Yeah..... overall I got to say this is my favorite Superman event of all time, surpassing Superman Reborn and just below Death of Superman. The art, the action, the pacing all works for me. I like how Superman didnt just punch the villain to smithereens, but everyone had a big role to play. The Super family coming in to help Superman, and Lex Luthor deactivating Brainiac's ship was well-done. Just another solid issue by Williamson, Izaakes and company. While i would prefer less decompressed stories, the creative team nonetheless provides positive momentum each issue. This issue, like most in this run, brings a smile at some point. Looking forward to the "showdown" next issue!

Points for art only!

Sigh, sigh. From a writing perspective, it's interesting how this run is doing more damage to Selina's character than her other infamous runs - at least prior writers were trying to tell a story about a character. This feels like just random ideas happening, but it really erodes who Selina is as a person in process. Why does she need money? Didn't she just teach a bunch of people to rob half of Sigh, sigh. A huge swing and a miss! Why wouldn't we see a flashback story that explains why Diana does not want Clark to interfere or just do a reprint that supports why Diana is refusing help (except King probably doesn't have the receipts needed to support it).

Tini Howard's run can't end soon enough.

If this story needed to be told, I'm glad Mark Waid was the one who told it. Should kneecap any hack who decides they need to screw with Kingdom Come for the next few generations.

Horrible comic

Do you like drama? Do you like stories of betrayal? Do you like family drama? Do you like meteors? How about all together in one shit sandwich?

Pretentious beyond anything reasonable. King swings for the fences and generates a big whiff of hot air.

I can give Tom king a lot of flak, I think a lot of his books rely on hitting you over the head with faux-gravitas, kind of like being a Neil Gaiman but without the depth or talent.

It's almost a crime that this comic isn't selling 200,000 copies each month. It's arguably DC's best current comic. I've been praising Dan Mora's art since BOOM's Once & Future and I'm delighted he's on this book. Waid appears to be having an absolute blast writing this series.

An essential buy!
