I anxiously await the final issue, but it will be bittersweet knowing that it most likely ends the direction for DC that I have enjoyed the most in over 35 years of reading them. If the series ends as powerfully as the rest of the series has been, then this will be as memorable a series as The Dark Knight Returns, Crisis on Infinite Earths and the original Watchmen. It's hard to get fully swept away in this issue knowing that payoff could be several months away, but once it's all assembled Doomsday Clock is going to be fondly remembered despite the horrendous delays. Issue 11 sets the stage for a big epic finale with some key revelations and the build-up for the most cataclysmic showdown in the history of the DCU. Read Full Review

Doomsday Clock #11 is another excellent read. Geoff Johns and Gary Frank deliver another intelligent read that immerses the reader into this world that celebrates the details of DC's continuity. The shipping schedule remains the only weakness of this title. I would definitely recommend buying Doomsday Clock when it comes out in trade format. It is absolutely worth the price of admission. Geoff Johns really amazed me with this issue, bringing so much of the story to a head and building up to what I hope is a finale for the ages. I really enjoyed this issue and highly suggest it to anyone, who has read up to this point. Its Ozmandias reveals are worth every penny. Im giving this issue 4.5 stars and will continue to look forward to the ending of a pretty great series. Read Full Review

Superman finally gets up and puts his costume on. He flies to Washington to stop the super-villains that Wonder Woman has been valiantly trying to fight off and of course stops everyone in their tracks. As much as Batman scares people, Superman has the power to instill over-whelming terror into super villains. The issue ends as Dr. Manhattan and Superman stare at each other Which wasnt what I thought was going to happen. I really thought wed end the issue on Manhattans vision of Superman running at him. Doomsday Clock #11is a great penultimate issue to Johns' long and epic series. The end truly is nigh now as Johns does well to build some of the excitement back up as he balanced a whole lot of characters and exposition together pretty well, keeping much of the focus on the characters. Frank's artwork is gorgeous with his attention to detail while Anderson provides a lot of vibrant colours throughout the story. While there is little doubt at this point for most readers, hopefully the finale will live up to the series' initial promise and deliver something meaningful for both Superman andWatchmenfans. A lot of reveals this issue with Ozymandias and Lex Luthor, but ultimately not everything hit as hard as I would have liked and there's still a lot to cover for the final installment of this series.  Still a lot of fun though and some big moments depicted with some amazing art.  I just wish it would have wowed me the way the previous couple of issues have. Doomsday Clock is consistently interesting, with new things to talk about and discover with each passing issue. Thankfully, this is a consistently good book as well. Johns veers a little close to derivation in the way he portrays Ozymandias, but the strength of his writing makes him side-step any sense of direct imitation. As always, the art is absolutely gorgeous, from Gary Frank's incredible pencils to Brad Anderson's stunning colors to Rob Leigh's strong and creative lettering. Here's hoping that, as we approach the end, this book manages to cement itself as a worthy follow-up to Watchmen and a bold new chapter in the DC Universe. Read Full Review

The end is nigh for both the DC Universe and for the Doomsday Clock series. With this second to last issue, you would expect some more story elements to be resolved, but ultimately, we're still left with more questions than answers in this congested issue. Whereas Johns excels with the writing of characters, it's unclear what bis endgame is for the overall story. Gary Frank's art and his storytelling through his panel work and transitions are definitely the highlights of this issue. Let's hope things wrap up nicely and this series wasn't all for naught. You Don't Read Comics - Rick Lopez

After nearly two years and eleven issues, Superman and Dr. Manhattan finally come face to face, only for the chapter to immediately closeout. Stating previously that he didnt think he would even go through with the title, the seams begin to tear. While Geoff Johns appears to have gotten way over his head. This chapter, while finally fast-paced and tying together plot threads from nearly two years ago, feels to not have enough time for everything Johns wants to cover. As a result, coming off as rushed and as if aspects of the story were changed due to the numerous delays and DC not waiting to bring back the JSA and Legion of Superheroes before this series closed off. While exciting, on the whole, this chapter feels as though changes were made late into the game. Read Full Review

I was so looking forward to this series. Unfortunately, DC has dropped the ball too many times. The already pedestrian pacing has suffered with the infamous delays that this series has suffered. Throw in the excellent, high quality House and Powers of X from Marvel and you get to see how this books should have been produced and received. As it is, Doomsday Clock feels over long, over tired and over played. Can the final issue both rescue and validate this whole series? Read Full Review

The issue packs a lot in and in doing so feels unfocused. The issue is supposed to be chaos and Ozymandias watch it from his base of order. There's something there in the concept but in the end it feels like we've seen this before and there's just a bit too much thrown in. Some focus and this could have been a winner. Read Full Review

And so, it looks like Doomsday Clock is going to die how it lived - explaining its reasons for existing. That may sound harsh, but it might be the best one can get for a comic that is largely, somehow, both recap of itself and exposition. It is almost a feat itself. But that doesn't make Doomsday Clock #11 any less of a bummer. Read Full Review

The Penultimate issue finally hits the stands and lands with more exposition than anything substantial. If this was the second last chapter in a trade it would flow nicely with the book, but as a single issue, and one with massive delays on either end, it is harder to enjoy. This clock is running late and its battery is overheating. While running to reach the conclusion of way too many storylines that have been left hanging for way too long, the storytellers seem to have lost their footing. If it wasnt for the safety net (also known as Watchmen and its structured graphic storytelling) this issue would be lost to the deathtrap of a way-too-high, way-too-risky balancing act. As much as I wanted to be enthused by the potential of this series from the start and to see something come together for it, it's been a slog. The small moments of brilliance have kept me reading but the weight of it is just felt at the start here where it can't hold up against what the central event is going to be. It's just so cluttered and chaotic through much of it that it became unreadable to me, which made me glad for some of the storylines that were given a bit of space to deal with what's going on there. But at the same time so much of those stories come across as pretty pointless or fillerish now as the gaze turns as it does toward Superman finally face Doctor Manhattan. Read Full Review

This is a sometimes confusing and forced penultimate issue. The identity of the book seems lost as it spirals down into the inevitable confrontation we were all expecting from the start. I think we're all just hoping for some great Superman and Dr. Manhattan interactions at this point so we can call it a day on this misbegotten, overstuffed epic that has lost its way. I'm giving this book a 4.5 out of 10, mostly because it's overwritten, unnecessary if you've read this far, and skippable by casual readers.  Read Full Review
