I'm not a big fan of this storyline. I understand the urge to shake things up, but adding time travel to the story completely ungrounds the story. Especially with tanks dropping out of the sky. I did enjoy the scenes with Geiger and the children, but I miss the Knight being part of the family. I'm also looking forward to seeing Ashley ARden again. So, let's wrap up the Northener storyline and move more
Geiger #22
“THE NORTHERNER: DEAD AMERICA,” PART THREE The mysterious Northerner believes he can learn the truth behind The Unknown War that transformed Tariq Geiger into a nuclear monster and killed his family. Geiger not only doesn’t believe him, but isn’t sure he even wants to know. They trek towards Detroit, where the Department of Historical Preservation ...
I'm not a big fan of this storyline. I really don't care about the Bushmaster villain. I would have liked to see more of teamup between Zodiac and Moon Knight, but he scared him away pretty quickly. I really want to see the wrap-up of the Asgardian villain, but McKay just completely forgot that he's still on the run.

Marc Spector: Moon Knight #2
TRAPPED?! Wounded like a wild animal in a trap, Marc Spector A.K.A. MOON KNIGHT lashes out! In league with MR. FEAR, Marc's oldest foe, BUSHMAN, has returned and intends to extract a VITAL piece of information from Moon Knight's fractured psyche! I'm not sure why this story even exists. The story ended in the first run. This does seem a little forced, and Thor is just annoying. I'm also over all of the backstabbing from Erik. Why are they even including him in their plans when they know how he is? They should have seen the other betrayal coming as well. These are the worst Vikings ever. Vicking are strategists. The action is good, and so i more
Kill All Immortals: II #3
A Viking’s power comes from their kin, a bond that is forever. The fugitive and fractured Asvalds join forces with some unlikely new allies to pull off a dangerous, near impossible heist right in the midst of their enemies. But when things don’t go according to plan, Frey must ultimately decide just what she wants in her own life, and how far she i...
This is a bridge issue. There really isn't any action, but there are some great scenes between Optimus and Duke with Clutch and Hound sitting on the sideline. I'm looking forward to seeing how Williamson continues this epic story.

OPTIMUS PRIME AND DUKE MEET FOR THE FIRST TIME What does this mean for future of the Energon Universe?
This is just not working for me. Magik comes off as a bratty kid. Not endearing in the least, and the entire setup of the Russian villain isn't working either. They should have kept it partially grounded and not gone completely supernatural. Ashley Allen is just not a good writer when it comes to Magik. I did like her Moonstar more than I thought. Admittedly, I enjoyed the first couple of issues o more
Magik & Colossus #2
PURGE ON ST. PETERSBURG! THE IMMORTAL and his demonic forces have corrupted the Rasputins' homeland! Racing against the clock to root out their villain, the siblings' biggest fight will be…with EACH OTHER? Will Illyana and Piotr be able to settle their differences, or will they be doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past?
This issue started badly. Jessica came off like a complete bitch against Luke. I was turned off immediately. Then, when Mary showed up, she acted like Marvel's version of Harley Quinn. I can't imagine Kingpin being married to her, though. I'll get the next issue and see if it gets better. Not sure why this is advertised as a red band.

As the wife of Mayor LUKE CAGE, she'll have to tread carefully as she forms a dangerous alliance with TYPHOID MARY to track down the killer. But as she delves deeper into Hell's Kit...
I had really high hopes for this one in the first issue - until the end. I don't like the gimmick of giving the apes the powers of the FF. Now they want to get rid of them, and the entire issue is them trying to find Taylor's ship at the bottom of the lake. The en of this issue is the saving grace with the entrance of Doom.

Planet Of The Apes Vs. Fantastic Four #2
CHAOS ON THE PLANET OF THE APES! Dr. Zira, Cornelius, Dr. Zaius and General Ursus now have the cosmic powers of the Fantastic Four! Can Reed, Sue, Ben and Johnny survive long enough to get their abilities back, or will they be stranded on this hostile world forever?
I was a little confused by this issue regarding the powers of the villain. I couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't, and they were able to walk into each other's hallucinations. Again, confusing. It continues to be good, I just wish there were more rules to the villain's powers.

But even if he can manage to throw a monkey wrench into the Sorceress’s works, will it be enou...
The main story isn't very good. It's a quick and easy mystery without much meat to it. I do like the art. However, the backup story was really good. It's about an Amazon-type woman who goes for short, men with an overblown ego. Did she fall for a real Leprechaun?

This is an interesting story since Conan isn't even in the issue. It's about a boy who was shunned due to a disability and becomes an assassin. I am looking forward to seeing more about this character and I hope we see the shapeshifter again and the sorceress from the previous issues.

Conan The Barbarian #29
New pulp-tastic tales in the tradition of Robert E. Howard.
A deadly new foe hunts Conan the Barbarian, tracking his spirit wherever he travels – a killer with keen blade in hand and teeth from old prey strung round his neck. The cult of the Black Stone wants revenge against the Cimmerian and the Son of the Tooth is their weapon of cho...
This was better than I thought it was going to be. I liked her Magik in the beginning, and then it got drawn out into being a disaster. I didn't know that Moonstar was a Valkyrie. At first I was wondering why Allen was using Norse mythology, but then it made sense.

Moonstar #1
DEATH AWAITS DANI MOONSTAR! When an ancient, soul-sucking weapon is set loose, it's up to Dani to track it down! But the weapon's deadly wielder won't make it easy for her. After recent tragedies, can Dani trust herself to save those closest to her? Or will her self-doubts lead to even more bloodshed?
I think this should have ended after the first arc. Instead, we get this very depressing follow up story. Pigeon figures out how save them only for his own sister to destroy everything. The question is do we really need this story? If Remenber is going to draw this out to a third arc, I'm probably going to drop it.

The Sacrificers #19
The world of Harlos is again fractured, trapped between opposing ideologies. As a perfect new order reaches its final stages, whispers of a new rebellion spread.
This issue had a some good action, but the stakes were pretty low. I think Misty should have been more involved rather than just a messenger. At least it colosed up in only 5 issues.

Daredevil / Punisher: The Devil's Trigger #5
THE TRIGGER IS PULLED! Gang warfare has reached a fever pitch as Daredevil and Punisher fight to protect New York City from a mad land grab. But will their tentative alliance survive this ordeal, or will the final battle be with each other? No one can be trusted!
I really think Lemire didn't learn his lesson on the last arc and plans on miling this storyloine for as long as he possibly can. This story is already becoming string cheese. I fhe goes beyond 8 parts, I'm dropping it. I don't think anyone is even reading this anymore. Every issue is the same. SHould we get together? Nah. Should we get ogether? It makes sense. Nah you smell funny. LOL. It's getti more
JSA #17
The heroes have assembled, but can they work together long enough to face down this existential threat to the citizens of Gotham?
This event got so convoluted and esoteric by the end, it didn't make a bit of sense. Mostly I just didn't care. I'm so over these events and they just keep doing them again and again. Lay off already. I thought this was just going to be like a fighting games, but the fighting games have better stories. Thank God this over.

It’s the finale to end allfinales as the one true champion is crowned, the fate of al...
This is a complete piece of garbage. Stephanie Philips swooping in to be a white savior. I knew Nichelle very well and this is what she reduces her to an activist. She obviously doesn't even know anything about Trek because there is an episode where Uhura meets Lincoln and she openly says that racism is a thing of the past. Yet here she goes on about being reminded that she is a black woman and he more
Star Trek: Deviations: Threads of Destiny
This special one-shot features Lieutenant Nyota Uhura. In the 23rd century, she explores far-flung star systems with her crew on the Enterprise as part of her mission to communicate and build bridges with life found across the Galaxy. But in the 20th century, humankind was working to build understanding among themselves, with African Americans on E...
The artwork in here is fantastic. This had some good moments with Lois and Saturn Girl in each other's minds. I'm still not a fan of Lois having powers. That needs to end and Williamson knows it. I thought she had Zod's powers. Superboy Prime's connection to the robot. I'm tired of the DC KO tie-in, hopefully we can get back on track now.

Superman #35
Superman’s time in the tournament has taken its toll. And now Darkseid’s Legion plans to make a massive sacrifice for their lord, and Time Trapper is too late to stop them. Only three unlikely heroes can show the corrupted Legion the light…The end of this issue sets up the end of DC K.O. but also massive status quo changes for Superman!
This issue had some problems. Starting with the doctor threatening to kill Batman if threatened the Joker. That is completely illegal. So, if Fraction was trying to get the reader to like this woman, all of that goodwill is goine. Then he had to take of his boots. So, weird. Al l that text just to learn that the Joker knows Batman's identity. Jeeze we have seen that before.

Batman #7
As Batman is beckoned to Arkham Towers by the mysterious man in Room Ten, nothing will prepare him for who he finds there. Some might call him the Caped Crusader’s archnemesis. Others might call him Batman’s best friend. Everyone calls him the Joker.
I'm just not a fan of Panosian's takes on these fairy tales. I did not like Lost Boy in the least, and here is starting with Alice as a mother, similarly to Wendy in the last book. The thing with the Caterpillar blowing smoke at people was interesting, but the side plot with the father poisoning and how that links to Wonderland, I am not understanding.

This was a good beginning, and I like the art better than in the Red Band series. We get a new introduction to Jigsaw. I like the whole candbar scene as well. I think Percy is going to do a good job with this series. Looking forward to seeing where he goes with it.
