Remender and Immonen have brought the new Captain America into the Marvel U with a bang and the seeds of his war against HYDRA that have been planted in this arc are fantastic. Apr 29, 2015Regardless of the bumps in the road, however, Remender and Immonen have put together a breezy, action-packed conclusion to Sam Wilson's first arc as the All-New Captain America. While it's a shame that Remender couldn't really commit to any of the character development he teased in this issue - I guess Secret Wars will be enough to juggle, beyond questions of whether or not Sam Wilson is sterile - but this is an enjoyable enough read. May 04, 2015"All-New Captain America" #6 is a solid, satisfying conclusion to a story that has shaped the new Captain America, defined his cast and reinvigorated the franchise. Choosing to use a myriad of foes from Captain America's mythos was an inspired decision, and one that Remender, Immonen, Von Grawbadger, Gracia and Caramagna delivered quite well. This run of the star-spangled, shield-slinging Avenger is certain to be remembered fondly, and I will certainly enjoy re-reading it at some point in the future. Read Full Review

May 05, 2015It's too bad that this series has to come to an end to make way for Secret Wars as I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was a huge fan of Remender's Cap series before this, and I honestly think I like this All-New series better. The good news is that this issue ends on a surprising cliffhanger that will lead nicely into a series focusing in on Hydra written by Remender, while the bad news is we won't be getting a monthly Sam Wilson as Cap book for at least a little while. We'll have to settle for following him into the All-New, All-Different Avengers book which I hope does him as much justice as this series has. Read Full Review

I didn't feel like this issue was an essential but the final issue of Rick Remender's All New Captain America story is still pretty fun. It wraps up Sam Wilson's struggles with his past and he finally comes to terms with the hero he is. There is a slight twist at the end of this book which isn't really as significant as it should be but All New Captain America is a great story and I recommend it to any Cap fan.

The Good: This really was a good arc to set into motion Sam earning his wings as the new Captain America. There was enough of a story to set up some main heroes, villains, and give a "birds eye" view to Sam's world. Of course the art was dramatic and set a wonderful tone that will be hard to match for whomever the incoming artist may be if the title continues past after Secret Wars. I appreciated the way that this issue set-up the incoming Secret War series as it lays the groundwork to seamlessly enter that universe and not be the typical AOA-type setting many of them are apparently taking on. Somewhat boring issue and the last stand between Sam and Baron Blood, which was supposed to be the climax of the series, seemed pretty bland. At the end, Misty reunited with Sam and somehow has tied up all the loose ends, like recapturing Lucas. On the other hand, Misty convincing Taskmaster not to blow up his bomb by paying him more than Zemo did was by far the best part of this series. It was great. This issue ends with a cliffhanger that doesn't seem to be leading anywhere. Yeah, not a fan of that
