Nov 04, 2026Uncanny X-Men #38 is a rewarding chapter that brings Gail Simone's long-running storylines into focus while setting up some dangerous new possibilities. Sarah Gaunt's growing influence is increasingly unsettling, especially as her four mutant protégés begin to reveal their abilities. Meanwhile, Dazzler's defiance at Graymalkin Prison delivers a satisfying moment of reckoning. Luciano Vecchio brings incredible energy to the action, with striking character designs and some genuinely disturbing imagery. Packed with consequential developments, this standout issue rewards longtime readers and offers plenty of reasons to jump back in if you're not reading already. Read Full Review

I really enjoyed last issue’s guest artist. Unfortunately we’re back to stiff posing and stupid manga faces this month. The writing is okay, but at this point I’m wondering if Simone is even capable of writing anything that’s not about parenting in some way.
