When Ridley has an action centered issue and it's still dull the book has problems. Usually when artist can6 stay on a title very early in the run it's a sign the publisher is not confident in the book. M6 guess is DC will see how the sales run when will7amsin takes over with 118 and gauge Tim Focs fate from there. Ridley was supposed to be the na7n batman writer before 5G went belly up.

This book has exceeded my expectations. Its way better than it has any right to be. This is an action packed issue that feels like its out of an action flick. A wanted criminal, a disease franchised youth and a militia out to free him from a juvie precinct... and Batman caught in the middle with both sides aiming targets down his back. Just plain comic goodness. This one eschews a lot of the politics for good old fashioned gritty Street fighting but that doesn't make it less good. It seems Ridley is hitting his stride with this am I'm excited to see where it goes.

The art still impresses here, the story is still fine enough to pass time, it's just an above-average book. There sadly really just isn't anything else running for it.

I absolutely love the cover for this issue, but what we got inside was a big of a disappointment. This series was continuously picking up steam for me, but it really came crashing down here. This isn't even a bad issue, but it's not great, especially compared to the rest of the series thus far. It doesn't help that I'm not a big fan of art randomly changing in the middle of an issue. Segovia's art is noticeably better than Duce's here, in my opinion, although neither give us bad art. The writing is my main gripe with this issue. On paper, this should be a good issue. However, as Psycamorean stated in his review, there isn't much reason for me to care about what's happening here. With everything here in mind, I really hope this is just a bum more

"The cute, white killer and his privileged black lawyer..." Making it difficult from the very first pages, huh? But that was some decent bat-action, I'm not going to lie. Way better than what Tynion was serving. The art could've been more consistent, though.

What a boring issue, medium art, John Ridley is a academy award winning writer, he should be writing a book at least great. I was going to read it until issue 4, but after this one, I'm out
