For how rough and cold the Absolute Universe is, this is such a cute and gentle meeting between two goliaths of justice. I could not have asked for a more uplifting story, of a duo with great chemistry.
Instead of an overly tense or dramatic headbutt between the two, Thompson and Sherman focus on what would bring Batman and Wonder Woman together. They have an immediate trust and kinship

The stories and art of this series haven't been my favorite, but the writing and characters have been absolutely enjoyable. Numerous times per issue I just start grinning from the dialog and interactions. Overall this issue was a lot of fun, even if I didn't really care about the actual plot or what was happening. The characters, especially Barda, were so likeable and fun that I could just read more

Big fan of this run. The writing is great and the art is solid. I like Wendigo as the legacy Wolverine here and Nightcrawler's part is great too. Nice seeing him getting to live as a normie but still has his hero's heart. Good stuff.

I REALLY liked this. The plot isn't the most original ever but the writing and art was really good and I love the concepts presented with the villain being a badass demon lady and the young revenger being a boy, it's typically the other way around. I'll definitely be following this book.
