Aquaman & The Flash: Voidsong #1
| Writer | Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly |
| Artist | Vasco Georgiev |
| Cover Price | $6.99 |
They descend suddenly from the stars, in monumental ships like floating cathedrals. They are touched by a dark and terrible force from beyond our reality, silent but for the one note they emit that freezes all motion. Their mission: to drain the Earth of all its kinetic energy and leave it a lifeless husk. They never expected anyone could escape their song-but the Flash was in the Speed Force when they struck, and Aquaman was in the deepest ravine far below the ocean's floor. These heroes have little in common. They've rarely even fought side by side without their fellow Jus-tice League members. Now they must find a way to work together again more

Jun 21, 2022Vasco Georgiev brings an intense and beautifully detailed style to the story and its characters. The style is perfect for the kinetic energy of the story and I look forward to see more. Read Full Review

Jun 21, 2022After a disastrous few years of lackluster and outright bad Aquaman titles, Aquaman / The Flash: Voidsong #1 is a surprising breath of fresh air. The alien threat feels epic, the logic behind the unlikely team-up makes sense, and the art is gorgeous. Read Full Review

Jun 21, 2022A great summer read! Fifty-page issues, with every page very entertaining. A nice alternative to big summer "events." You don't have to have read thirty different comics to enjoy this one! Read Full Review

Jun 22, 2022Jackson and Lanzing have delivered another fun debut giving us high stakes, lots of action, and some great moments between Barry and Arthur. It's another example that if you see their names on a comic, it's one to pick up and give a chance, you'll rarely be disappointed. Read Full Review

Jun 22, 2022Ultimately, Aquaman and The Flash: Voidsong #1 is an excellent character exploration built on relationships. Kelly and Lanzing's focus on relationships in this issue is a double-edged sword as it allows the reader to gain a deeper understanding of these heroes but also puts the main conflict on the backburner. Unfortunately, a few narrative choices surrounding The Flash's conflict resolution and visual storytelling inconsistencies prevent this issue from reaching perfection. Read Full Review

Jun 22, 2022The only real hiccup here is that there are times when orienting yourself as the reader takes a moment, but it's a solid start to what feels like a truly intense (in the best way) series. Read Full Review

The Comicbook Dispatch - Dispatchdcu
Jun 21, 2022AQUAMAN and the FLASH are certainly as connected as night and day. And thus, Lanzing and Kelly do a fantastic job hammering that point across. However, it's done at the expense of some character traits and key plot points about the overarching dilemma our heroes find themselves in. Read Full Review

Jun 21, 2022Too much of this issue centered around establishing this particular take of Aquaman and The Flash and not enough on the threat the two Justice League members are facing. Next issue will need to bring some significant progression of the Void to determine if this mini-series is worth seeing it play out. Read Full Review
