A fun little anthology of tales to wrap up Ayala's amazing run on New Mutants. It doesn't reach all the heights of their run but this issue once more proves Ayala knows these mutants through and through. And it is fitting for these particular characters to have an anniversary issue where they are just hanging out and having a good time swapping stories. An entertaining one-and-done tale. But instead of featuring Daken and Warpath, I would've much preferred the story about Scout being hungry for pizza and accidentally winding up at an Orchis base. That would've been funny to read.

I'm not sure why this wasn't just Way of X #6 but it's a great finale to the miniseries. The final confrontation with Onslaught is very satisfying, Nightcrawler and Legion continue to make a great team, Cortez's pseudo-redemption-but-not-quite arc doesn't feel forced & Lost continues to be a great addition to Marvel's vast cast of mutants. Excited for what Legion of X brings!

I enjoyed the parade that Spurrier put on. Cult has a negative connotation to it, so masking it as culture works well for me. The communistic hivemind was a solid progression of what Krakoa is becoming and I think it was a great resolution to this story. It makes sense that a country composed of evolved beings would have an elevated form of "police," especially considering how oppressive real-wor I enjoyed the parade that Spurrier put on. "We are this sacred land." I love it when I get chills from a comic book. Way of X is an ambitious story amongst an ambitious line or stories. Still, Spurrier handled it with graceful skill.

I'm not the biggest fan of how Spurrier writes Xavier in this, but that's pretty much my only gripe. This is still an awesome series and this issue was great.

I feel that it is too convenient, in other hellfire gala there were many heroes, while in this gala it was only the avengers. And although I can believe that they left because the Krakoa captain attacked the United States.

I don't understand why there weren't more heroes at the gala. it feels very convenient and anticlimactic. that without counting that orchis eas meh.

Let me be very clear on what kind of X-men fan I am: I love most of Krakoa era comics and I think Tini Howard is one hell of a great writer.

That said, this issue is just horrible. Duggan dropped some good ideas on previous comics that go nowhere, while at the same time failing to proper introduce the reader to whatever is going on in this packed issue. I'm getting pretty tired of reading what is essentially the same storyline over and over when it comes to X-Men comics. I'm a longtime X-Men fan and I absolutely love the characters -- and always will. I still read the comics because I still love the characters but the storylines are getting to be so insanely repetitive.

Here we go again. There can be no progress in comics, the status quo must prevail. So another massacre provides the reset.

I have mixed feelings about this final issue. I love the Krakoa era. Probably one of my favorite eras of X-Men honestly. I really don't understand why it had to go. I feel like a new crop of writers could have continued telling intriguing stories while mutants still have their island nation. But since good things don't last forever, especially in comics, is this a satisfying farewell to Krakoa? We I have mixed feelings about this final issue. I love the Krakoa era. I loved the Krakoan Age so I wasn't excited about it coming to an end, but I found the ending pretty satisfying. Throughout Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X I was confused why the X-Men couldn't just return to Krakoa after it all, but here they give us the answer. I like that they were able to wrap up this status quo while still giving a feeling that it mattered and was worth som I loved the Krakoan Age so I wasn't excited about it coming to an end, but I found the ending pretty satisfying. Its and to put into words how much the krakoan age means to me as an x men fan. Its the first full "era" I followed form beginning to end and introduced me to many characters i now love. A fairly satisfying conclusion to what is overall a very mid X-Men miniseries. The final fight with Nimrod is properly epic and I loved how Storm was the one to deliver the final blow. Still hate what they've done with Xavier though.
