    All-Comic - Alex Mansfield

    Jun 01, 2015

Issue #8 is a glorious coda to a series that reveled in upping the ante with each installment and one where the individual contributions culminate in an explosive and assertive conclusion. Yes, there were ridiculous levels of satisfying action and yes, there were moments of sardonic self-aware humor and it all synthesized in a story that was far greater than one might have expected. In the end, it exceeded all expectations while delivering on every one; friends, the Devil, the end of the world, and a story that never once took its foot off the pedal as it roared forward to what was still to come. Comics: The Gathering - Forrest Hollingsworth

    Jun 01, 2015

It’s a tongue-in-cheek thing. It’s the dial that goes all the way to eleven. It’s the perfect send-off for a book that was always about way more than trucks. It’s also damn near the closest thing this industry should have as a golden standard for blockbuster, action comics making with a real, oily and nitrous heart at the center. Read Full Review

    GWW - Casey Walsh

    Jun 02, 2015

The Ghost Fleet #8 is my first big for best comic of the year so far. With a series that has been non stop craziness, Cates and Johnson deliver their most insane chapter yet with issue 8 and present and ending that is not to be missed. If you haven't been reading The Ghost Fleet, put up your feet, grab a beer and sit back an amazingly awesome ride full of friendship, betrayal, explosions and the end of the world. Read Full Review

    Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal

    Jun 05, 2015

This is a short review. It's the end of a series that should have kept going because it just got really fucking good. If it was the stock market each issue would have seen an increase on the charts and now we're just cut off like the Feds found some wrong doing, but there's no wrong doing. Just another comic book causality of a medium that for some damn reason only wants capes and tights. Me, I'd rather read Ghost Fleet then to see if Spider-Man is going to run out of webs or if Superman will yet again punch his way out of a problem" but I guess that's just me. Read Full Review

    Horror DNA - James Ferguson

    Jun 10, 2015

The Ghost Fleet ends in such a way as to herald in a new beginning.  It's a balls-to-the-wall action book with a massive supernatural angle that changes everything in such an awesome way.  It goes from being exciting to dreadful to friggin' metal.  If you've ever liked any action movie that's ever been made, you should read The Ghost Fleet. Front Towards Gamer - Lido

    Jun 01, 2015

Ghost Fleet is blockbuster comics at its absolute best. The series takes you on an incredible journey across focus, tone, and even genre all without missing a beat or ever once feeling dull or padded; the characters are fun, engaging, and well written. Most of all, it's a comic that's incredibly excited about being a comic book, excited about all the insane and limitless freedom that affords it. It gets the best out of everyone involved with it and is one hell of a ride. Highly recommended. Read Full Review

This was a fun, action-packed story with a fun, action-packed final issue. Unfortunately the series was cut short at 8 issues when it was supposed to go 12, and you can tell the pacing ramps up dramatically towards the end. The ending was a bit strange and makes me desperately wish for a Ghost Fleet sequel series in that Mad Max wasteland future they teased, but alas. For what it was, this was an entertaining read and I'm glad to have finally checked it out. Also, I loved the "Meta BOOM" at the beginning! Brilliantly hilarious little cameo appearance from Donny Cates and DWJ.
