Ugh. Admittedly I fell off comics for sometime and coming back, to learn they turned Tim Drake gay? Disappointing and pure laziness from a creative standpoint...
Asides from that, probably my favorite cover so far this year and a really enjoyable book.
Loses a point for following lame political trends..
Batman #6
After he survives the date night from hell, the long night isn't over for Bruce Wayne. While he juggles multiple needs as Bruce, Hugo Strange's Monster Men at- tack a petrochemical facility and force Batman into action. Gotham City becomes a powder keg as superstars Matt Fraction and Jorge Jiménez continue their acclaimed run on the Caped Crusader...
Kind of a silly comic and characterization but it's fun and I'm also kinda nervous for ole boy Lex there at the end.
Glad I picked this back up.
Absolute Superman #16
Superman finds himself at the forefront of a bold new age of heroes in the Absolute Universe, but he quickly learns that he wasn't the world's first super-powered protector. Enter Hawkman, who has a few tips for the new kid, whether he wants to hear them or not!
Honestly probably the weakest of the four issues but still a lot of fun. And to the cynics, there's plenty of elseworld titles where Batman's life is hell, let the knight have a win eh?
DC K.O.: Knightfight #4
Bruce Wayne became Batman to strike terror into the hearts of criminals, but he never imagined a world where Gotham City would be so safe it no longer needs its Caped Crusader. But when he arrives in a Gotham where Damian achieved that very peace, will Bruce destroy everything his son has built to overcome the Heart of Apokolips's test and re-enter...
There's that little cliched 'we could've got the villain two issues back, but we didn't so now we're extending the story for a cat and mouse chase type of arc..
However..
This may be one of my favorite issues in the series.. the writing and art and little continuation here, was very well done.
Bravo!
Ultimate Wolverine #14
AN ULTIMATE ENDGAME TIE-IN! The search for the missing mutants takes a terrifying turn when Wolverine and Jean Grey discover that the captives may be trapped in Magik's Limbo realm! Their mission to find Illyana leads them straight into a brutal battle with the Eurasian Republic's forces, including the devastating, all-new Ultimate Lady Deathstrike...
Mind****ed (in a good way)
Absolute Martian Manhunter #8

Dealing with a splitting city, a marital split, and a splitting hangover, what happens when he splits from the Martian? Holy moly. I'm stoked to see what's to come from this series.
Infernal Hulk #3
What happened to Bruce Banner in that cave? As the monsters' war on humanity rages across land and sea, Bruce Banner and Betty Ross have finally found their life of quiet normalcy, free from their past and the threat of the Infernal Hulk...or so they think. Is Banner really free? How long can they hide as the world burns down...and what happens whe...
Solid.
Absolute Batman #16
Part two of our Absolute Batman/Absolute Wonder Woman story- Bruce Wayne is on a desperate hunt to help his friend Waylon, now transformed into a monstrous crocodile roaming the sewers, consumed with a deadly hunger. Batman's last option for a cure is to turn to a god for help...but will he have to descend into the depths of hell to get it?
Spider-Man & Wolverine #9
ARACHNIX ATTACKS! All-new villain ARACHNIX deploys his sinister scheme. But how can SPIDER-MAN and WOLVERINE combat a villain who out-claws the Wolverine and out-spiders the man? Are LOGAN and PETER DEAD ALREADY?!
Being an old school slasher fan, I don't care for the elites and the rules and even less for the cast of the town folk.
I think the series would've been better from the POV of the killers.
Still curios to see what happens next tho.
Exquisite Corpses #9
The Groundskeeper's job is to keep order in the playing field. Killers must be kept in bounds, and civilians under control. But the survivors of Oak Valley have no intention of making the Groundkeeper's job easy... TYLER BOSS (YOU'LL DO BAD THINGS) and VALENTINE DE LANDRO (BITCH PLANET) rejoin JAMES TYNION IV (THE DEPARTMENT OF TRUTH, W0RLDTR33) an...
I enjoyed this. Jimenez is on fire and I like the story focus on Bruce Wayne. And I like the fun cliffhanger.
Batman #5
A night out with Bruce Wayne goes off the rails immediately for Dr. Annika Zeller-it seems her experimental Crown of Storms has her marked for death. And if they survive the legendary 000 Gang, they'll still have to confront the sinister assassin known as The Ojo!
Love the art. Story is very predictable Snyder approach. Still good and enjoyable.
Absolute Batman: Ark M Special #1
The origins of the enigmatic Ark M are explored! What terrible secrets lie within its walls, and just who is assigned to protect it from discovery?!
Just realized I had Kirham confused with Kirkman..
Think ima drop this..
Final Boss #2
When mysterious supernatural powers awaken within him, underground fighter Tommy Brazen realizes his grandfather's cryptic stories about their godlike abilities weren't just folklore. As Tommy's powers manifest in a brutal way, he's forced to confront the truth of his new abilities and the violent destiny that comes with them.
Coming back to this title after accidentally dropping it in issue 8.
There's a lot of really super stuff going on, however an equal amount of seemingly unnecessary things that Aaron apparently needs to add. Kind of feels like a disservice towards the book more so than anything else..
It is a start and I am intrigued.
Ferreyra's art is a definite a plus.
Absolute Superman #15
In the shocking aftermath of the Battle of Kansas, Superman wrestles with profound changes to his life, his allies, and even his costume. But more importantly, there's work to be done, as we experience a day in the life of the world's busiest superhero-and welcome guest artist Juan Ferreyra (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) to the series!
Wolverine fights a bear..
This book and maybe even the series feels as if the writer and whoever artist is just sort of winging it on a monthly basis
I wonder if the new Cyclops series will be any good?
Ultimate Wolverine #13
INTO THE MAKER'S WAR! Wolverine hunts down the Maker's Council...and with the Maker himself on the horizon, it's time to exact revenge on the ones who turned his life into a living nightmare! Wolverine's journey through the ENDGAME starts here!
Okay. Dark. Brooding. And depressing..
Just Snyder doing his thing.
Absolute Batman: Ark M Special #1
The origins of the enigmatic Ark M are explored! What terrible secrets lie within its walls, and just who is assigned to protect it from discovery?!
Holy moly, this was a blast.
2026 bat books are off to a great start!
Batman #5
A night out with Bruce Wayne goes off the rails immediately for Dr. Annika Zeller-it seems her experimental Crown of Storms has her marked for death. And if they survive the legendary 000 Gang, they'll still have to confront the sinister assassin known as The Ojo!
Emotional gut-punch.
DC K.O.: Knightfight #3
All-star creators Joshua Williamson and Dan Mora deliver the next pulse-pounding chapter of Batman's journey during DC K.O., giving us the Dark Knight's greatest challenge yet. Jason Todd is Batman. Tim Drake is Batman. And to complete his mission, Bruce Wayne will have to fight both of them. The former Robins aren't giving up without a fight, and ...
I'm pretty sure I liked the second Reign better than the first.
The wonky-ness was off the charts.
Spider-Man: Reign: 2 #5
The finale of the most audacious and shocking miniseries in Spider-Man history!
Rated T+
This first arc was WILD.
Azrael #7

Back in the day when your common villain had an obsession with stealing shoes.
Azrael #1
