Fallen Angels is a book a lot of people are sleeping on, and that's a tragedy. This issue is a wonderful example of why it's so great. Read Full Review

FALLEN ANGELS #5 is a typical setup issue. A team is assembled. Training and preparations ensue. The final boss battle location is discovered. This is all well and good. However, the fact that 2/5 of the team are introduced here (and arent popular characters to begin with), and added to that the lack of a defined villain, make the arc feel like it is sputtering to its conclusion. There are a lot of problems with this issue, if I haven't made thatclear enough. In addition to all the above, there's not much to Apothat this point, a villain who had potential but has not been developed, and the dialogue feels as stilted as the previous issues. Butsomewhere, amidst the tiring trappings of this story, there's somethingreal that teases as if it might poke its head out in time for the finalenext issue. We can only hope. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke

In comparison to previous issues, this comic book is one of the strongest yet, but that isn't saying much. It sets up a showdown that you'll be dying for since so little actually occurs here. At this point, the very idea of confrontation that could mean something is worth more than the false poetic nature of Psylocke's vision. Basically put, this feels like it's getting closer to the end, which is a huge positive. At least we can get some respite knowing it's almost over. Read Full Review

I have really enjoyed this series and this issue is no different. I personally feel the writing is amazing and the art matches the writing style very well. The whole feel to this series is very unique in a very beautiful way. I hope it is only a hiatus and not the end after issue 6 either way I will miss this book

Fallen Angels still has a TON of issues as a comic, but issue 5 is definitely the bright spot. The art improved and Hill's dialogue is infinitely easier to understand and less over dramatic. Apoth is still a horrible villain but Magneto and Sinister were awesome this issue

Oddly I missed this title and was excited to read it this week. I feel like you will either love or hate this series, much like a cult classic. This issue was better than most the title has had so far and that goes double for the art, for me it impression was somehow different in this issue, that or this artwork is growing on me. Fallen Angels 5 had solid moments with more good to its merit than bad. Magneto and Sinister are great and I love how this title feels so connected to the new Xmen universe. Magnetos speech about reminding the world the Xmen are still watching was a home run. This issue had more scenes that worked than did not and I look forward to the showdown coming next issue.

If you google "uncanny valley" you get a vibe that Kudranski's art gives. If you google "bad art" you'll get the same result.

Psylocke charges Laura with forming a team to stop Apoth once and for all. This issue felt meandering. Hill seems to be dragging his feet here with his story.

Prelude: Well, Fallen Angels has been pretty miss so far. Let's see if it improves. The Good: Magneto was cool. I did like the "disconnected" scene and the Betsy scene. The Bad: Bit annoyed that the cliffhanger from last issue wasn't Apoth. Still not liking Kudranski's art. The rest of the cast didn't do much. Conclusion: While the Betsy stuff is mediocre at worst and good at best, the rest of the cast of X-23, Cable and their team didn't do much of note.

"She always this dramatic?" Not very interesting. One might even dare to call it boring.

Laura expands the team while Psylocke does some soul-searching and evolves a little bit. The character work on Psylocke has value; that value is not nearly high enough to excuse the horrors of the art and the way the other characters are wasted or outright character-assassinated. (Yes, I'm still salty about the author wiping out Laura Kinney's development from ANW. I always will be.)

Ugh, man, I am so glad there's only one issue left. I know the writer said it was just going on break, but with a Hellions series featuring Psylocke and Mr. Sinister and a Cable series featuring.... Cable debuting not long after the supposed break starts, I just assume Fallen Angels is done. I hope so anyway because this is a comic where neither the writer nor the artist fit. It's such a huge miscalculation on Marvel's part. It needs to end and be replaced by something with better writers and artists (which seems like the case). The dialogue is pretentious and the art is horrendous. The only thing I liked about this issue was Magneto at the end. That is not enough.

THE GOOD: -I kind of liked Mr. Sinister and Magneto's appearances here, mainly because the main characters are so boring, and previous Krakoan X-Men comics have built likable characters out of them both. THE BAD: -Oh, wow, this was terrible. -This art is near insulting at this point. -Wow. This writing is really atrocious. This comic is a train wreck. -I couldn't care less about the story at this point. -Those journals were like Tom King writing. Really bad. -Just stay away from this one. I can't recommend X-Force and Marauders enough, but do yourself the favor of never reading this.
