Wasn't that impressed with this first issue. It felt like the same Spiderman story we've seen a million times, except now there's a real live spider on Peters chest? The story is the one we know and love, but with a few changes here and there. I know this is Marvel's answer to DC's Absolute universe, but it's starting out flat if you ask me. Doesn't feel different enough! I don't think Scie Tronc was a good match for this story, he's a good artist, just not for a horror book, but that's just me. We'll see.more

This visually arresting comic book from Poelgeest and Bertram is just as mind-blowing as their previous work "Precious Metal". This time around, the story hovers around a special blade destined to kill the evil god ruling the land. Not all is as it seems apparently as roles are switched on this one! Every page is a delight here, a work of art...and the story is this time around, dare I say, more c oherent than Precious Metal. Will definitely keep reading. more

Superman shows what makes him super, being kind, even to his "villains" or threats. John Henry takes notes on what makes Clark Kent Superman and eventually decides he will become Steel. Love the artwork in the issue, Juan Ferreyra is so awesome, but I didn't enjoy the choppy nature of the story telling.

This is probably the best Hulk vs. Wolverine story ever made? These guys really kick each others asses, two indestructible characters, Nic Kleins artwork is worth the price of admission. Gory, action packed! Worth every penny! And it's all building up to the end of this series! Can't wait to see Hulk reunite with Bruce Banner...that is, if that's what's going to happen! Who knows at this point?

Plot
This comic is split into two parallel storylines:

The first introduces the "Invader's Y All"—aliens named Zeek, Ryxxa, Brandy, and Rambo (names chosen to mimic the sounds of their home planet). They are living incognito on Earth; despite their non-human appearance, they are on a mission. However, the High Council that dispatched them warned of a mysterious new organism that co uld jeopardize their objective.

The Invader's Y All are amphibious beings—resembling Swamp Thing, yet incredibly friendly and upbeat.

Hot on their trail are two government agents—reminiscent of Mulder and Scully from *The X-Files*—named Olmos and Fletcher; they possess highly advanced technology.

The second storyline follows Richie Rocketfeller. He recovered a fragment from the site of the explosion that claimed his father—an object that points toward an unknown location. Rodney and Raina decided to strap the device to their vehicle, shift into neutral, and let it guide them to its destination. Richie stowed away with them, convinced that his father, Ronald, is still alive.

Tension mounts between Rachel and Raina as hope for Ronald’s return fades with each passing day.

The comic remains shrouded in an intriguing mystery, perfectly blending elements of science fiction, comedy, and drama.

Art
Rich in detail and texture, the artwork creates an interesting, hypnotic, organic effect, establishing a tone that is both futuristic and slightly unsettling.

Summary
The Rocketfellers are about to cross paths with new members of "The Unbelievables" from another planet—a meeting that will lead them straight into a cosmic conspiracymore

Im enjoying these Deadman comics, they remind me a bit of the recent Absolute Martian Manhunter series, mostly because every issue is a whole different thing and feels completely unpredictable and I really love that feeling that anything can happen. In this issue Deadman leaves heaven, but ends up in a futuristic earth in which everyone answers to "the master". Loved the authors take on Swamp Thin g which feels like the complete anti-thesis of the original Swamp Thing who was all about nature. This one, is actually made up of cables and wires! Keep the craziness coming, I'm enjoying it. more

This time around Snake is helping people escape "dead zones", he's basically a coyote. But now, in the middle of all this, the government is in search of a woman, and they want Snake to help them get her. Will he accept the mission into Chicago? More than likely, he wont have a choice, he'll get screwed over and finally he will almost certainly screw the system in the butt. We'll see, the series i s off to a good start, I hope it delivers. more

Okay, so the turtles got Splinter and their mother back from the dead...but unfortunately it seems the doors to the afterlife have been sprung wide open and now the city is overrun by ghosts and undead ninjas? Chaos! It seems this is leading up to a major event in the turtles universe. I'm intrigued by this army of undead ninjas idea.

Image Comics Universal Monsters series of comics has consistently been delivering some top tier comics, case in point Blood of the Wolfman! Here in the final issue, we see the thrilling conclusion of a family plagued by the werewolf curse! The teenage son transforms into a werewolf while inside a police station and literally all hell breaks loose! Will the father have what it takes to put an end t o it all or will the cops take care of the beast? A chaotic bloodbath ensues in this little quiet town in the middle of nowhere! Story and art are solid on this one! Next up it's the Bride of Frankenstein and I cannot wait to see what these guys got in store for us! But judging by the preview, it should be very cool!more

I enjoyed this series so much, sad to see it end, but happy it didn't over extend its stay either. It was short and sweet. Great horror/fantasy elements. Written by a film director, and it shows, visuals and story flowed very much like a film. I hope this creative team returns, possibly in a follow up to this series?

It's dark, the main characters are all despicable, and are all part of some weird religious cult that worships the god Odin. One reporter has infiltrated herself in the ranks...she thinks all the God talk is wishful thinking...and that none of it is real. But in this issue, she is apparently proven wrong! Still wondering if they will actually meet the real Odin or if its all just a deadly drug tri p mixed with religious fanatism. more

Screw the naysayers, I have enjoyed Mark Spears art since day one. It's not AI you morons, he draws, then gives it a look with his computer colors and apps...it's his art enhanced and made to look a certain way. That being said, I love what he is doing with his comic Monsters and I love his new Spawn '77. It's a whole new Spawn, it kind of like feels like McFarlane's version of DC's Absolute Unive rse. It's what Spawn would've been like if McFarlane had done Spawn back in 1977 when he first envisioned it. Enjoying the gangster retro style of the story. And I absolutely love how Mark Spears makes Spawn look! Recommend it for it's extremely interesting visual style, but also the story has got me! A winner so far. more

I love Superman, I love the art and story..but I hate it when from issue to issue it feels like a million things have happened and the story changes, there's no flow or continuity in the book, which I'm trying to collect but can't seem to follow unless I buy a million other books...how is this story already in part 4? DC is guilty of doing this way too much. It's also going on in Batman?

Awesome art by Steve Skroce in a story about the pits and falls of collecting comic books as an obsession. Kind of makes you think about what it is you do by collecting boxes and boxes of these books! But at the same time, it made me think about how I collect comics because I love them, the stories, the art and the fandom. It tells the tale of two Kirby/Stan Lee type creators who are in their old age and basically hate each other...but they don't expect their creations to become real. It reminded me of the concept behind the film Galaxy Quest. Will for sure get issue two, loved how its making fun of comic conventions and the whole marketing money making side of comics. more

Loving that this is leading towards The Turtles vs. an Army of Undead that have been brought from the afterlife! The turtles used a magical amulet to bring Splinter and their mother back from the dead...but now the bad guys have the amulet and want to use it to bring forth an army of dead foot clan soldiers! But now they are considering that maybe they should not have done this? What are the conse quences? Is this natural? This should be fun! I have really been loving this run which has been excellent in terms of writing and art, keep it up IDW! more

I'm liking the whole breaking the 4th wall concept of having the characters talk to the audience and referencing comic book collecting. It looks like it could lead into Superboys own comic series with that whole concept. The entire issue has Superboy fighting Manchester Black, but the cool thing is that it throws lot's of love towards comic books and collecting them, since Superboy works in a comi c book store and actually loves reading comics! Loving where this is leading...Williamson and Mora knocked it out of the park with this one! more

DC outshines Marvel every step of the way! This is right now one of the best drawn and written books in the DC Universe! Solid storytelling, dealing with some real world issues. Picheshote storytelling is solid and runs at such an amazing pace...have been really enjoying and understanding this storyline, something not all writers achieve. This writer has a sense of storytelling I am digging. And t he art is solid, clear detailed images with a sense of style! Albuquerque is shining here. This should be at the top of everybody's pull list don't miss out! more

The artwork is beautiful, and appropriate for this type of story which is all about Lovecraft looking back at his life...analyzing it before dying. Loved the imagery and the mood. Loved the details about Lovecraft's life....the letters he wrote, it's a comic that a Lovecraft fan will enjoy all the way.

It's a story about a bunch of racist friends getting together to call upon a God, to get some sort of blessing from him. They feel like they are the top of the top best of the best as far as humanity goes and everyone else is dirt, so expect a story where basically all the characters are deplorable, worth your hatred. So far, they are getting what's coming to them. It's a story with a very dark au ra to it. It feels EVIL, which is a good thing because it means that the writers and artists are doing a good job at transmitting a vibe. Looking forward to seeing where this ends. more

This series is purposely going for rule breaking, so do not expect a common comic book. It goes to the beat of its own verbose drum! Deadman and his companion child have to go to hell in search for answers, how to stop a demon that's killing spirits? It's a challenge to read but a beauty to look at for sure! It's a mish mash of religious ideals, some christian, some not so much...but it makes for an interesting hodge-pudge of a story! It kind of reminds me of what it felt like to read a Neil Gaiman Sandman comic! In other words, it's a comic made for those that enjoy both the lyrical and the visual side of reading comic books. Loving it. more
