  There really are a lot of classic relationships in the DCU and this did a good job with most. Man, the Sgt. Rock story was so good. I'd love some more Sgt. Rock in general.

  The first story, Perfect Matches, was pretty good. I liked how Batman and Catwoman had some sort of chemistry. I didn't know that was a thing after King and Tynion. The second story, Bittersweet, is complicated. I see what the writer was going for, but man, the writing doesn't hold up. You could have a story about a nonbinary person who doesn't feel like they can find love. You could have a story about Steve Trevor's insecurities. But it turns out, in 8 pages, you can't do both. At least not well. Either topic would require more exploration and more time dedicated to them. As it is, this story falls into the trap of showing that these sorts of problems have quick and easy fixes, and that comes across as condescending rather than supporti ve. The third story, Loose Lips, is slightly clever, I guess. I don't see why they had to kiss at the end, other than the anthology's mandate. But it was fine. Pretty good, even. The fourth story, A Tale of Two Titans, I don't know what to make of. It's not bad but I'm not sure it works well. Why have Avery be friend-zoned like that? Why make that the point? I'm just confused by the execution here. The fifth story, The Beginning, was surprisingly good for a Tim Seeley story. The implications of the loving suicide pact Harley and Ivy have at the end aside. That's actually gayer than DC is usually willing to make Harley and Ivy, so... The sixth story, Together Forever, was fine. Not enough happened, but I see what they were going for. The seventh story, Anniversary, was okay. It was rock simple, and went by quickly, so I didn't mind it. The eighth story, Ex-Position, was... Meh. The ninth story, Able, was not written that well. At least when my expectations are for a very simple and obvious story, and it has that twist at the end, I can get some enjoyment out of that. The tenth story, The Heart Wants, was fiiine.   While I appreciate the nod to diversity, there had to have been a better way to give the Blue Snowman some validation about being gender-fluid than to have a previously-unseen random character pop in for one panel, express solidarity, and then vanish like some kind of Queerus Ex Machina.

  Definitely, which is why I think the story tried to do too much. It just becomes a hindrance to the cause rather than a help, because it's not well done on its own to the point where I don't think a gender-fluid person would get much out of it. (Although, I will admit there is a noted phenomenon where sometimes when people learn new terms and language, that helps them to come to terms with their identity, so maybe it'd be helpful in that regard.)

  And on top of that, because it's just a shoddy piece of writing, reactionaries are going to use it to say, "See, look at how bad politics is in comics! SJWs gross!" which is really unfortunate. Although I doubt they'd have a different reaction if it was deftly written, they'd be less able to use it to get people outside of their circles to rally against it and flock to the comicsgate crowd or whatever.

  The stories are decent, the only ones that are bad are Frasier's, Ridley's and Sina Grace's (which was atrocious).

  The dialogue in the 1st story is "Cringe worthy". Nothing like dumbing down the main characters so they can relate to a younger crowd I guess. The art in the 2nd 3rd, 4th, and 7th story is laughably bad.
