IGN - Jesse Schedeen
Jun 05, 2013I don't mourn the cancellation of this series because I'm worried about Bucky falling off the radar. It's a safe bet Marvel has some sort of relaunch planned to coincide with next year's Captain America sequel. I'm simply disappointed that this creative team wasn't given the chance to delve deeper into Bucky's world. We can only hope they'll be reuniting on a different series soon. Read Full Review

Jun 11, 2013By the time I finished reading I felt sad to know that this was the last issue of what has been one of Marvel's best books in Winter Soldier. The great thing is that Jason Latour and Nick Klein were able to end the series on a high note with Winter Soldier #19. This was a character focused story that showed how far Bucky Barnes has come since being brought back to life years ago. The ending which revealed what Bucky used the Cosmic Cube for was a great way to end the series and gives hope for the character's future, wherever Bucky ends up popping up next. If you like grounded, character focused stories I highly recommend buying the Winter Soldier trades, especially if you enjoyed Brubaker's Captain America run. Read Full Review

FINAL ISSUE! . . $3, 20pgs. Explosive Cover! $@#%&! ADs! . . . Latour and Klien wrap up Brubaker's Fantastic character return and rise to his own title! The only got one arc, but i feel it was an excellent effort which respects Ed and James. Hopefully we wont have too long a wait for his return. While i enjoyed this issue and the title, it may be my last marvel book for awhile. Its decisions to cancel excellent titles and rip them away from writers making them so special, that is just the tip of the ice burg for why an old marvel fan will see himself with marvel books in his pull. but in case you were wondering... Too many ads, harsh prices, reduced pages, decompression, crappy paper, self-wrap covers and douchy online editors... well they more
