Aug 19, 2026Punisher vs. Spider-Man #2 proves the first issue's unlikely partnership has plenty of mileage left. Dan Abnett gets a lot out of Frank and Peter's clashing philosophies, particularly in a surprisingly effective conversation that nearly ends their partnership. Peter digging into Frank's past also gives him a compelling reason to stick around beyond their current mission. Álvaro López keeps the action energetic and gives Spider-Man a fittingly youthful look, while the introduction of Psycho Sadist promises a nastier challenge ahead. The issue ends just as that conflict gets going, but the character work makes the buildup worthwhile. One of the best Spider-Man books out now, with the added benefit of a complex Punisher. Aug 23, 2026Punisher vs The Amazing Spider-Man #2 continues to ramp up the banter between the titular characters as well as the ongoing discussion over superhero effectiveness. The action sequences are good for showcasing the differences between these characters, as well as anticipation for the next issue. López creates a very nice look at this world, and Rosenberg makes it beautiful with her colors. Read Full Review
