Get Your Comic On - Luke Deckard

Superman The Stranger is quickly shaping up to be the Man of Steel equivalent of Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns. It’s bold, unsettling, and challenges what readers expect from a Superman story with its noir spin and Craig and Wordie’s evocative art deco style. This is the Superman story you must read! Superman: The Stranger #2 is a fantastic continuation of Wes Craig’s six-issue series set in 1938! A return to the early days, this story is a Superman story in its simplest form. Add on a politically charged plot, this series is set to be an instant classic! Read Full Review

Superman sees a higher calling while helping the voiceless as the Golden Age reveals more dangers. Craig hones in on the weight of hope & vintage looks guiding the way. A vastly different take on the Man Of Steel mythos. Read Full Review

The core of every true story is heart. This tale takes us back to a raw , more savage time with a villain that bleeds power. In it's rawness, this story beats like no Superman story has for years. The art is noir and pulls the pages to you. You get inside his mind. His fears , his faith and his contempt for all things corrupt, but alas he is still headstrong and vulnerable............ exquisite....JM

I love this. But I’m hesitant to give it a 10 because of The 9 full page adds that distributed the reading experience.
This book should not have ads. Why did the Batman First Knight and Batman Second Knight not have ads but this does? Both are black label. Deadman, Jonah hex and demon didn’t have any ads disrupting the story. Wtf.
