A decent issue, though I lost a lot of respect for the scientist woman when she didn't realize that Batman and Bruce are the same person. I do like the art resembling Neil Adams.I also love Tim finally going away. He's been so destroyed by previous writers that I just hope they kill him off already. Retiring is just as good I guess. So, maybe some day a writer can return him to what he used to be. I'm not jiving with this story arc. It's a lot of text boxes for no reason. When did the king become a magic user? Way too much exposition about these barons, or nobles, or whatever they are. Only for them to be completely inconsequential since Conan took the crown anyway. Usually, he has arcs that end in 3 issues. I think the one I don't like is going to take longer.

This is a completely average and disappointing first issue. I was expecting a lot more from Williamson after G.I. Joe and Superman. Just from this issue, I'm getting the feeling he doesn't get Iron Man like he gets those other characters. I'm going to get issue 2 with the hopes that the story will go somewhere other than teachers being geniuses.

Truthfully, I'm not following Absolute Batman. The only reason I bought this issue is because Wonder Woman is in it. I like that she's taller than Batman in this universe. Batman going to Hades to find a remedy for Walon Jones doesn't really lend itself to the character's strength. There's no way that a robot can match the powers or strength of Superman. It makes no sense. I'm also not a fan of Lois having powers. I was glad when she lost them. IT's been three years, when is Zod going to claim his power back?

We start with a guy destroying his hand with a hammer. Pretty gruesome. The art is a little sloppy at times. There's way too much ink in this art, which makes it hard to make out faces sometimes. A filler issue. I wasn't a big fan of the mob Hulk in this one. I must have missed how Barry lost his powers. I'm also not sure about the science of Hal "pushing" Barry into super speed. That doesn't make any sense, and then on top of that, he is out of his line of sight. So, it wouldn't work. This issue wasn't as good as the others. It was more of a comedic story about the introduction of Roadblock. I love the character except for the Rock's portrayal of him. Overall, this issue was pretty silly. Let's see where it goes from here.

This was a setup issue for sure. We get a whole bunch of unrelated scenes throughout this issue, assuming setting up for the rest of this arc. I do like the team that Veronica Cale put together, and that Zatanna has tapped into her magic, but left her arm intact.

I am so sad this title is ending. It was a press of logic to see the Quietman take on three armed men simultaneously. Damian's argument that the Quiet Man is similar to Bruce was an inter. It's good to see someone take Scarface seriously. He's written as a serious threat. I'm looking foward to seeing how this closes up.

I'm sure what Greg Pak is doing here. I think he believes this show is a comedy. Abbott and Costello meets Supernatural. His take is not really working. I believe this is a limited series. I'll stick with it to issue 6, but this is a very average series with not a whole lot going for it. The stories are paper-thin, and he doesn't understand the car's link to Dean. I'm glad Palmiotti likes Misty Knight. We don't get to see her enough. Though I thought she always knew Matt's identity. I had a hard time with that, but the fight scene was good. Overall, it felt like a setup issue for Matt to make a meetin gwith the Punisher. not sure how many issues this is.

I'm not sure how you screw up Tomb Raider. One of the easiest characters in the world to write. Yet Casey found a way. Don't underestimate hack writers. This book has all of about 4 pages in a tomb where she confronts a ninja. The rest of it is all talkity talk talk since Lara has an interview with a reporter. No joke. I dropped off Aquaman months ago. He's one of my favorite characters and though I love Jeremy this was too much of a deviation from the character for me. He did finally shave the beard, so I appreciate that. I'm not liking that Aquaman stole Mera's powers. We have some good action here, and I like Billy sharing his power with Clark. However, in the end, I just don't care. I am just over these events, and one simply about people in a gladiatorial arena just doesn't do it for me. I already saw that in Secret Wars years ago. They just need to stop doing these events. I know it's a way to bring in the Absolute books, but it feels like just a stunt rathe We have some good action here, and I like Billy sharing his power with Clark. What a great ending to this arc. I liked Cobra Commander turning the tides, simply by offering money and a partnership. Destro finally deciding that Cobra Commander was needed for Cobra to be successful. I was wondering all of this time where Zartan had gone and boom, he finally shows up. Good stuff.

The birth of a reluctant villain in this issue. Not sure how the kids survived and suddenly popenly popped to corporate headquarters, but...okay. Otherwise, I thought the issue was pretty good. I'm looking forward to the conclusion.

The art of this is great, but it does take the story in a completely different direction. I only read Redcoat intermitantly so I had no idea who the Northerner was. I know that Geiger is an apocolypitic series, but it turned into complete sci-fi with the introduction of time travel and "drops" from some unnamed organization. This issue is more about the civilians and the families than it is about the killers. I don't quite understand the rules. They introduced the rule that the killer has to be using the weapon they started with to win. This info dump should not have beenin issue 9, but in issue 2. I know a lot of people love this. I think it's very average.
