What can be said about this book... I'll start with this. Jeremy Adams is a normally fantastic, fun writer. I love his run on Green lantern and Aquaman. When he is left alone to flesh out stories and ideas he thrives. But he leans into bad ideas and past mistakes in an effort to make it better. Sometimes it's best left alone. This is an idea that DC editorial came to him with and most likely said more
DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1
Unexpected fighters from beyond the DC Comics enter the arena! Wait... What? WHO?! As the remaining champions in the K.O. tournament prepare for the final rounds, they discover that there isn't enough Omega energy left to crown the winner a King Omega. To have any hope of stopping Darkseid, they'll need to engage in combat with the champions of oth...
Deniz Camp has let the smoke get to his brain. A heavy handed political message that lacks any justification in this book. A total wreck from a writer who must spend more time wrapping blunts than working on plot and pacing.
Absolute Martian Manhunter #8
Something weird(er) is happening in the town of Middleton, and John Jones is in no mental capacity to handle it. Dealing with a splitting city, a marital split, and a splitting hangover, what happens when he splits from the Martian? Like all breakups, John and the Martian find out what it feels like to be even more alone...and who might be waiting ...
The book is the newest example of the emperor's new clothes - most people who praise this book can't say why, but when they try, they sound as high as Deniz Camp loves to beag he is on social media. Say no to drugs kids, and talking chicken wings

Absolute smelling-your-own-farts #8 is an absolute waste of the reader's time and money. Even worse, it's an absolute waste of artist Javier Rodriguez's talent. Camp needs to lay off the holy herb and start writing a coherent story that actually goes somewhere.

The hiatus makes it that there "needs" to be recap, but some of it goes directly against things we saw at the end of the first trade. The art is good, but certain things feel more like gimmicks than they did in the first six issues (ie: multi-colored wing sauce and noodles). The last 2 pages may be the best and most intriguing the series has had yet, but not much happens leading up to it. I know more
Absolute Martian Manhunter #7
After the mind-altering events of the White Martian's first foray on earth, the Agency-a shadowy group with unlimited governmental authority- comes to investigate the strange occurrences in Middleton. John must juggle his job, hiding the Martian, his expanding abilities, and his crumbling relationships, all while living out of a motel. Meanwhile, B...
Another epic masterpiece by John Layman, my all-time favorite writer!!!!
Titans #30
DC K.O. All Fight Month, round 4 of 8! Grab yourself a ringside seat and get ready for the latest round of K.O. carnage!
I'm left scratching my head overall. What even was this story? Was it needed? I don't think so.
At least it was a nice shout-out to Tim Sale. I've enjoyed the different artists' takes in each issue. I really like Matteo Scalera's art in this final issue. It's worth reading the interview with him at the end. For me, this series has been all about the art. Unfortunately I think Jeph Loeb

Batman: The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween #10
It's all been leading to this-the heart-pounding conclusion to Batman: The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween! Don't miss it!
I was looking forward to this. Mark Waid back on Flash. Cool! This could be good... I didn't realize Christopher Cantwell was co-writing it. Well, it's not terrible, but it ain't great either. I found it very expo-heavy. A lot of tell, tell, tell; and then this happened, and this, etc, etc. Nice art by Vasco Georgiev, though. But overall it was disappointing. 5.5/10
Flash #26
As the chaos around the DC Universe erupts during DC K.O., Impulse has an idea how to fix it: Impulsepoint-a terrible move that could wipe out everything unless the Flash can catch up with him as they race through time!
Layman's winning streak continues! A MODERN MASTERPIECE!!!!
Titans #20
TEMPERS FLARE! Take an overly-emotional empath and add a hearty dose of psychosis, and what do you got? A recipe for disaster! Also: A belligerent boyfriend, an enraged archer, an unsound cyborg, an agitated alien, a testy tactician, and a livid team leader. Yes, Titan tempers are running hot, but the angriest person of all, dear reader, will be yo...
WOW! Layman knocks it out of the park again!!!!
Titans #21
RAVEN IN THE CLUTCHES OF THE PSYCHO-PIRATE! Overly emotional empath Raven has completely lost it--and she's taking the Titans with her. Of course, she's being nudged along by the psycho-est of the psychos, Psycho-Pirate! And he's got a plan: first Raven, then the Titans...then the world!
Wow! John Layman pens another masterpiece! Is there anything that kid can't do?!!!?
Titans #22
He's the world's deadliest mercenary and the Titans' oldest and most dangerous en-emy. He's also dead...or at least we thought he was dead. Yeah, we're talkin' aboutSlade Wilson, Deathstroke, now back from the dead, building a new team of villains, and ready to take on the Titans. How did he do it? Find out in this can't-miss issue!
Possibly the best comic ever written, by the greatest writer in the history of the written word!
Titans #23
Nobody's quite sure what to make of the latest addition to the Titans' roster, butit's got Cyborg feeling increasingly like Dr. Frankenstein. But this is no collection ofrusty bolts and moldy body parts he's brought to life. It's the most sophisticated ar-tificial intelligence the world has ever known, capable of controlling every computeron the pl...
WOW! John Layman sure knows how to write an awesome comic book!!!!
Titans #24
It's a Terra-ble day for the Titans, who are attacked by a Terra-fying villain intenton Terra-rizing our heroes. Yes, we're unearthing a classic Titans villain for thislandmark issue, one who is not afraid to fight dirty. Of course, we can't tell you whothe villain is, but-just maybe-if you are a genius-level comic book reader, there isa small, alm...
Possibly the best comic ever written-- written by a GENIUS!!!!

Crime doesn't pay? Try telling that to Deathstroke the Terminator, who spent thelast few months gathering members for a brand-new Crime Syndicate with theintention of making the Titans pay-with their lives! Titans #27
Beast Boy, Cyborg, and the Doom Patrol have been caught in a trap set by Gar'sold nemesis! Seeking to reclaim the powers he lost during Absolute Power, the Zookeeper sends all manner of misfit mutant monsters to take down the heroes. When the dust settles after this rumble in the jungle, see who emerges victorious at the top of the food chain!
It took 30 issues to get to this? I hope Infernal Hulk has better pacing (paint drying has better pacing to be honest) and a tighter focus, but that is certainly not PKJs thing. How much you liked this run is definitely proportionate to your patience and mine wore thin 15 issues ago, but I made it to the end... if you can call it that.
Incredible Hulk #30
ABOMINATION RETURNS! The BIGGEST STATUS QUO CHANGE IN HULK'S HISTORY happens in this issue! It's a rematch to the death as Eldest possesses one of Hulk's greatest villains, and the door to the Eternal Prison is opened! The end of an era, the beginning of a new one and the FIRST APPEARANCE of the MOTHER OF HORRORS in this LANDMARK issue of the INCRE...
THIRTY issues for this?!
A non-ending. A to-be-continued-pick-up-the-NEW-number-one-of our-not-really-new-continued Hulk comic?
What a disappointment.
Nice art by Nic Klein. Shame he was only on about half of the run.

I was initially blinded by the beautiful art by Jimenez, and it is gorgeous! So are the colours by Tomeu Morey. When I reread the story, I felt it was pretty basic overall. Yes, there's always going to be a lot of set-up in a first issue. But there were no major "wow" moments in the writing. The whole give-little-Croccy-a-toy-dinosaur plot felt a bit dumb on first reading, but after a re-read or t more

Too early to say anything definitive. But I have worries. One of the reasons Robin was created was to give Batman someone to talk to. Now Bats has an AI holographic Alfred. That doesn't strike me as mentally healthy, especially considering the fact that there are 174,964 Bat family members Bruce can talk with.
This better not be another arc where Bats learns the value of family. Just s

Goghfacekilla, I read other reviews and they stated Alf was an ai, but some said he was in Bruce’s mind. Either way, not healthy mentally, so I think my point stands. Thanks for keeping me honest. There are a lot of people Bruce can actually talk to. That is the trap of the Bat family. We love the characters, but we love “loner†Bats. But remember, Robin was introduced within a year of Batman. The always a loner thing is a myth. But let’s see where this is going.
Quinn, you review and assessments were a lot more fun to read than the actual issue itself! 😂 ....I agree with many of your points. Especially the part about Batman "getting rebooted to a tired status quo that leaves out charm, fun, and originality." ...I honestly could not have said it better!
