The Lobo Cancellation Special was one of the funniest and best comics of all 2024. Hearing that we are now going to get another Lobo series had me excited. Lobo is a bit much at times but he’s always hilarious and absurd. Skottie young on this title gets the absurd part -mostly this plot but he misses the comedy that made the cancellation special so great. We get glimpses of it so maybe he can tweak this. Example -We start the book with Lobo on a bounty hunt. The Bar owner gets upset that Lobo parks next to a sign that reads “no parking”. Lobo rips off his arm and changes the sign to “Lobo parking “,Love it. However the rest is just stuff happening to push the story forward with none of the typical Lobo jokes that land. Jorge Corona is an amazing artist and he delivers some epic pages. The story, is some of the worst things I've recently read... To bad for the Jorge Corona art, but I'm out.
