I like absurd comedic superhero stories when handled by the right creative team. Unfortunately, Seeley and Sta. Maria aren't Claremont and Davis.
Also: WTF is even happening?
Inglorious X-Force #3
BOOM-BOOM BOMBSHELL! BOOM-BOOM is one of CABLE'S most trusted allies…or is she? A mission into a secret safe house reveals a startling seed of doubt…but can X-FORCE close in on their killer…before their own assassin catches up with them?
there is no one reading this comic. and its justified. Tim Seely has somehow lost the plot only 3 issues in. I asked myself 3 times... what is happening in this series at all? Maybe cable is still trying to stop President Kamala Khan from being killed ? (Let's hope he fails as the character is terrible). We cleared Hellverine and now BoomBoom as the assassin and maybe Cable is dead? who cares. We more

There are not enough opioids in the planet to make this book make sense. Is there any story progression ?? If so I missed it. A big fat nothing burger loaded with self indulgence and stoner imagery. What a mess of a book. At least parts of it are well drawn and colorful. Otherwise it’s nothing literally. The book has nothing more to say for many issues now and this is dragging along to fill i more
Absolute Martian Manhunter #10
John takes on the Agency while his family—and his world—crumbles around him! Bridget starts to see through the smoke to the malevolent force inside her own house! And where exactly is the Green Martian?!
Dc is taking some big chances coming off K.O and replacing Superman with a semi divisive Superboy Prime.
I must admit I loved this issue. But I like Superboy Prime when he’s written well. Semi meta -commentary, with his charm Is win win for me. Great first issue that takes some chances with his semi redemption story beginning. Mix it in with the amazing work of Dan Mora…book is gorgeous.

Superman #36
After the shocking events of DC K.O., Superman is missing. But one hero steps up to take his place…Superboy Prime?! Normally, Prime has only been part of massive DC events, but now he gets a real shot at showing the world he can be just as great a hero as Superman! Superstar artist Dan Mora returns to Superman for an action-packed and fun adventure...
Gail Simone continues her reign of terror on the X-Men books. This issue, like all the others in this “Where the Monsters Dwell " story, is particularly terrible. Whether it's the dialogue of Gambit and Rogue, the bumbling villains like Lady Darkhold who are dispatched like something out of Scooby-Doo, or the dragon at the end...this book offers so much to offend X-Men fans. The art is also som more
Uncanny X-Men #25
SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY ISSUE! A battle spreads across the globe, as the Uncanny X-Men face THE LEGION OF MONSTERS. FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER. WEREWOLF BY NIGHT. THE MANPHIBIAN. THE LIVING MUMMY and MORE as the team fights to save the souls of TWO X-Men!
The inconsistent art trend continues, as David Marquez fills his pages with lots of empty space, relying on the fact that his faces and figures still look better on a lazy work day than those of most other artists. Unfortunately, this is only going to work for so long before readers start seeing through the illusion. Just ask John Byrne.
Fill-in artist Luciano Vecchio's work looks more

Issue 18 of Absolute Wonder Woman is a bit of a slow down from last weeks kinda lazy grow bigger punch fest. We get some nice moments here with Diana and Zatanna after they have a brief battle. The book features Dianas full cast of friends made along the series. If you haven't been paying full attention, you'll have next to no idea who the hell these people all are. If you have - it's a nice callb more
Absolute Wonder Woman #18
What happens when you send a witch to kill a witch? Time to find out as the daughters of the most powerful magic users in the universe come together at last, forced into combat with devastating stakes—it’s the Witch of the Wild Isle versus Zatanna Zatara, the Mistress of Magic!
What can be said about this issue. I’ll start with the most basic. Tom king sets up nothing. Tom Writes what he may think is a big story arc but like most of his work It falls flat from the bad out of character work. You get 1 panel of WW in the book. The storytelling is just abysmal. The characters? Wooden. Often feeling like they are reading scripts or cosplaying as the actual characters. Much more
Wonder Woman #31
The Matriarch commences her crusade to rule over the DC Universe. As heroes and villains alike fall to her insurmountable power, Wonder Woman and her daughter Trinity must unite to save all that they hold dear. Well we get more of the Ryan Reynolds Deadpool movie script that didn't make it to Hollywood. Thats what this is, it's just Ben trying to write Ryan Reynolds Deadpool and not Deadpool in comics. It's not as over the top as the first issue with Deadpool emerging from a cows butt. being a little more grounded helps this issue along than the first one in terms of plot but its all still up in the air. more

I have never been a Tony Fleecs fan. I enjoyed the first 3 issues of Feral before it became annoying, and I stopped buying it . With that said , I admit I was apprehensive of seeing his name on a Deathstroke book. But why not ? I really enjoyed this first issue. It's fast-paced, and it’s Slade doing what he does best. The plot was basic with Slade on a job with little intel who contracted him. T more
Deathstroke: The Terminator #1

The hit is out on Deathstroke as he evolves into his purest form…a terminator out for revenge and ready to kill anyone who stands in his way. Prepare for brutal violence with over-the-top ac...
Massive exposition dumps abound and flashbacks. Boring generic villain. More Glob. I almost fell asleep 1/2 through the issue. It’s so low tier mid but at least the art remains high quality with Diaz fighting for his life to make this script enticing.
X-Men #27
DANGER ROOM: PART TWO! The X-Men are scattered across the globe and strained to their breaking points! Tensions at home threaten to overwhelm both Merle and the Factory, while the X-Men fight for their lives in a nightmare at sea! And in prison, a mission of freedom could be yet another trap. Who has been orchestrating these calamities? Find out he...
I've been a fan this series but this issue is a huge miss . What even was this? a battle with one above all on the moon? just awful stuff. this series is better than this. it all happens so quick its like I was missing pages. for the little that did even happen.
Infernal Hulk #5
INFERNAL VERSUS ALMIGHTY! As Infernal Hulk prepares to deal his death blow against Earth, a being of unimaginable power descends from the heavens to save us: the Creator of the Marvel Universe himself! Everything on Earth will change after this shocking, never-before-seen battle for the ages: INFERNAL HULK versus THE ONE ABOVE ALL!
I ask one big question with this series - Why does this need to exist?
We dive back into a series full of just eye rolling garbage. The overall premise isn't bad. In fact I like it. How it's being executed however by Alex Paknadel is the issue. The Reavers are hunting Mei who escaped from their mining facility. Cyclops was shot down while traveling and is hurt and without his visor. They li

Cyclops #2
OUT OF CONTROL! The Reavers are on the hunt and Cyclops is virtually blind! Will Cyclops be able to help a young mutant escape their cybernetic clutches? Or should she kiss her freedom goodbye?
Battle Beast is back after a hiatus, and man did I miss this book. We get a slow down this issue while all our cast of characters heal up, and (imagine this Spiderman death spiral) we get character development plus plot progression!! A top book continues to be awesome despite the mellow tone of this book. The art is fantastic and detailed. Welcome back, Battle Beast!!
Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #7
NEW STORY ARC THE BIGGEST SERIES OF 2025 RETURNS Battle Beast continues his quest to find the one being who can defeat him in battle and end his life. But the Viltrumites are looming…
Joe Kelly must have given just some outline notes because even he would not pull off a dud of a comic like this one. We had 1 decent issue of Spirals. The Venom issue sucked… nothing really happened to move the plot forward and here we are all over again… NOTHING IS HAPPENING. It’s a shame too because we do get some moments in this series with MJ and Peter, Eddie as an abused child. All the char more
Amazing Spider-Man #24
CARNAGE MEETS ITS MATCH!? DEATH SPIRAL PART FOUR! Carnage faces off against Torment while the serial killer's latest murder leaves the Spidey-Symbiote Alliance shaken.
The Lobo Cancellation Special was one of the funniest and best comics of all 2024. Hearing that we are now going to get another Lobo series had me excited. Lobo is a bit much at times but he’s always hilarious and absurd. Skottie young on this title gets the absurd part -mostly this plot but he misses the comedy that made the cancellation special so great. We get glimpses of it so maybe he can tw more
Lobo #1
VRRRRROOOOOOMMMMMMMM! The Main Man’s back, baby! And his ride is a motorcycle that moves at the speed of sound, but only if that sound is a rippin’ guitar solo, and you better hop on before he leaves you in the dust with all the bastiches he’s fragged for money or convenience! The Eisner-nominated creative team that brought you a fantastic parable ...
Fantastic issue. So fun. No further notes.
G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #326
NO TURNING BACK! Duke, Roadblock, Scarlett, and Snake-Eyes head deep into Trucial Abysmia on a rescue mission with enemies around every corner!
We pick up from the previous spiral issue which was quite good and get this. A full on slam the breaks book full of so much darn talking. Nothing really happens at all here. It barely moves the story forward. What a misstep vs last issue. Who ever is telling Al Ewing he can write comedy needs to stop. The jokes are awful. Inappropriately timed. And Al has the comedic timing of a dead moth.
