Georgiev's artwork does an excellent job illustrating how the heroes' strategies are different, but their punchline remains the same. The good will of the first issue doesn't last. This isn't bad but man, did I just lose a ton of interest in it.

Halfway through this issue, the story just went off the rails. I liked how Aquaman ran to Atlantis to get to Mera, but he should have been worried about Atlantis as a whole. Instead, he swam past everyone to get to her. Then the reveal of an Atlantean space program fueled by stolen speed force - WTF. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard and I've heard some stupid stuff. Then the line, "I can't be a king without listening to my queen." What the hell does that mean, that's a whipped puppy who can't make decisions for himself. That's not Aquaman in the least. Jeeze this went downhill fast.
