The way Scott and Nick mimics the vibe and thrill that Frank Millers Batman run brought, it's amazing to relive that in this ongoing series. In my opinions it even surpasses Frank Millers.. Just be aware that this Batman series will be read by our kids and their friends.

Snyder is kind of a guy whose work when being extreme, or in this case Absolute, can be an absolute banger, or a shitshow.

Thankfully, this is absolute banger. What a comic and what a story.

This issue just blew me away. Non stop suspense til the end with so much heart for Bruce and Waylon's friendship to make such an over the top story carry so impactful. This series is some of Snyder's best work if not his best.

This was a much hyped issue and it delivers on the horror angle snd the reveal of this monstrous figure.

Snyder shows off his storytelling chops here, but keeps things simple. Hes playing on concepts that he's had for the Joker for some time, but he gives it a more modern, more timely take that reflects a lot of modern urban legends of corrupt, untouchable evil billionaires.

This Joker is a guy who does seemingly good things all so he can use the world as his plaything. Its an introducing that manages to be intriguing, enticing, but also memorable. To a skeptic it may read as a second attempt at the Batman who Laughs. But the presentation here? Aided by the brilliant lineart of Jock, sells this as a fresh take on a very old villain, whilst sticking to Snyders tried and true strengths.

Jocks art is the perfect fit for this issue. I've heard critiques of his work saying that he is simply copying what worked from predecessors, but on a weaker level. I dont agree. I think he's some himself as a pretty great storyteller while crafting a visual trademark entirely his own. Simply no other books look like his do.

I don't give out 10s often, but this is a perfect comic. Art is great and the story makes you feel.

I had phantom pains while reading this comic. Which, in this case, is a good thing.

I was not disappointed. The art is astonishing, but thats hardly surprising. That said the detail and color work and composition and storytelling are all at peak levels here. Finch puts his decades of expertise on full display and it is a marvel to witness.

This issue has a rainstorm in the desert, a fire, a sauna, a betrayal, three rescues, a character backstory, 5 different villains, 4 heroes,at least 3 action scenes, a gatling gun, mutant monsters, and this is just the second issue. Oh and cow puns. A TON of cow puns.

Talk about bang for your bull- er, buck.

This is 100% a filler arc and I'm not here for it. Call me when Pete's back on earth. Hell the Norman spidey stuff is even way more interesting than this. I just.... Don't care.

This is just really good stuff. Sure, the overall pacing of the plot could be quicker, but I am liking everything this book has to offer. Especially the art, it is astonishing.

But the writing here is also really good. Keep on Kelly, you have not let me down yet.

And despite the fact my favorite superhero Rocket is in this issue, and acts as an OPPONENT to that stance, this issue does a fantastic job of displaying why its such a strong stance to have. And Kelly, through Holy cow. I freaking LOVED this issue.

Al Ewing is a writer that I dont vibe with. So the fact that I am giving this issue a high score says a lot. I am intrigued on how this goes, and even though it's dialogue heavy it works. The more I read it, the more I find new and interesting things. And Giuseppe caminolli art works for me here.

This is a very obscure property but if you've watched the original cartoon this is a very strong adaptation. An origin story for the central character "Moo Montana" it shows how he came to first visit Cowtown.

The artwork is very memorable and kinetic, the script is full of puns and is very tongue in cheek in a neat way. Its a solid read. And im looking forward to more.
