Doom Patrol by Waid would be amazing. We don't get to see either near enough anymore.

The Man of Steel and the Dark Knight have arrived at the compound of Niles Caulder-the Chief in charge of that strange band of misfits known as the Doom Patrol-but all is not as it seems. Apr 19, 2022Batman/Superman: World's Finest #2 is an excellent follow-up issue that builds the story with moments that play on the reader's emotions. More heroes of the DCU make their way into this book which is fantastic as it is titled World's Finest, but we get plenty of extra heroes. The time travel part was a little unbelievable, but I won't get too hung up on it for the stake of the story. The issue serves as a good setup that drives you to continue this adventure. Mike W. Barr's Detective run was "dated" in its time hut ended up becoming a cult classic. Even Morrison cited it as a huge inspiration. This is that... now. Waid is an amazing writer. He is as woke as woke can get but he doesn't let that get in the way of telling a timeless Batman/Superman epic. Keep it up. Don't give Dan Mora any fill-ins. Delay it if you need to! Mora is also awesome.

Great followup to a strong first issue. Waid and Mora have captured lightning in a bottle. The art is on point, and the story is well plotted. The script is great, capturing the iconic personalities of these characters. Kudos to all. A few comments: I would dearly like to see a Mark Waid Doom Patrol series, based on the portrayal in this series. I'm not sure exactly when this takes place. It's tough to tell which Robin this is. It's doesn't appear to be Damian, based on personality. The best fit would be Dick, given the back and forth with Supergirl. The thing is, I don't much care. This comic was enjoyable, and I'm looking forward to what happens next.

I had to check the date while reading this comic, I thought I was in the 60's with how Silver Age this was. I am a huge fan of Morrison's DP, but the classic Arnold Drake team fits so well! Supergirl breaking the time barrier might seem jarring at first, but once you embrace the super-dickery of the 60's antics it's extremely hard not to have fun. Bravo Waid and Mora!

This comic oozes silver age style and a big part of that is thanks to Dan Mora. His work is vibrant, energetic and most importantly, fun to look at. He's able to take a basic expository scene and turn it into something interesting and unique, which makes for a better than average information dump. Waid is having a lot of fun here too. So many of the little interactions, like the ones featuring Niles Caulder and Batman or Supergirl and Robin, are just a delight to read. My one slight criticism is that the plot is a bit thin, favoring style over substance, but that's a minor quibble when the total package is this much fun.

Not bad. Issue #1 was a little more exciting but this provided a good time for us. It seems to take place in Dick Grayson's later days as Robin. Pretty close to where the original World's finest ended, with the many numerous reality alterations between still made. All-in-all I was pretty pleased. We need more comics like this in this unstable age we live in. I expect the next several issues to also be as entertaining as these first couple have been. This series is only 2 issues in and shows more promise than any team-up series in years.

i like the first issue more due to how bombastic it was but this is still a very fun issue. the art is stellar and the team-up between two heroes (not batman and superman, another two i wont spoil) was unexpected and a blast to read.
