You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

    Jul 28, 2023

The series ends with an announcement that Rowell and Genolet will be working together on a new Sensational She-Hulk series. Last month, Rainbow Rowell posted a picture of a row of Sharpies in a range of colors, including green and purple, along with the text, She-Hulk Brainstorming Time. So, one series ends, and the next begins...in a while. As of this writing, there still has been no formal solicitation for the new series, so there could be a bit of a wait. In any case, its been a really, really nice run with Walters and Rowell, and its going to be weird to have both of them MIA for at least 2-3 months. The current She-Hulk has been a very unique title that focuses a lot more on the personal life of the hero than most titles on the rack today. No one else is doing what Rowell has done with Jen. She-Hulk, in its finale, delivers on all of the promise contained, not only in the current story "Girl Can't Help It," but the entire series to date; it is funny, thrilling, dramatic, action-packed, romantic, and sincere across that entire range. Read Full Review

If you have not read any of this series by now it would make sense to wait for the trade paperback at this point but if you have been reading from the start go straight through. Read Full Review

This was a decent ending to this portion of Jen's story. I am please knowing that She-Hulk's story will continue and am excited to see where Rowell takes her in the new upcoming adventure that is the Sensational She-Hulk. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez

    Jul 26, 2023

She-Hulk #15 is a ridiculous finale that speeds through the conflict to only finish part of the attack on Manhattan. The primary villain is barely set up in a hurry, and She-Hulk's only contribution to the finale is a hasty call to her boyfriend for help. The word "rushed" barely covers how terrible this ending turned out, and rebooting the title in the Fall with the same creative team bodes poorly for She-Hulk fans who deserve better. The bomb was stopped easily but the bomb and the whole invasion thing was not the point of this series. I like a lot the relationship between Jennifer and Jack. I hope it continues.

Almost everything from the previous issues comes together to create a thoroughly satisfying finale. (Chekhov's Bulkhuster, anyone?) The day is saved, Jen gets the right guy, and there's an ample serving of humor salted all the way through. A solid supporting role for a well-written Ben Grimm is the icing on the cake. The visuals make for another formidable lesson in the potential of minimalism. I particularly like the command of character size--Jen is always clearly the biggest hero in the room.

This feels like it should have been two issues and I can't help but wonder if it wasn't compressed to make space for the relaunch, but even so it's as charming as ever. My new favorite relationship in comics is the tsundere relationship between Luke Cage and that jacket.

With this issue, the series ends on a high note. I agree with what another user stated in their review, in that I think this could have been two issues, but this was still very enjoyable. Everything else here was good, as usual, but the best part of this has to be the final few pages with Jen and Jack. I'm so glad this run will be continuing with Sensational She-Hulk in October and I'm very much looking forward to seeing where things go from here.
