I really hope Tom Taylor gets some money from NGOs after this blatant piece of propaganda on their behalf, I really do. You know, the people who are paid to put refugees in danger on "rescue boats". There's this scene where Taylor explains how "no one puts their children in danger unless it's more dangerous to stay behind." That, my friends, is a big and very fat LIE. Yes, there are people who are more
Superman: Son of Kal-El #3
Jonathan Kent hasn't been Superman for long, but he's upset some powerful people with his heroism. And the underground news source known as the Truth is helping Jon open his eyes to evils in the world that could be more powerful than the new Man of Steel. Continuing the brand-new saga of Superman from Tom Taylor, the writer of Nightwing, and John...
"Superman is gone"
I could end the review right here because that sentence above sums everything up perfectly.
The Man of Steel has left the Earth. The Man of Tomorrow is gone. In his place, we are left with an entitled brat who thinks he knows best and constantly looks for new ways to show he's the virtuous one.
Great. Awesome.
This time, instead of bei

The Conclusion! Except, well, it isn't. It just sort of "buries" the you know, gross parts of Tim (Jace) Fox's origin story as a killer criminal in digital chapters, so "The Next Batman" can be revealed in August, free of this unpleasant backstory, for PR media to welcome a new series "I Am Batman."
(See, they you told the "origin" - not OUR fault you didn't read it. Because we wouldn

The Next Batman: Second Son #12
Jace Fox makes a stunning discovery in subbasement 13 at Wayne Enterprises and a plan formulates. His mentor's final words to him will become clear--be a symbol of better things.
I don't understand why they chose this guy having Luke, TIM FOX has always been a hateful, envious and criminal guy. You only have to read the few appearances of him to know what kind of character he is. He hates Wayne because he feels ignored by his father, he always has dad problems, he once tried to put a bomb on Wayne's Enterprises. He was a gang member, he allied himself with corrupt people. This is a Batman of shit.
Yes, as Barelyalive points out Tim Fox was also part of the Terrible Trio gang as the "Vulture." Tim Fox and his gang of criminals blew up a ship to sink threatened the lives of scores (saved by Batman and Robin),and then the gang tried to blow up a Wayne Enterprises event with a bomb Batman describes the gang as "punks." (DC Retroactive: Batman-The '70s Issue 1, September 2011)
Second Son Issue ("Chapter") # 2 . Hamster Rage artist draws Batwing standing (with force field on) in front of lunatic; police arrest insane person with gun. Tim (call me Jace) Fox actually does nothing. Gets off a plane. Talks to some family. Minimal story; art goes downhill.
OK - there was someone with a Bat suit on in this issue. Not Tim (excuse me Jace) Fox, but at least someone. N

While his mother and sisters greet Jace, his younger brother had a prior engagement with an armed madman-as BATWING! The adventure continues in this exciting series as readers will come to know the man who will...
This was a mostly good issue and alternative to the events of Countdown to / Infinite Crisis. I like Ted Kord and while some things in the book I felt were a bit hasty or unrealistic, it works within the confines of the page count and it's mostly believable for a one-shot. This issue is also a good showcase for Aaron Lopresti who continues to do good work illustrating the likes of Ted and Booster more
Tales From The Dark Multiverse: Infinite Crisis #1
DC's mega-event "Infinite Crisis" saw the destruction of the Trinity, the rise of Alexander Luthor and Superboy-Prime, and the rebirth of the Multiverse...but it all started with Ted Kord, the Blue Beetle, who saw it all coming and died with secrets that could've saved the world. But...things happened differently in the Dark Multiverse! Not only do...

Superstar writers Geoff Johns, Greg Rucka and Judd Winick team with a bevy of artists for a story that alters the very face of the DC Universe for years to come!
This was better than the last one, but I'm so tired of how all dark stories are just "no... I can fight crime BETTER, with MURDER... oh no all this MURDER is CHANGING ME into a MURDERER........ oh well time to do more murder!"
Tales From The Dark Multiverse: The Death of Superman #1
The Dark Multiverse takes on the highest-selling comic book event of all time-the Death of Superman! Uatu is rolling in his grave. "I have come to this dark multiverse to see if I can find a hero who is not dark... but alas, they are all dark... I don't know how this keeps happening."
Tales From The Dark Multiverse: Batman: Knightfall #1
Don't miss this twisted tale from the pages of the game-changing event "Batman: Knightfall"! Never in my time reading comics have I seen a silent issue that delivered its message and story as well as this issue did. It's like you know exactly what every single character is thinking without even saying it. Best silent issue I have ever seen
Batman and Robin #18
You dare not miss this issue! Its the BATMAN AND ROBIN story of the year!
Doomsday Clock
DC Comics presents to you a 12-issue maxiseries from the critically acclaimed team of writer Geoff Johns, artist Gary Frank and colorist Brad Anderson. You are not prepared for what lies ahead within these pages, good readers.

"Clay"! Here it is: the shocking, heartbreaking origin of Clayface, including his first conflict with Batman! Actor Basil Karlo was on the cusp of fame and fortune...the kind he had dreamed of through his painful childhood...until a accident robbed him of the good looks that took him to the top. But scars don't make you a monster-only the darkness ...
I thought Doomsday Clock was the most ambitious book I've ever read; I was wrong.
The book opens en media res, where Prime Earth has been ravaged to the point that its a literal Bat-Supercontinent. The last that we saw of Snyderverse shenanigans was Hell Arisen: Lex getting cucked by Monitor Sugar-Mommy and Plot Armor who Laughs, who revealed the extent of the JL's escape through the Qu

Geoff Johns in my opinion is the definitive Green Lantern writer of all time. Nothing comes close and he's responsible for expanding Green Lantern's lore and making him cool again.
Green Lantern #20
Its the final battle against the First Lantern and the Guardians in this, the extra-sized finale of Geoff Johns historic run on the title! Plus, dont miss a special retrospective on Geoffs run on GL!
Future's End has its moments but overall the payoff was more of a slap in the face than anything else. I felt like I was duped. First they kill off Terry McGinnis, who just might be as cool or cooler than Dick Grayson as Nightwing, for no apparent reason and then proceeds to end with how we are in a post-apocalyptic world where the heroes lose and Eye has won. I'm at a loss for words. Maybe after more
The New 52: Futures End #48
"EYE AM YOUR FUTURE!"
I applaud young Master Wayne. He transformed his mommy issues into something more. He became a jacked bodybuilding kung fu master crimefighter. He's so badass he learned from the best, Ra's al Ghul and then turns his back on his mentor's philosophies while banging his daughter (unprotected too). Sure his son was a little $%&*. But now he's reformed and leading the Teen Titans. Way to go Batdad. Al more

Progress! One "temporal" but no "atemporal." Hickman, for real dude, lay off the time travel and multiverse jumping for ONE FRIGGIN' ISSUE. Let the Avengers fight Ultron or something. Let someone crack a joke. Make with the fun.
Avengers #34
ORIGINAL SIN tie-in! - "THIS PROBLEM OF AVENGERS"
The first Avenger meets the last Avenger...
And the Avengers World crumbles.
You won't believe what comes next.
I mean, I know that people will not like that I say these things, as you can very well see. And I'm sure there are a lot of people who think this way but don't want to get in trouble for it so they stay silent. That's how the mob always wins, by applying enough pressure on people until they shut up and just go about their business because they don't want to put up with their crazy. I don't want to put up with their crazy either but I don't see a solution either in shutting up.
Fair enough.
