Enjoyed this story about a secret gambling society, that plays games which determine the fate of humanity. There's all types of players, most of them demons and monsters and there's certain rules to the game, or you die! Loved the world, the lore, the games and the art style! Zamudios art was reminiscent of Mike Mignolas style, playing with light and silhouettes. Recommended for lovers of the magi more
Arcana Royale Collected
From the co-creator of The Sixth Gun and Harrow County comes a new supernatural thriller graphic novel that's Locke & Key meets Rounders!
Hudson Tremaine is a streetwise gambler who has siphoned money from every high-stakes game in Vegas. She’s made a name for herself, but she's also made more than a few enemies in the gambling under...
I loved this series, it felt like an old film noir. It had all the right elements, a detective, a dame in peril, a dangerous city...but all in a world in which all types of monsters live in one city, werewolves, zombies, vampires, mummies all living together but not in peace! The city is L.A. like I'd say. The main character is the classic doomed detective. This comic was like mixing a film noir w more
Los Monstruos Collected
From the celebrated creator behind Starman comes this new monster-filled mystery noir. Monsters, mobsters, and mystery…all in one city!
It’s a city like any other, filled with citizens living and working side-by-side, except…everyone here is a monster! Welcome to LOS MONSTRUOS, a place unlike any other.
The city of L...
I haven't been enjoying Superman for a while now...too many things happening all at once, jumping from one event to another...where's that story that I can follow and enjoy? Nowhere to be seen, because it's all tied in to something else I am not reading. Great art, but it's all one big mess as far as I'm concerned. Writer really need to have their audiences in mind when coming up with their overly more
Superman #34
Darkseid's plan worked! Earth has been transformed into Apokolips. His Dark Legion prepares the Earth for his imminent arrival. If Superman is locked in the tournament, who can stand up and defeat them?
Loving the concept, basically, we see the story from the zombies point of view. They talk amongst themselves about being a zombie and about eating brains. One of them is Poke, the main character, who suddenly starts hearing his heart beating again! Could he be becoming human again? The artwork by Stipan Morian is amazing, it reminds me of Sam Kieths artwork, so yeah, I kept thinking of The Maxx wh more
Bleeding Hearts #1
The zombies won-and ten years after the fall of humanity, they're the dominant form of life (or not-life) on Earth. They've developed their own cultural practices, their own language, their own society. Mouse-Pokes-Golf-Ball-Through-Hole-In-Head ("Poke" for short) is a beloved member of his community, and with his brother-in-arm Mush, he's happy t...
One of the weakest Spider Man runs in years...it simply repeated in a very rushed way story lines and crossovers from previous years (like Inferno and Gang War) and then added a bunch of incredibly awful "new characters" though I don't know how new you can label spiderman version one million. Quit it with all the variations of Spiderman, we just want regular old Spiderman! It felt like way too man more
Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 4: Dark Web
Marvel's two most infamous clones are back to take what's theirs! Ben Reilly and Madelyne Pryor have had enough - and they're reigniting the Inferno! And as Chasm and the Goblin Queen spin their dark web over New York City, Spider-Man and the X-Men are not ready for what's coming! If Peter Parker is to survive this supernatural nightmare, he'll hav...
I miss the Jason Aaron/Juan Ferreyra team, but I have to say that the new team is starting to grow on me. The artwork by Freddie Williams is top notch, beautiful colors and is actually understandable and the story by Gene Luen has me, I mean, is Master Splinter truly back or is something weird going on? Splinter is back and of course, that alone is exciting, no wonder my local comic shop sold out more
