Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles
Jul 14, 2020While this maxi-series was largely tied to one extensive plot, hopefully DC will consider an ongoing series or at least another limited series. This creative team deserves to tell further adventures of Supermans pal. Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Derek McNeil
Jul 15, 2020Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #12 is an easy title to overlook. It mostly looks like a side story to the Superman books. It looks more like a comical diversion from the main titles, but it actually contains a well-written and surprisingly intricate story. I really didn't know what to make of this series at first. However, I have really come to enjoy it the story played out. Read Full Review

Jul 16, 2020There's a clear sighted sensibility to the series optimism, as it celebrates an idea of who we are that's very much worth believing in. Read Full Review

Jul 15, 2020I'll miss this book. For the entirety of its run it's been perhaps the best title in DC's current lineup, and consistently delivers the laughs as well as the heart. Fraction's scripts are teeming with life, and the artists deliver some of the most beautiful pages of comics I've read in some time. This is a diamond in the rough, and one that I can't wait to watch readers discover for years to come. Read Full Review

Jul 15, 2020It is a funny and smart book and it is unlike any series that I've read. I only hope that we get more stories for Jimmy with the same creative team, now that this limited series is over. Read Full Review

Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj
Jul 17, 2020This book is a winner. Fraction and Lieber took what looked to be scattershot weird episodes and out of that weaved a story that became more integrated until suddenly you realize you indeed are reading one big arc. And if you haven't been reading it, you missed out on greatness. I am sad knowing I won't be getting more of this book. Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield
Jul 15, 2020How is Matt Fraction going to bring the bizarre story of Jimmy Olsen to a close in only 22 more pages? Well, it turns out he has an answer to that " and about ten more twists and turns along the way before he does. His reinvention of the classic 1960s series with Steve Lieber was easily the strangest DC title, but it was almost always a brilliantly bizarre journey. Read Full Review

Perfect series. My favorite DC series in the past year, this should be talked about when awards season comes around.

Just wonderful. I was a skeptic when this comic began and wasn't sure why everyone else was so into this comic, but here at the note-for-note perfect ending I have no choice but to acknowledge that I was wrong to doubt this series: it was perfect and beautiful and I want another one right away please.

Solid ending, although I wasn't a huge fan of Julian as the antagonist and the ending of Jimmy taking control of Lex's bank account

One the most fun and enjoyable series I read in years. Fraction just delivers on the nonsense of Jimmy Olsen's DC shenanigans and he also gave me the best Batman in forever. Steve Lieber is the perfect art partner for this craziness and he does some nice work in this last issue. Props to Nathan Fairbairn on colors keeping it tight with the sun downs and those faces and shades were nice too.

I'll have to break the mold here. I thought this was a good ending but not exactly perfect. Sorry, not sorry.
