Other endings brought forth over the course of the Fall of X event have been, unfortunately, for the most part disappointing. This one was vibrant, thrilling, and pulsing with deeply ominous life. I strongly recommend it. Read Full Review

My favorite of all the ongoing Krakoan era X-books. Bravo Kieron Gillen, and thank you.

OK, Gillen. This was the most WICKED and the DIVINE issue of the X MEN ever.

While this title definitely took a hit with the Fall of X, the way Gillen just pulled the shit he pulled in this issue should be studied. That's fucking wild. Also, I didn't know this was a thing: Mother Righteous hate. She's a great villain. I genuinely didn't know people didn't like her lmao. Sad.

Oh gosh...I feel like this ending demands another Sins of Sinister-like event. I wonder how this plotline is going to wrap up... Also, this makes me feel like I need to go back and reread virtually all of Kieron Gillen's work in the Krakoan era to see how he laid the groundwork for this moment. Absolutely brilliant.

A very good and intriguing ending to Immortal X-Men. By far the best book in the lineup post Hickman leaving. Gillen could have made it flow better with better narration in the boxes but it still works well when you sit back and think about it. RYP might not have been the best choice here but it's very good and detailed art where there are no shortcuts taken. It drives the book forward but sometimes the emotions or flow doesn't translate for me. Might be me but I do appreciate the effort especially in scenes like where Mother Righteous gets kicked in the face with beauty and Curiel's colors are very nice.

This finale starts a little slow and verbose. I never did get an explanation of Mother Righteous's magic that satisfied me--though I guess the point is moot now. On the plus side, the art is impressive, lots of the dialogue is memorable, and the new revelations that emerge by the end are profoundly interesting.

Some of the way it was written docked it a little. Specifically the Mother Righteous dialogue, but it really sold me on the way the issue tied all it's threads to make an impactful ending.

This was a fairly solid issue, but I do feel very similar to how I felt with the previous one, in that I found myself interested in the pages with Xavier and Sinister, but not so much with Mother Righteous, Exodus, Destiny, etc. There are certainly some intriguing ideas present here, I just wish everything came together nicer, especially for the final issue of a series I was really loving before Fall of X. That said, I'm still looking forward to X-Men: Forever and Rise of the Powers of X, both from Gillen.

This final issue is a mixed bag. While it delivers on the Krakoa mystery front, it struggles to find balance between the larger narrative as it reaches its conclusion and the increasingly overbearing presence of Mother Righteous (if her presence could somehow get any worse). Her constant need for self-righteous commentary wore thing months ago and her presence in this issue disrupts Gillen's narrative flow as we go between the more intriguing storyline following Xavier and Mister Sinister's presence into grandstanding exposition from Mother Righteous. The twist at the end is promising, though it feels like it should have come much earlier and replaced some of the meandering plots our various main characters were caught up in.

Mother Righteous is very annoying, she doesnt have an engaging personality and good chemistry whatsoever. Also, the art, dialogue and thought boxes dont work for me.
