MadCap needed a better ending if this is what it claims it is. Having to follow Madcap's shenanigans for years to end it like this? I get it: Deadpool is his own worst enemy but still felt like it was lacking. I'm hard on Duggan because he's capable of better. Koblish's style lacked the details it had in the previous cable arc so that didn't help. Still a good book by all standards and the last page keeps me wanting more. Edit: I was too hard on Koblish. After looking at it again it's actually no different than his previous books. Maybe different inking? I must've been tired while reading.

Since this arc has been all about Deadpool running through his past encounters and setting things up going forward Madcap had to show up at some point. The issue quickly runs through and closes the holes so that the series can move on. There is little hear to really get into. Everything is done well enough as far as art and dialog, but the chapter is quickly forgettable. The one thing that will probably get you is the cliffhanger setting up what should be a good issue or two after this.

Madcap reconnects with Deadpool but his revenge plans are stymied by the fact that Wade has thoroughly ruined his own life since the turn to "Despicable." It's a rather thin premise and it's not polished much, particularly not in the visuals. I'm satisfied with it, but I think that would change if I had paid money for it rather than reading it for free via MU. On the plus side, if this is a firm goodbye to Madcap, I'll be very happy. I never was much impressed with the premise of "let's use Eeeevil Slapstick to out-Deadpool Deadpool."
