Finally, Adam Warlock confronting Ultron is not only entertining, but also sets the stage for an epic battle in the near future. The reveal that Ultron has been experimenting on the Silver Surfer was not only unexpected, but also changes the entire confrontation and leaves the reader on the edge of their seat for the next issue. Infinity Countdown #2 doesnt have a lot going on plot-wise, but it is fun. There is a lot of fighting, quips, and a few good gags. Rocket makes a gambit on his arrival at the Power Stone which stands out. Kuder, Hawthorne, Pallot, and Bellaire all put in good work. I can recommend this one, even if its not required reading. Great stuff from Duggan. I love that we get to finish the GOTG story with all of their shenanigans. While bringing this infinity story to a broader stage. Good action well complimented by Kuder. The guy is good! Hawthorne isn't bad either and he tackles Adam Warlock's entrance and the last page got me pleased. It's fun!

A very good second part. Always with the Gardians as the lead of the story. I didn't recover form the cliffhanger. I was really touch by Gamora et the nova mother moment. And I was really surprised by Richard Brother presence. I was smiling with the false Galactus used like a trojan horse. It was a very funny moment. Cover - I take the second part of the connecting variant. Nice & a little related to the story. 2/2 Writing - I really enjoyed this part. And I'm not a fan of this version of the Gardians. 3/3 Arts - Deodato is so good. I love his art with only one panel he make me my day. Kuder & Hawthorne aren't bad too. 2.5/3 Feeling - I'm more in it than after the first issue. 2/2

After a somewhat rocky start with Infinity Countdown: Prime, the story is back on track. We switch back and forth between Drax and the isolated Nova's fight to protect the Power Stone, and the rest of the Guardians as they help the Gardner so they can rejoin Drax. It is a fun action filled issue with some cool looking panels. Some of the shared art duties, especially in the Adam Warlock sections had some odd proportions and looked a little off. Most of the art still works well together though so did not create that much of a distraction. This is a enjoyable issue that shows promise for the story going forward.

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten. We open by getting this story kicked off right out of the gate. We continue with Groot fighting Scar, the overgrown evil tree creature from last issue, and becoming literally ingested. However, our new super chatty Groot, explodes out of Scar with a fury of poisonous flowers and our heroes head out to help Drax who is helping some of the Nova Corp guard the excessively large Power Stone along with a pregnant Nova Corp member. Needless to say, he needs some help. We make it back to Drax, who is doing a fantastic job protecting the Power Gem from Warbringer when th e Guardians of the Galaxy arrive to help. Scott Lang, now a member of the GoG, tries to shrink it down while the rest of the crew battle back the forces as much as possible. It's not really working so well but he gives it a try while Gamora helps deliver the one Nova Corps baby in the middle of the battle. We leave the GoG and find Adam Warlock traveling to find find the Soul Gem, which he thinks is taken by his evil twin Magus. Turns out, he finds Ultron/Pym instead working on Silver Surfer. This issue was action packed from start to finish with pretty cool art. It was an unexpected rollercoaster ride that I truly hope the rest of the issues continue. The next issue looks great with Adam Warlock and the Silver Surfer!!! And, I totally recommend the read but you should start at number 1. My favorite parts are still with Groot starting from the last issue and working into the beginning of this issue, as well as anything with Adam Warlock, especially the intro with Ultron! I'm definitely excited to see where this series goes. I wasn't looking forward to this, still wary of Marvel events, or in this case, a pre-event series, but it was really fun! Loved Aaron Kuder's artwork. His style seems to have developed into a really clear, not minimalistic, but Samnee-esque approach to detail. And it was fast paced and really readable. I forgot I missed the Guardians! My faith in this series is restored!

Infinity Countdown #2 is yet another fun issue with lots of action and it moves in a good pace. Seriously it is just so much fun and i hope it continues to be like that till the last issue. There were some good reveals here too. But i really had problems with the art by Aaron Kuder. It was inconsistent. In some panels it was good and in some panels it was bad. I really wish the art improves in the next issue. And i also never liked any of the cover art of the Infinity Countdown series which are done by Nick Bradshaw and Morry Hollowell. They just looked cartoonish and unevent-like.

Our Guardians heroes are all collected together again and Warlock starts doing his own heroic stuff. This issue's script pays off a lot of foreshadowing, sets up plenty of awesome sights, and takes a fair stab at humor. It's a buffet presentation, though, and I would have liked a bit more of a centralized, developing plot. The art pays off in a big way on everything the script promises, especially in the Guardians section. I particularly like the watercolor hues; they add tremendous depth to the already-detailed linework.
