The look and feel of the artwork " from both MacFarlane and his collaborators " is simply amazing to look at, with each page dripping in artistic valor, even in moments where the art seems simple. The hype is real, folks. All hail Spawn! Read Full Review

Spawn #300 represents a milestone for the series that few other comics will ever live to see, and just one read through will be all the evidence you need as to how it's reached this remarkable accomplishment. Read Full Review

The art in this issue is splendid. Not only does Jason Shawn Alexander keep the dark, ominous tone that this story needs, but J Scott Campbell, Greg Capullo and the man himself Todd McFarlane remind the reader why their visual styles are so perfect for this character. Read Full Review

    But Why Tho? - CJ

Despite a superfluous prologue and epilogue, Spawn #300is a solid celebration of the hellish antihero. The next issue will seeSpawnbecome the longest-running independent creator title, and I hope that McFarlane can continue to keep the character going for another hundred issues. Read Full Review

If you are a Spawn reader this should get the salivary juices flowing in anticipation of where the title is headed. Big time writers coupled with big time artist can't hurt. Though I was hoping the Cyan would have showed up here, but most interesting is even though this is a big issue, apparent #301 is supposed to be even bigger and better if that's even possible. Well I for one can't wait. Read Full Review

    Critical Blast - RJ Carter

One thing that hasn't changed since the first issue is that each issue seems to have been written in a rush. There's a plan and a plot. That's easy to see. But a little bit of proofreading would go a long (LONG) way to improving the storytelling. But SPAWN fans are unlikely to notice, as they get caught up in the visual spectacle of the greatest battle of Al Simmons' afterlife. Read Full Review

The individual stories are flat and boring, while the issue as a whole is jumbled and confusing. However, the artwork is fantastic and theres a goofy sincerity to it that reminds the reader why this character has been able to last this long. Read Full Review
