While the narration tries a little too hard to reach biblical proportions, the outcome is thought-provoking, the execution is fascinating, and the art is top-notch. I enjoyed the parade that Spurrier put on. Cult has a negative connotation to it, so masking it as culture works well for me. The communistic hivemind was a solid progression of what Krakoa is becoming and I think it was a great resolution to this story. It makes sense that a country composed of evolved beings would have an elevated form of "police," especially considering how oppressive real-world police can be.

I'm not sure why this wasn't just Way of X #6 but it's a great finale to the miniseries. The final confrontation with Onslaught is very satisfying, Nightcrawler and Legion continue to make a great team, Cortez's pseudo-redemption-but-not-quite arc doesn't feel forced & Lost continues to be a great addition to Marvel's vast cast of mutants. Excited for what Legion of X brings!

A solid conclusion to Way of X. Can't wait for the Legionaries series. Si Spurrier is one of the writers I have the most faith in regarding this X-Line.

This wasn't as strong as anything from Way of X, in my opinion, but it's still pretty good. I agree with what KittyNone stated in their review, in that I think this one-shot could have been a second arc or storyline for Way of X. As a matter of fact, I pretty much agree with just about everything said in their review. Fabian's redemption was one of the highlights for me, and I did feel as though this was a bit stuffed. All in all, this was an enjoyable one-shot that seems to acts as a bridge between this series and the next.

A bit of a mixed bag. There's some great stuff in here, particularly with Fabian Cortez's redemption arc, but there's a fair amount that doesn't work and the whole thing feels oddly compressed for the sake of being a one-shot with Onslaught on the cover. It's OK and I'm glad there'll be a followup series, but I'm not convinced this wouldn't have been better as the second storyline of Way of X

Have been reluctant to rate this, as the ending left me... wanting. Found it... wobbly, and ultimately, underwhelming. The preview of the follow-up only eXacerbated this, making it a wait & see. IDK, maybe that will improve my view in retrospect, but I'm pretty much on the fence right now.

"What we offer is no mere cult" Yeah, sorry to rain on your parade, Si, but that's definitely a cult you have there even if you want to pass it as a "culture". I may be too harsh with the rating for this one, I admit, but that's only because I was generous enough in the past when Spurrier kept promising this great resolution to the story and I'm sorry to say but this wasn't it. A communistic hivemind isn't the great answer I was looking for and frankly there are no "great ideas" here like he kept promising. His analogies were very poorly constructed (his winks with constantly turning left, not right, were not very subtle either), honestly, and the story got repetitive to the point of boring. X-men writers can't see a White Straight male that is a complete asshole so that they can redeem him. Cortez redemption story is very comedic, no way there is a redemption for a little racist sh*t like him. he created the racist term flatscan. Worse part is that they used a black charater that Cortez killed her parents to redeem him. Seriously this is awful
