The whole issue was basically "how to save Bizarro World" which frankly, went on way too long and got boring, not to mention very convoluted. Jurgens recycles the plot device from Alan Moore's "For the Man Who Has Everything," but the flaw in this version is that this is NOT Supes' best life. I'm being a bit obscure so as not to spoil anything. Other than that, story is strong.

Good characterization, and wise choice to plant this in the past. Particularly like the callback to Frank Miller's Josie's bar and Turk, replete with the ever windows getting shattered during an altercation.

This book will continue to suck as long as Saladin Ahmed is at the helm.

Brainiac has come a LOOONG way since his first appearances back in the Silver Age when he traveled with a small monkey named Koko and was defeated by Superbaby (seriously!) This version sends chills up the spine and transforms him into a truly terrifying and unpredictable foe.

Waid's lead story harkened back to the early days of Stan & Jack, when the shenanigans between the Thing and Torch were a mainstay. The other two stories were "meh' but it was fun to read a light-hearted comic like this.

The idea of finding the exact moment in alternate universes when the FF were bombarded by cosmic rays is ludicrous, especially since they are able to do it over and over so easily. Plus, why would it affect Ben exactly the same way? And what's to prevent Doom from simply doing it all over again? Would've been much more interesting to have him without his powers for a few months.

Great characterization, lots of twists, solid art.

Does anyone have a clue who Shay is, what she brings to the table, why she likes Peter after all his screw-ups? She has an interesting name, is attractive, and...?

While not the greatest thing, it was nice to move on from that long ass arc. The ending was pretty cool.

Ok, the art is good too. But the whole Catholic - Matt as God's on again off again exorcist was ASININE. And the 'revelatiion' that Kingpin donated all his money to Matt's organization because the devil was cast out of his body was cringe-worthy. THAT'S NOT WHY WILSON FISK WAS EVIL.

I didn't buy Ben feeling so inadequate right away, I haven't a clue how going to the Puppet Master was going to restore his powers, and Alicia has gone from being a blind, sensitive artist to just another indistinguishable happy-go-lucky cipher. Good concept, poor execution. Doom's major initiative/panacea has been instant open borders. It's sooooooo simplistic. Say what you will about keeping out "illegal aliens," borders exist for a reason. Doom can't wipe out religious intolerance, cultural differences, centuries-long animosities, etc, by magically proclaiming "open borders." Reed's plan to "expose" Doom makes zero sense. Really? Art 7, story 2. Ridiculous. Suddenly Matt thinks he can reason with a demon? Pride feels bad because he completely CRUSHED Matt in court? Also, it seemed to me that 'Demon Foggy" made some pretty salient points in court that weren't rebutted. The worst storyline in DD history drones on and on without end.

*SOME SPOILERS* This is just bad. Eighteen issues in and we're still dealing with the Seven deadly sin storyline. We still have no idea how Matt is alive which I'm starting to think we're supposed to just forget about it and be like "ohp, lawyer Matt Murdock is just back" like nothing happened at the end of Zdarsky's run. Matt defeats a demon by feeling sorry for himself? What?????
