man and Glob of the X-Men to revive another monster, The Gardner. His plan is to continue resurrecting monsters.

Bruce Banner speaks with Tony Stark and Reed Richards, revealing that his blood no longer contains gamma radiation. The Eldest completely removed Hulk from his body. Banner asserts that the only way to defeat Infernal Hulk is by creating another, more powerful Hulk.

Bruce and the Avengers head to one of the areas Infernal Hulk has created—a bleak and gloomy paradise. They go to Skaar, Hulk's son, who reveals an interesting weapon: a plant called God's Blood, which repels evil and heals wounds.

Bruce doesn't trust this plant to be the solution and seeks out Doctor Voodoo to use his magic to carry out a mysterious plan: returning to the Soul Cage where he previously trapped Hulk.

Betty Ross is upset because Bruce has abandoned her again, and she sets out to find her father, General Ross.

The Infernal Hulk has become an unstoppable force of nature and cosmic power whose strength continues to grow. This is cosmic terror amplified by gamma radiation!

It's very somber, with more lines that give it a different, organic dynamism.

Not my favorite art style but it’s serviceable and I’m enjoying the story.

The best of the absolute universe continues.
For me this is superior to absolute Batman (which just isn’t for me).


This issue is great.

I just don’t get it. It might just not be for me.

Good issue. For those who were upset about Kate being out of character in earlier issues, the twist was obvious.

I don’t love the art but I like the story a lot.

Just a fun, creative and great comic.

I was not familiar with The deadman niche. Martin Morazzo has a very specific style, high level simplicity and kinda out of line/control. Matches perfectly with this story imo.

I can't say I'm hooked, bit this def belongs to the good stuff. The cover and future covers are unreal and most likely going to be sought after.

I felt the issue got a bit bogged down by excessive dialogue, it didn't need that much. Having a lot of dialogue is fine, but here it just didn't help move the story forward. That being said, I can't deny it kept me hooked the whole way through. I really liked the characterization of Deadman, and this supernatural horror vibe is right up my alley. I'll definitely check out the next issues.

It's hard for me to explain why...but, I really enjoyed this. Yes, definitely wordy. However, still really enjoyable. I think Prince did a nice job of capturing Boston's personality and I'm looking forward to more of that. Additionally, I really enjoyed the spirit-inhabited town, as I felt that it was a super interesting concept with potential for further exploration in the future. The antagonist we get here is intriguing, as well. I think I need to see a little more of him before fully forming a solid opinion on him, but I liked what we got here. Overall, I really enjoyed what we got. Room for improvement, for sure, but I still liked this a lot nonetheless. So glad we have a good Deadman book right now, especially considering that it's been almost a decade since the last solo series for him.more

Similarities to firestorm 3 aside, this was a good issue.
I haven’t read this title in a while. Glad I picked it up.
The appearance by two surprise guest stars and use of the wider DC universe was very cool.

Art is a 10. Story is not.
