Overall, this is a really solid issue that sets things up nicely for the final chapter, which should be out in about a month. Read Full Review

I can't help but feel this is Daredevil and Marvel's "Dark Knight Returns" momentthe art nails down that aged and ragged feeling and vibe. Charles is back in the driver's seat, showing us that Matt is in a race against time, bringing finality to the story and character with this tale. I truly feel as though when all is said and done this will be an instant classic. Read Full Review

    KPB Comics - Neil King

Daredevil: Cold Day In Hell #2 is a strong and impactful follow-up to the first issue. It successfully builds tension, delves deeply into the emotional landscape of its protagonist, and continues to deliver stunning and evocative visuals. While the larger plot is still developing, the character work, the haunting portrayal of a hero on his last legs, and the introduction of compelling antagonists make this a truly engaging and essential read for any Daredevil fan. The anticipation for the final issue is already high, and there's a palpable sense that Charles Soule is crafting something truly special here. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - Wakizashi Gray

    May 28, 2025

Even better than issue #1, Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell #2 is a brilliant piece of comic book storytelling. The story is exciting and moving as we see Matt swinging back into action above his beloved Hell's Kitchen. This is aided by the return of a couple of beloved characters. Matt is living in the moment because he knows his time is limited and that gives a thrilling and almost almost frantic pace to the issue. The art and coloring are a true feast for the eyes making it worth the higher asking price. Probably Marvel's best current book! Read Full Review

While the story in Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell #2 doesn't break new ground, the issue thrives on its emotional core, exquisite artwork, and the haunting idea of a hero barely holding himself together, making it a worthy chapter in Matt Murdock's twilight saga. Read Full Review

Daredevil's powers are beginning to fade; the radiation dose gave Matt a limited and unknown amount of time to remain the Man Without Fear. The girl Steve Rogers saved, named Tyra, has superpowers. Due to the stress, she releases an energy blast that allows him to be easily located by Bullseye's team of mercenaries, called TRIPLE KING. Matt runs into Elektra, who is young, just as Matt remembers her, just as cruel, and eliminates part of Triple King's team; only one escapes, whom Daredevil saves. Elektra appears to offer Daredevil the chance to be young again and live forever with her...this sounds like THE HAND. Daredevil contacts his old partner and close friend Foggy Nelson and gives him Steve Rogers' journal so he can find out more

This is the epitome of what Daredevil comics should be. It had so many great character moments and callbacks to DD stories gone by, but I think my favourite moment of the whole issue was when Foggy sees Matt back in his Daredevil suit, and instead of berating him for risking his life as he so often did...this time, he encourages him. That was an unexpectedly powerful moment that I didn't know I needed. Foggy has always been Matt's moral compass, but sometimes his role as the voice of reason makes him come off as a bit of a nag who doesn't truly believe in or trust Matt to do what needs to be done and still be careful while he does it. So Foggy showing that he has that faith in Matt now, even in his old age, that speaks volumes and was such more
