At least Layman will make everyone who doesn't like Deathstroke happy in the next issue. There will be a very descriptive rape scene. DC is finally burying that dirty character for good. I can't wait for others to see the issue. Deathstroke is over. For good.
Titans #24
| Writer | John Layman |
| Artist | Pete Woods |
| Cover Price | $3.99 |
It's a Terra-ble day for the Titans, who are attacked by a Terra-fying villain intenton Terra-rizing our heroes. Yes, we're unearthing a classic Titans villain for thislandmark issue, one who is not afraid to fight dirty. Of course, we can't tell you whothe villain is, but-just maybe-if you are a genius-level comic book reader, there isa small, almost infinitesimal, chance that you just might be able to figure it out.

Jun 18, 2025Titans #24 is a really cool issue that builds to an already really cool story! I hope that they have a good ending planned, as this build up is giving me chills. Read Full Review

Though I'm not a fan of Terra's new costume, I do enjoy her presence in the book and joining Deathstroke. I'm still not a fan of Clock King having mental abilities, but I guess they felt like Clock King was a wasted character without adding something to him. I wish Layman gave a quick origin to his powers. The other problem with this issue is Vanadia's quick turn to being a villain. I prefer her being a villain as I'm not a fan of the character in the least, but her entire origin was wanting to be a hero, but a quick chat with Terra was all it took? Not buying it. It would have been better if they altered her programming. That would have been more plausible. Overall, I'm still enjoying the run. My Comic Review Channel - https://youtu.be/ more

Solid issue that continues to move key chess pieces around on the board. I feel like Layman's writing on the book is improving, as is the art by Woods. I'm in the camp of doubters who suspect Vanadia hasn't really turned against the Titans, and that she's just pretending. It seems like her programming would be sophisticated enough to allow for that. As for Terra's return, she always makes a great foil for the Titans given their long history together.

Is this comic selling well? Because I don't think there's anything here that Titans readers will like. The Titans constantly demean themselves to the Justice League, the group is apparently new as a team (judging by the way they act), Donna and Roy? Again? That was never good. It seems like the writer hates the Titans. Nightwing, after leading the heroes in Dark Crisis and defeating Deathstroke, lost his leadership position on the Titans and is only there now because he's the only character on the team that sells (even though DC doesn't try to do that).
