You're on to something. The best parts of this series were written by Ram V and Torrun Gronbekk. Ewing's contributions were, by far, the weakest issues.

This was much better than the first issue.
I really enjoyed this. The art and story were on point. I like the family dynamic a lot. A story that's, ostensibly about getting a Christmas tree, was somehow action packed, funny, and touching.

Solid start. Excellent Art.
This was a promising beginning. The art was a stand out, Cagle did a fantastic job. The story is promising. I found the characterization of Orion as someone who "Never disobeys Highfather" was odd. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
The New Gods #1

So the good news is Venom Was is over...
This issue doesn't suck, but it isn't very good.
The art is fine. I don't care for the new look, but the storytelling is competent and the characters that aren't Venom look consistently good. The action is well done, what there is of it
Who is Venom? I don't care, and I should. Though the mystery is competently set up, the "suspects"ar

this was not a bad event. But it was confusing and I wished it could have been better. I wished Meridius was more threatening. I wish Dylan Brock was more interesting. King in Black may not be better conceptually, but at least it was interesting and easier to understand.
Overall, this was jut a let down for me. Which is a shame, because I admire Al Ewing for being bold and introducing c

Well, this was just awful.
This whole series was a major disappointment for me. The art was fine, but the story was appalling - from the pro wrestling set up, to the contrived confrontation between Dylan and Eddie, to playing hot-potato with the symbiotes, to the underwhelming villain. This was a mess from start to finish, and it's on brand for Al Ewing, of late.
I'm glad this is

This may have been the weakest offering from Ghost Machine, but it's still pretty good.
The art is above average - Snejbjerg is a seasoned pro, and, though his art is markedly different from the other GM artists, he is an excellent storyteller. Tomasi is a very good writer, and his character work and dialogue in this issue is fine.
This issue was fine. I would have preferred not t
