Action Comics #1006 continues to explore the hidden layers of the Red Clouds rise as a villain of Metropolis, but doesnt offer much in terms of new developments.

Action Comics #1007 lays the groundwork for the most dangerous secret in the DC Universe with a focus on those closest to Clark Kent and the potential for damage that can be caused by allowing information into the wrong hands. Its an intriguing mystery that promises much more to come, so dont miss out!

Its much ado about nothing in Action Comics #1008. At least there is some truly enjoyable artwork though!

Action Comics #1009 continues a long-winded mystery that finds Supes once again playing detective. Hopefully things start to pick up from here

Action Comics #1010 is arguably necessary for the development of the "Leviathan Rises" arc and the upcoming "Leviathan" event, but fails to deliver anything particularly exciting outside of the promise for real answers in the next issue...

'The Magnificent Ms. Marvel Annual #1' is a fun and heartfelt one-shot that explores the pressures of a superhero in the modern world through the lens of Kamala Khan's unique optimism.

The Super Sons are back! The first issue in their new miniseries proves to be a light-hearted and action-packed narrative featuring the same great chemistry that made the superhero duo so great in their Rebirth series. Its a fun start that promises exhilarating moments ahead, especially as Robin and Superboy face off against the group of interstellar villain-children known as the Gang!

Adventures of the Super Sons #2 is a whimsical tale of injustice set against a harrowing background of children led astray. The emotional context and clever characterizations contribute to what is quickly turning out to be a great story that is well worth picking up!

Adventures of the Super Sons #3 is a fun entry to the uniquely entertaining maxi-series but doesnt really offer anything substantial for the overall story.

Ultimately, all the right pieces are there for an engaging story centered around this new surprise hit team at Marvel. It's sure to be an exciting miniseries!

American Carnage is a powerful display of human complexities struggling for societal influence. Inspired by real-world relevance and a beautiful artistic direction, the first issue proves to be a strong start to a series that couldnt be released at a more opportune moment.

Animal Man #5 is a meta exploration and purposeful diversion of popular superhero comics of its time, telling a story that finds purpose in the journey rather than the destination. It's a true classic.

Despite this, the creative team delivers an entertaining read with a cliffhanger that will leave you absolutely captivated and begging for more!

Aspen Universe: Decimation #4 delivers on the promise that no soul is safe in an action-packed and emotional issue. With exceptionally beautiful artwork and a strong narrative, the epic conclusion of their crossover event is certainly not to be missed!

While Atlantis Wasn't Built for Tourists #1 may feel familiar in its setup, it excels in laying the foundation for a story with a lot of potential in bringing horror to the forefront with a strong sense of tension and suspense.

Despite the current distaste for world-changing events in comics, Marvel shows that it can still be quite entertaining with interesting narratives and beautiful artwork. By focusing on Quicksilvers struggle to give the remaining Avengers the reinforcements they need so desperately, the issue delves into exactly what it means to be a member of the team.

Although relying heavily on characters that struggle to hold the weight of the narrative, the latest Avengers issue succeeds in utilizing these heroes in an exploration of what it truly takes to be on the team. It eloquently addresses the concerns of many fans who question the relevance of so many characters in the team, showing that the heroes are those who dont act simply to be remembered.

The No Surrender arc has been an undeniably entertaining read, especially as the cosmic game room began to unravel. With all of its emotional turmoil and action-packed brawling, the story unfortunately ends with a fizzle. The conclusions, future hints, and farewells are nothing groundbreaking, but in the context of the entire event it does wrap things up decent enough.

Marvels flagship comic returns with a new #1 issue that sees Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor finally returning to the forefront of the Avengers team. The story is a sprawling epic with beautiful imagery, but more importantly, it is an homage to what made the Avengers so popular while still focusing on the future of storytelling in the Marvel Universe.

Avengers #2 shows that Marvels fresh start initiative is about more than just explosive first issues. This is a compelling narrative continuation that is gorgeously presented. It showcases all-time greats and modern fan favorites but unfortunately, is still unable to bring the full Avengers team together. Hopefully, we can see all of the Avengers assemble soon, but with Loki in the mix now, that could be mischievously disrupted

Featuring consistently gorgeous artwork and a strong narrative focus, the latest issue of the Avengers, unfortunately, stumbles in its pacing, proving to be more of a set up for future issues than anything truly impactful. Although a new villain is introduced through the lens of an old one, we will have to wait longer to find out more about their agenda.

Avengers Mech Strike #1 excels with an accessible cinematic scope, more than enough action and an overall willingness to have FUN! It delivers on everything I'd hoped for and I can't wait for more.

Although lacking in substance, Avengers: Shards of Infinity #1 is a fun and action-packed issue that utilizes some of the most recognizable Avengers in a story that highlights the always present dangers of weaponry around the world.

WhileBasilisk#1 is an example of exceptionally well executed supernatural horror in comics, there may not be enough depth for readers to sink their teeth into just yet. But there is no denying that Basiliskhas a lot of potential.

Batgirl #41 is yet another solid entry in the "Oracle Rising" arc that continues to build up the titular character as a capable and complex hero by bringing her face to face with the dangers of her past.

Batgirl #42 is an issue packed full of unpredictable action and drama, but it's true success stems from it's willingness to explore the impact of consequence in both Bab's journey as a hero and her own personal relationships.

If you were thrown off by the events of last issue featuring one rather eventful kiss between Jason and Babs, Batgirl #43 addresses your worries directly with a heartfelt look at the internal impacts of love torn across worlds and the true power it may hold.

Batgirl #44 might be filled with beautifully illustrated epic high-fantasy dragons and magical swords, but it is a story about the fears of love through and through, taking readers on an emotional roller coaster that ends with a dramatic twist that no one will see coming.

Batgirl #45 is a book that just feels like it is a bit too by the numbers to truly succeed. There are some interesting elements, but hopefully everything is able to come together better in the following issues.

Batgirl #47 makes clever use of the Joker War tie-in, but just doesn't dive deep enough into the implications of the dramatic teamup to capitalize as successfully as possible, despite delivering plenty of awesome artwork.

Taking full advantage of stunning artwork, Batman #99 builds on powerful characterizations with emotionally charged developments in the Joker War to set the stage for an exciting finale next issue.

Batman and Robin Annual #1 is the type of comic that pulls you in with heartfelt relatability and holds on until the very last panel, making it impossible to not put the book down with a smile. For those who may still be looking for the heart behind Damian Wayne as Robin, this is a great place to start!

Batman and the Outsiders #8 is a great step in the right direction for the series, capturing a fundamental sense of heart for the team while entrenching them deeper in a dangerous mystery that is sure to explode at any moment.

While Batman and the Outsiders #9 is a great book filled with intriguing character drama, it's time for this series to kick things up a notch. Plain and simple.

Although the restraints of the mini-series on the story are quickly felt, Batman and The Signal #1 establishes the newest member of the Batfamily as Gothams daytime protector exceptionally well. As the creative team treads into unknown territory exploring Batmans attempt at trying something new, readers are treated with beautiful art and an intriguing story that already has me asking if DC has more planned for the Signal in the future!

The latest issue of Batman and the Signal is filled with action, conspiracy, and heart, making for an overall incredibly enjoyable reading experience. Although a few more issues would be great to flesh out the characters and events more, Batman and the Signal #2 sets the stage for a truly remarkable final confrontation!

The final issue of the Batman and the Signal mini-series from Scott Snyder and Tony Patrick is absolutely worth the wait. It manages to bring the story to a natural conclusion without feeling rushed or contrived, delivering an emotionally powerful reading experience that proves why Signal is a more than worthy addition to the Bat-Family!

'Batman: Last Knight on Earth #2' is a remarkable book that leaves nothing on the table, delivering all of the epic storytelling and valuable insight into humanity that fans have come to expect from this iteration of Batman.

Batman: Last Knight on Earth #3 is an issue that echoes with legacy, serving as the perfect send off to one of the most acclaimed Batman creative teams in recent history.

Batman Secret Files #1 is a primarily an exploration into the internal struggles of Bruce Wayne as Batman. It is a collection of stories that each delve into personal aspects such as fear and retribution that help to define the character of Batman and his relentless quest for justice. Though the artistic quality fluctuates, it's well worth reading for any fan of the Worlds Greatest Detective.

Batman: The Return is a one-shot from an absolute superstar team of creative talent set to bridge two eras as Bruce returns to the cape and cowl following Dick's time as Batman, but this particular issue finds success in not just its look at Bruce's return but also the Batfamily that has held down Gotham in his stead.

An emotionally powerful script, horror-inspired art, and psychedelic colors all make Batwoman #9 one of the best issues of the series. A focus on overcoming adversity through embracing yourself resonates flawlessly with Batwoman's character in Fear and Loathing pt. 3, making this a must-read issue. Although the story suffers at times from a lackluster narrative involving Colony Prime, the cliffhanger ending is spectacularly frightening!

There's no getting around the fact that the Belle Ghosts & Goblins one-shot comic is a ton of fun. The story is full of horror, fast paced and energetic, but it's the artwork that steals the spotlight and elevates the entire issue to a can't miss comic!

The 'Belle: Thunder of Gods' extended one-shot is yet another fun, fast-paced and action packed comic featuring the titular beast hunter that longtime fans will particularly enjoy.

The Belle vs. The Black Knight one-shot is a comic that understands not to take itself too seriously and above all else, have fun.

Big Hero 6: The Series #1 already feels like the series is having more fun than anything else on the shelves today, and it's all the better for it.

Birds of Prey: Sirens of Justice #1 leans heavily on great characterizations for a story that knows how to have a good time, but lacks the impact necessary to elevate the series beyond casual fun.

Bizarre Adventures #1 proves to be an instant classic with four remarkably different tales that takes reader's to some dark and strange places filled with wild visuals.

For what it is, Black Cat #1 is a fun and entertaining heist story that promises to only get better. And I hope it does, because the series can't rely on Felicia Hardy's unique charm and charisma for too long!

Blossoms 666 #1 is an intriguing, and truly dark, story that explores the competition for the title of Antichrist within Riverdales classic setting. With a bit more development of the horror aspect within the story, it could be something really special.

Broken World #2 is an awesome continuation on a series that captures a fundamental sense of heart not often found in stories of this nature. From the drama to the shocking twists and turns, this is just good entertainment plain and simple.

Broken World #3 may not be the issue to convince you to dive into the series in general, but it does great things with it's place in the overall story, pulling together the last two issues and hinting at something great to come in the final issue.

Bunny Mask #1 begins a new horror series that is downright weird and sure to have people talking. Though there is potential for something scary, for now we settle into a mystery that is unpredictable to say the least.

Captain Marvel #4 explores Carol's relationship with Rogue in a truly remarkable way, helping to tell a story that is both action-packed and incredibly heartfelt. Fans, you won't want to miss this one.

Captain Marvel #5 is an explosive finale to an action-packed arc that showcases Carol's leadership and heroism. This one doesn't hold any punches back, especially against assholes like Nuclear Man!

Captain Marvel #6 struggles to maintain the momentum established during the highly enjoyable first arc, but the War of the Realms tie-in still manages to find its moments to feel worthwhile.

The conclusion to Captain Marvel's War of the Realms tie-in unfortunately just feels uninspired, which is a shame, because there was a lot of potential to explore the psychological impact of her role in the war. Oh well, on to the next issue!

'Captain Marvel #8' is a heartfelt story featuring the first appearance of Star, a new hero that opens an unexpected path forward for Carol. Will it be worthwhile? Only time will tell...

Despite a few pacing issues, the development of a uniquely dark mystery mixed with consistently solid art makes for a truly worthwhile experience.

Overall, Captain Marvel #10 is a solid continuation of a powerful arc, despite being burdened by one too many moving pieces.

Captain Marvel #11 caps off what is arguably the most exciting Captain Marvel story in recent years with truly powerful drama and tons of action.

There is really only one takeaway from a book like Captain Marvel #12 and that is to be patient and enjoy the ride. It's a dark and twisted new vision of Carol that you just have to see for yourself to believe.

Captain Marvel #13 is a seamless continuation of the crazy events of last issue, delivering a spectacle of action as this shockingly dark new mystery unfolds at a rapid pace.

Captain Marvel #14 has a super strong script and even more powerful visuals, you would think that's enough right? Well, maybe not. I'm here to say that this is the issue where we get Carol in her most badass form yet, with black fingernails and everything.

Captain Marvel #15 is another action-packed spectacle loaded with intrigue, serving as both a turning point in the arc and for Carol's path forward dealing with Vox Supreme.

Captain Marvel #16 is one exciting ending to "The Last Avenger" arc, it's got action, humor and powerful visuals, but it's also a fundamental breakdown of the basic forces that drive Carol to do what she does.

Captain Marvel #17 is a fun slice of life story featuring Carol and many of her friends, serving as a solid chance to catch your breath after the Dark Captain Marvel arc and before Empyre hits, but it feels like a filler issue and just doesn't quite do enough to keep readers hooked.

Though it ultimately feels like an obligatory tie-in to Marvel's latest event, Captain Marvel #18 does have some good things going for it to keep you interested.

Ultimately, Captain Marvel #19 is a bit of a let down. It's cool to see Carol coming into contact with her half sister and even having a chance to establish some sort of relationship, but it lacks depth and intrigue to stand out as anything other than an obligatory tie-in to an already lackluster event.

With both a foundation of Carol's origins in Kree lore and plenty of spectacular action, Captain Marvel #20 certainly stands out as one of the better tie-in issues we've seen so far from the series.

Chastity #1 is a book that promises something great, but comes up short in terms of execution. Hopefully the best is yet to come.

'Collapser #1' is a thoughtful exploration into the impacts of mental health and our attempts at coping told through the lens of Liam, a man who lives with an actual black hole inside him.

Collapser #2 is a roller coaster of emotion and mystery supported with powerful visuals. This is quickly proving to be another can't miss series from DC's Young Animal imprint.

Conspiracy: Area 51 #1 is both thrilling and shocking, kicking off what looks to be a sci-fi horror that pulls readers into the unknown with stellar artwork and terror lurking behind every door.

Cult Classic: Creature Feature #1 is yet another thrilling horror from Vault Comics, delivering a story that expertly captures vintage terror with some truly wicked artwork.

The revival of Cyber Force is more than just timely, it is an engaging narrative that is executed beautifully. A strong artistic direction elevates the emotional development, conspiratorial undertones, and pure sci-fi awesomeness that Cyber Force #1 offers. It may not be technically a new origin story, but it gave me everything I wanted as a new reader and I cant wait to see where it goes from here!

The latest issue of Cyber Force elaborates on the motives of the characters so far while still providing plenty of exceptional action-packed sequences. With a focus on the powerful women both attempting to work with Stryker and those plotting against him, Cyber Force #2 proves to be a superb continuation of the stellar first issue!

Although the latest issue of Cyber Force focuses less on action and outright violence, it successfully tells a dark origin story that delves into the mystery of life and proves that not everything is as it seems.

Dark Fang #2 continues a fascinating vampiric story woven together with modern societal issues that push the genre itself into both unknown and exciting directions. The result is an issue that not only delivers a magnificent reading experience but promises to leave you thirsty for more!

As the series continues to open the story to a much larger world while exploring the progress and impacts of Valla's crusade, each issue finds its strength in ramping up the intensity while keeping it packed with heart. Dark Fang #3 equally impresses with both its narrative and artistic quality, as the series quickly proves to be among the best in Image Comic's lineup.

Dark Fang #4 finds the consequences of Vallas actions catching up to her in the form of a holy zealot intent on seeing her demise, presenting an incredibly beautiful and entertaining clash of worldviews that resonates deeply with real-world social issues.

"The Heart Wants" from DC's Love is a Battlefield #1 is a story about the choice to express how we really feel when it's most important and the potential that our capacity to love really has, featuring great artwork to drive the point home.

The League of Shadows short gives the horror side of DC Comics an interesting spotlight in the Very Merry Multiverse #1 collection with a lesson on ancient traditions you may not know quite as much about.

Deadpool #9 is a noir-driven Valentine's Day story that is both bizarre and heartfelt. Just like a Deadpool comic should be!

Deadpool #10 delivers plenty of humor and action as the creative team finally brings the story full circle. It isnt a reinvention of the wheel by any means, but it is certainly entertaining.

Deadpool #11 succeeds in a way only Deadpool can, using the fourth wall to push the story forward in both an interesting and hilarious way. This is a creative team that clearly understands how to use the character.

Deadpool #12 delivers one of the most brutal fights in recent history for the character, but it also manages to pack quite a few surprises as well! It's a solid comic with plenty to offer for both new and longtime fans of the Merc With a Mouth.

'Deadpool #13' is an outlandishly hilarious story packed full of classic Wade Wilson antics. What it lacks in seriousness, it more than makes up for with pure unadulterated fun!

'Deadpool #14' is a hilariously pointless story that somehow manages to send a message about what we as readers have come to expect from universe-shattering event tie-in issues such as this.

What's next for ol' Wade Wilson? We will just have to wait and find out!

What else can you say after reading Deadpool #1 except LONG LIVE THE KING!!! KING DEADPOOL! It's an expansive story packed full of classic Merc with a Mouth whimsy and banter, with a dark twist for good measure.

The new series finds its stride early in Deadpool #2, taking the wildly fun concept established in its opening to new depths with the help of a couple of well known Marvel characters, proving this isn't just another irreverent Deadpool series!

Deadpool #3 is a solid continuation of a new series that is honestly better than it has any right to be. Fans of Deadpool who want a well rounded story without too much baggage will find plenty to love!

Deadpool #4 brings plenty of uniquely stylized action, but it's also focused on an actual emotional goal for Wade Wilson, which is something you just don't see all that often. It's not perfect, but it's a great look for the character.

Deadpool #5 is just a great issue. It's heartfelt, a ton of fun and the artwork brings out the cuteness, ferocity and raw emotion in wonderful ways.

Deadpool #6 is a remarkably fun and entertaining issue exploring just why Wade Wilson hasn't been involved in the X-Men relaunch, but the narrative hurdles prove to just be a little too much for the issue to be as successful as it could've been.

An event tie-in book doesn't always have to be so much fun, but I'm sure glad this one was. Though the future is uncertain, Deadpool #10 is undoubtedly a treat for fans of the character and the King in Black event.

Death of the Inhumans #3 is a solid continuation in a dreary series that is undoubtedly living up to its name. Although it may be hard to stomach for fans of the Inhumans, Cates continues to deliver one great issue after another, and this one is no exception.

The Death of the Inhumans #5 finally strips King Blackagar completely bare, forcing him to reconcile with the true nature of what his people have become and what must be done. The creative team manages to pull together one of the best series yet featuring the Inhumans, its one that certainly shouldnt be missed!

The Despicable Deadpool #289 continues to prove to be one of Marvel Legacy's best ongoing titles. With an outrageous story and beautiful art that showcases Deadpool in a conflict unlike any seen before, the creative team manages to deliver a blend of humor, gore, and spectacle that is sure to entertain any fan of the regeneratin' degenerate.

The Despicable Deadpool #290 writer Gerry Duggan balances the chemistry between Cable and Deadpool perfectly, allowing for hilarious banter and unpredictable circumstances to make it one of the most memorable issues in an undeniably outstanding series.

The Despicable Deadpool #291 brings the Deadpool Kills Cable arc to a satisfying conclusion, despite it primarily focusing on Cable and Stryfe. While previous issues have successfully balanced these narratives, managing to detail the conflict between Cable and Stryfe without failing to give Deadpool a prominent role, this issue slightly falters. Luckily, the final pages tease a new target for Deadpool that is sure to have everyone talking!

The Despicable Deadpool #292 delivers classic humor and momentous dialogue, but is lacking in overall substance. Luckily, this doesn't impede the enjoyable pacing or diminish the reveal at the end. This is a hilarious Deadpool issue that promises so much more on the horizon.

The Despicable Deadpool #293 reveals emotional turmoil within Deadpool, showing a side of the character not normally seen. Although the latest issue lacks the urgency needed to make it great, the creative team balances character development with action exceptionally well, and ends with yet another shocking reveal!

The Despicable Deadpool #294 is a whimsical reading experience, but unfortunately lacks in substance where there could have been so much to explore. Hopefully, the spotlight will return to Deadpool after his hit list is completed!

The Despicable Deadpool #295 is full of classic Deadpool quips and violent action, but also heartfelt moments that drive the narrative forward in a way that encourages readers to actually care about what will happen to Deadpool next. Whether you have followed the journey leading up to this moment, or just recently picked up the story, this is a Deadpool comic that any fan should read. Simple as that.

Detective Comics Annual #2 is full of 1980's fan service featuring characters from the "Year Two" story, but unfortunately, it just doesn't really go anywhere meaningful. It's still a fun read though, and hopefully there is more to come from Batman's Black Casebook in the near future!

The slow burn of previous issues come to a head with a violent clash between the villain Karma and Batman while the others try to rescue a group of children held hostage. A strong artistic direction, interesting character development, and plenty of action help this issue stand out as a quality entry in a just okay arc.

The final entry in the On the Outside arc proves to be the strongest one yet. It is a powerful story with gorgeous artwork that explores both the weight of responsibility and the impact of the fear behind the Bat.

Detective Comics #988 draws on Batmans more recent troubled past while bringing the character back to the basics. Its a truly heartfelt story about the Worlds Greatest Detective that any fan can jump right into and immediately enjoy!

Although the emotional weight isnt as noticeable in the second entry into the Deface the Face arc, the focus on mystery and core characters inside Batmans life help to create what is shaping up to be a classic Detective Comics story.

Detective Comics #990 is a mysterious exploration into the psychology of Two-Face as well as Batmans relentless desire to find Harvey Dent within the chaos. The use of mystery and drama along with a few twists make it one of the best issues in the arc!

Detective Comics #991 is at its core an exploration of Harvey Dent as a character and the psychological impact of Two-Face. The mystery surrounding the recent murder is explored in great detail, but hopefully next issue has more to offer.

Detective Comics #992 delivers all of the action missing from previous issues and finally reveals the sinister intentions behind Kobras recent attacks on the city. Invisible Kingdom #1 is a thought provoking and epic entry into a magnificent new world, but pacing issues unfortunately hinder it from truly shining.

Ironheart #6 is a classic Marvel team-up story packed with heartfelt character dynamics and plenty of sci-fi twists that will undoubtedly satisfy the Trekkie in all of us. This is a great example of the potential this character has in the Marvel universe!

'Ironheart #7' is a lighthearted and action-packed story with just the right amount of zombies to show off Riri and Nadia's dynamic friendship. Though lacking in narrative depth, it is a fun issue that keeps the focus on heart and I appreciate that.

'Ironheart #8' continues the recent team-up nature of the series with a beautiful introduction of Doctor Strange in the Sanctum Sanctorum. It's full of drama and heart, but it also feels more concerned with getting Riri to her next destination. Will the next issue make this worthwhile? We will have to just wait and see!

Ironheart #9 is yet another exercise in quality storytelling from a creative team who fundamentally understands this character and how to tie her into the larger Marvel universe.

The Jinny Hex Special #1 is a surprising triumph of remarkable storytelling, delivering a powerfully emotional and highly entertaining comic with the promise of undeniable potential in the future of the DC Universe.

John Constantine: Hellblazer #2 is a smart step forward for the new series. It's pure Constantine, through and through, with plenty of twisted magic and dark humor to satisfy any fan of the chain smoking occult detective.

In an explosive and utterly impressive first issue, Join the Future #1 proves that Aftershock Comics has an unmistakable hit on their hands with potential for real greatness. Do not miss this book.

Join the Future is a series that feels both uniquely relevant and timeless in a way you just don't see often. There is a coming of age story coming to fruition within an exploration of much grander societal shifts, and issue #2 delivers on all of these fronts. and more.

Join the Future #3 successfully takes on more of the narrative weight to serve as a turning point for both the setting and the main character, while never losing focus on the character-driven heart that keeps me excitedly coming back for more.

The well-researched psychological insight, drastic use of colors, time jumps, gritty tone and even uniquely original cast of characters just aren't enough to save Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity#1 from the pitfall of just not being all that entertaining to read.

Although the Judge Dredd 100-Page Giant is essentially just a collection of reprinted material, it's the perfect introduction for those who are looking to jump into Dredd books at IDW.

Judge Dredd: False Witness #1 is an interesting new mystery for fans to dive into without having to catch up on dozens of previous issues, but it does have some flaws in both it's approach to fascist rule and the use of Dredd as a background character.

Justice League Dark #20 is beautifully horrific and simply brilliant in its approach, emphasizing the heartfelt relationships of the team contrasted against a truly grim gothic horror story, all packed in an epic superhero tale.

Justice League Dark #21 is a strong continuation that maintains a fast pace while bringing in unique visuals to push this exciting story forward. Fans of JLD, don't miss this one.

Justice League Dark #22 finds strength in the exploration of humanity, the natural order of chaos and how we can influence it with our own story, getting right to the heart of what this entire series has been about. It's a can't miss issue for sure.

Justice League Dark continues to impress in issue #23, maintaining a streak of momentum that makes this one of my most anticipated releases every month. It doesn't lose track of the darker, more "out-there" elements that work so well with the team but it also never forgets to tell a solid superhero story.

Justice League Dark #24 utilizes the emotional underpinnings of the team's dynamics as they attempt to gather their forces, but it loses some of the narrative momentum in the process. Still, with consistently spectacular artwork it proves worth the read.

The entire creative team behind Justice League Dark continues to impress with issue #26, and while it delivers plenty of spectacle in a fight we've all been waiting on, hopefully it can keep up the momentum to nail the ending.

As we sway between the dark reality of death and the surreal nature of existence, Killadelphia #1 finds its success in guiding readers through the apparent dread with impressive consistency and coherence.

Killers #3 continues a mayhem-fueled roller coaster with impressive visuals and a surprisingly engaging story, bringing us one step closer to what is sure to be a chaotic finale.

King in Black Ghost Rider #1 isn't a tie-in issue to be overshadowed by the main event, it's a powerful elevation of a story that deserves to be back in its rightful ongoing series.

Life comes crashing down on Miles in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #5. Its a poetic story at heart if you can see past all the (admittedly entertaining) webbing of henchmen and witty remarks. Fans wont want to miss this one, and not just because of the new first appearance!

All the ingredients are there for an interesting and engaging story, but Miles Morales: Spider-Man #6 ultimately comes up short in terms of emotional investment. Hopefully better things are in store for Starling!

Miles Morales Spider-Man #9 continues this creative teams recent run of incredible stories with a book packed full of heart. This is absolutely a can't miss series for any fan of Miles Morales.

Miles Morales Spider-Man #10 is a remarkably ambitious issue in an already impressive series, exploring the consequences of Earth-616's merger with the Ultimate U with excellent precision.

The struggle of being Spider-Man is ultimately the heart of this series, and issue #11 beautifully takes us deeper into that struggle by showing exactly how much Miles has to deal with in order to be behind the mask.

Miles Morales Spider-Man #12 plays out in a rather predictable fashion, but it still entertains with plenty of action and brilliant artwork!

In Miles Morales: Spider-Man #14, drama collides with action at the worst time possible, making for an interesting issue despite the potential for more.

After an explosive first issue, Monster Planet #2 wastes no time in picking up right where we left off for yet another deadly action-packed issue filled with twists and turns.

Monster Planet #3 is another crazy fun issue in an action-horror series that knows how to leave you wanting more.

Monster Planet #4 provides both intriguing context for what we've seen so far as well as kicks off an exciting conclusion, resulting in a penultimate issue that might not be perfect, but will have you wanting more.

Mike Mignola and Warwick Johnson-Cadwell with Clem Robbins on letters have crafted a masterful take on the horror genre in comics with Mr. Higgins Comes Home. It's powerful storytelling that will truly make an outstanding addition to anyone's collection.

The Magnificent Ms. Marvel #2 brings all of the heart, action, and mystery found in the first issue...and then some! This is a gorgeous story that delves into some of the most important aspects of Ms. Marvel as a character. Her courage, goodness and brilliance serve as an inspiration for all.

There is no getting around it, Mythos: X-Men #1 is frustratingly subpar. There just isn't much to be gained aside from some enjoyable visuals that can't be better substantiated by going back to the 1963 classic #1 issue this story is based on.

While Team Nightwing hasn't particularly been all that thrilling so far, 'Nightwing #61' pulls the ragtag group together for an emotionally engaging story that finally feels worthwhile.

Ninjak #1 is destined for the eye of fans and critics alike. It's the type of comic you don't find often but when you do, it puts the entire medium into perspective and helps you fall in love all over again. Jeff Parker and Javier Pulido with Dave Sharpe deliver a comic that dares to do what few others can and the Valiant Universe is all the better for it.

Nomen Omen #1 is a mysteriously complex tale with some truly mesmerizing visuals that ground the story in a ritualistic horror. This is not a reading experience to be taken lightly.

Old Lady Harley #1 is a dystopian tale that finds Harley struggling against past demons and futuristic technology, but it also doesnt forget to just have fun. Its a whimsical and entertaining story that shows why Harley Quinn is such a valuable character to DC Comics.

Old Lady Harley #2 is a dark yet whimsical issue that successfully utilizes character development rather than action to drive the story forward in an interesting way. This creates a believable and truly remarkable world filled with both danger and plenty of laughs!

Old Lady Harley #3 feels like a turning point for the series as it draws closer to the final issue. As we discover more about what happened to set these characters on such distinctive paths, we also learn that there are still plenty of surprises left!

Old Lady Harley #4 takes the story to true dark comedy status. It provides some necessary answers and takes the time to set up the series final issue remarkably well!

Old Lady Harley #5 is an unfortunate return to the characters troubled past she has struggled so much to grow from. Misses the mark is an understatement, which is a shame because the artwork really is delightful.

Planetary #1 is the type of issue that can surprise you on multiple fronts, from it's strength of character work to the concise and powerful storytelling. It's high stakes intrigue with a scope that simply isn't often utilized to such success in comics.

The second issue of Planetary feels like a love letter to all things Kaiju on its surface, but investigative elements push the story into new territories, emphasizing the archaeological roots of the team in wonderful new ways.

It's a ghost story on its surface, but there is so much more to uncover in Planetary #3, a visually spectacular issue that ends with a stark look at the reality of exactly what lies before each one of us.

Planetary #4 delivers brilliant visuals while defining a more proactive role for the team in the future, helping to bring some much welcomed direction for the series with the help of a few stunning revelations.

Planetary #5 pushes the boundaries of the comics medium, opening up the entire series to wonderful new depths with a deep dive into Doctor Axel Brass, the heroes of past and what it all means for Planetary.

The historical alignment of Planetary #6 helps to frame an interesting dynamic regarding the prominence of superheroes at the time and the never-ending search for greater power and influence, distilling the importance of the superhero genre into a sci-fi story with real relevance.

Planetary #7 is a love letter and more to Vertigo, that much is certain, but amidst the fond remembrance of a beloved character and publisher we also find unique character moments that allow the issue to flourish.

Planetary #8 hits the ground running with yet another sci-fi mystery with much larger implications for Jakita, Elijah and the Drummer. It's grotesque and deeply compelling, but it also is frustratingly secretive in its intentions, leaving the reader with no choice but to dig into the next issue for more answers.

After eight issues of tidbits of information placed at strategic points in the story, Planetary #9 feels explosive thanks to it's willingness to dig into the core of what this series is doing. There is a sense of urgency now that I have sorely been missing and it really takes the series to a new level.

After the dramatic events in the last issue which saw the release of a fictional individual into our own reality thanks to the Four, Planetary #10 unsurprisingly takes the series in a new direction as the stakes and players become more clear with every issue.

Not many comics can pull off such an intricate mystery while balancing pacing and character development, and also just not forgetting to actually be entertaining. Planetary #11 simply hits all of the right notes.

Planetary #12 is the type of issue that will make your jaw drop. This series is obviously an example of some of the highest quality execution in comics, but it really does just get better and better with each new issue and thats not something easily accomplished.

Port of Earth #2 continues to impress with world-building that compliments the magnificent sci-fi story grounded in society's struggles today. Although lacking the necessary development to encourage reader's attachment to individual characters, it continues to provide the framework for something truly unique and extraordinary.

Port of Earth #3 continues a gripping story with compelling characters engaging in a fully realized and believable sci-fi world. Although the latest issue slows the pacing of the story, the parallels of our own society found within the narrative and the questions that come from them continue to make this series a must read!

Despite the latest issue of Port of Earth failing to capture the momentum found in prior issues, it remains a beautiful reading experience that utilizes a sci-fi story to explore various societal issues found in todays world. Though not the series strongest entry to date, an unforeseen, but all too familiar revelation at the end will undoubtedly have readers checking back for more.

Possessive #1 takes a strange and unique premise to give readers a book that is definitely memorable to say the least. It's the start of a surprising haunted romance that is oddly charming and unquestionably entertaining.

Though not as new reader friendly as the #1 title might suggest, Power Rangers #1 is a truly enjoyable experience that delivers sincere characterizations and high-stakes excitement with superb artwork.

Power Rangers: Heir to the Darkness #1 delivers a satisfying origin for Astronema with a sense of heart and a clear focus on the story at hand, making it one any #PowerRangers fan wont want to miss.

With a unique artistic approach that sets the series apart from anything else you've seen before, Quantum and Woody #1 proves to be a powerful force of pure sci-fi brilliance.

Rai #2 is a true spectacle to behold, capturing pure sci-fi awesomeness with an emotional core that both gives the book heart and asks a few insightful questions regarding the implications of empathy.

Rasputin: Voice of the Dragon #4 continues a thrilling tale of paranormal exploration fraught with evil intentions confronted by heroic acts of courage. As readers discover more about the early days of both Trevor Bruttenholm and Rasputin, the series is poised to culminate in a shocking confrontation, but not before leaving readers with a terrifying cliffhanger!

With a unique and well-defined world, The Realm #4 continues to deliver an enjoyable reading experience by successfully managing intertwining narratives that are intensified by brilliant artwork. Though mainly serving to provide the groundwork for an imminent confrontation of epic proportions, it provides the necessary development to create emotional distress in readers that will undoubtedly carry over into the next issue!

The Realm #5 sheds the weight of other plotlines to focus on a monumental battle that threatens the entire groups journey, and in doing so, delivers one of the most exciting reading experiences to date. This issue is violent, heartfelt, and overwhelmingly epic. Its everything fans could want!

'Reaver #1' is a solid introduction to a new dark fantasy series with undoubtedly lofty ambitions. Despite a few missteps, it ultimately succeeds where it matters most. Hopefully, future issues will offer the chance to flesh out both the characters and this massive new world like they deserve!

Red Agent: Island of Dr. Moreau #1 kicks off an exciting spy thriller with a dark horror twist paying homage to the classic H.G. Well's novel. This one is well worth your money!

Ultimately, Red Sonja #9 is an enjoyable continuation that feels like the beginning of the end of this long-running epic.

Red Sonja #10 isn't the most action-packed issue in the series thus far, but it does capture some important moments in the expansive war at hand that fans will want to catch.

Red Sonja #11 is a solid, albeit tame, pivot into what promises to be a momentous event next issue. Hopefully it pays off!

Red Sonja #12 concludes the epic year-long arc with a whimper, focusing on Sonja the Red less and less in order to firmly establish a narrative surrounding the masculine-driven dynasty of the Hyrkanian empire.

As the focus finally returns to Queen Sonja the Red, the series once again finds its footing with an epic tale of conquest and consequence in Red Sonja #13.

What we find in the 'Red Sonja: Lord of Fools' one shot is an insightful look into past events and future revelations through the lens of mythology. Despite featuring little of the titular character, this book pulls the narrative pieces together for a truly engaging experience packed with beautiful visuals.

Red Sonja confronts the characters of Chaos in this new exciting #1 from Dynamite, bringing together a brutal cast that sure knows how to deliver both violent action and plenty of frights!
