The idea is intriguing to me, but I've disliked From the Ashes so much that I no longer buy and can't invest unless I hear this is amazing.

Binary #1
THIS IS BINARY...AND THE UNIVERSE BURNS WITH HER! X YEARS LATER, in the ashes of the old world, to survive she is reborn - a cosmic force channeling the Phoenix itself. With the universe crumbling, BINARY returns to save what's left. But power this great always comes with a price... and the end of everything might begin with her.
At least this has the consistent messaging that Jean = Phoenix which had been muddled (again).
Binary #2
THE MIGHT OF THE PHOENIX! X YEARS LATER, BINARY faces threats from all angles - REVELATION's treacherous world, with its endlessly encroaching dangers. The people she's trying desperately to keep safe, whose resentment for her protection has reached a boiling point. And now...a face from the past, determined to bring chaos and destruction that will...
I just don't understand the point of this character. It's been five years since her reintroduction, and it seems like no writer has managed to give her a clear identity.
Everything about her feels like recycled leftovers from Betsy Braddock. Why does this character even exist if she's just given Betsy's personality, powers, aesthetic-and now even her old storylines?

Psylocke #1
SHE WAS MADE FOR VIOLENCE! Trained to be an assassin since birth, Kwannon chose to be an X-Man. But there are still some jobs too dirty for the X-Men. And some paths have to be walked alone. When the mission is brutal, Psylocke unsheathes her blades to punish those who prey on mutants. Exploding out of the pages of X-MEN, Alyssa Wong and Vincenzo C...
Magik #9
THE DRAGON SLAYER! How did Magik wind up defending one of her newest and most loathsome foes? And can she save him from a literal dragon?
This title was the brightest spot of this era. . .love the Illyana/ Dani team-up.
Magik #10
TO THE BITTER END! To save her friend, can she and Moonstar defeat an entire army of magic hunters? Or is Liminal still pulling her strings?
Don't like the base team of this book, don't like future/alt reality team of this book. Don't like the writing, don't like the art, hoping we move on from this era quickly.
X-Men: Age of Revelation: Overture #1
THE HEIR RISES - THE RESISTANCE IGNITES! X YEARS LATER, the Revelation Territories stretch from the Atlantic to the Mississippi - a mutant utopia ruled by the heir of Apocalypse. But beneath the surface, rebellion brews. As a ragtag X-Men team strikes from the shadows, Revelation faces threats from within. It all begins here - the dawn of the AGE O...
Just awful. Awful writing, awful art. We don't need a new future version of the X-Men, we need a better present day version.

You won't hear it from me. I hate the concept of alternate futures and alternate X-Men. It has been done to death. The only way I would have enjoyed this, is with a creative team capable of doing something really interesting and intelligent. It would be so easy to get the fans back. Just do one solid X-Men book featuring one of the classic eighties team rosters, either back at the mansion or on the run from mutant haters. Done.
All the magic stuff is a bit offbeat for X-Men material, but I would read anything with Dani, point blank period. Wish she weren't second fiddle but I'll take what I can get. A well done issue making us want more.
Magik #7
NEW MUTANTS REUNITE! To save their friend, Magik and Mirage have no choice but to seek help from the order his ancestors founded. But will Illyana's new power make her a perfect recruit or a natural hellraiser? And how will former leader Mirage respond when Magik starts to take charge?
Pretty decent, although it doesn't feel like an X-Men book. This feels very YA/teen (I would say 'New Mutants' instead of 'teen', but this group doesn't hold a candle to the OG New Mutants). Trying to be patient in allowing the new characters to breathe, but we really just need 1 book with new teens, not 2.
Let the grown ups play please.
Uncanny X-Men #17
HORROR COMES TO HAVEN HOUSE! When a brilliant but exploitative Hollywood director makes a surprise hit horror film featuring a serial-killing mutant girl, there are protests at theaters around the country and a rise in anti-mutant violence in those same communities. But IS it "just a movie," or is something much more insidious going on? Will a mali...
X-Men: Hellfire Vigil #1
One year ago, at the final Hellfire Gala, the dream of a unified mutant nation was forever shattered by a cowardly sneak attack by anti-mutant forces. To mark the moment and to proclaim loudly and strongly to all concerned that mutantkind still stands, the time has come for X-Men of all stripes to come together in solidarity and celebration. Writte...
Magik #4
Magik is struggling to keep herself together!
But will the return of her old friend, Dani Moonstar, help?
Or will the confrontation bring out Illyana's Darkchild self?
RATED T+
This solo series is surprisingly successful so far. Bringing in Mirage of course helps, although it's not fair for her to be second fiddle in any book.
I like the developing friendship between Scott and Illyana, especially since they weren't originally peers. Would like to see more friendships develop between the original New Mutants and X-Men of their era, particularly as they're all

Magik #5
THE FIFTH SEAL IS OPENED!
With Liminal's release on the horizon and Darkchild's power growing, Magik is out of time to save the world.
Can Cal and Dani Moonstar turn the tide?
Or did Magik know exactly how things would end when she surrounded herself with Demon Slayers?
RATED T+
Bonus points for the amazing art.
Exceptional X-Men #1
KATE PRYDE LEADS A TEAM OF ALL-NEW X-MEN! After the fall of Krakoa, Kate Pryde is trying to get as far away from all things X as she possibly can. She's just a regular-degular bartender now. Definitely NOT getting ready to head up an ALL-NEW TEAM of wayward young mutants while avoiding the watchful gaze of Emma Frost. Nothing in this title but work...
Phoenix #1
LIFE! FIRE! POWER! POSSIBILITY! PHOENIX!
She is JEAN GREY. She is PHOENIX. She saves the world. She brings death. One woman, alone in space, who not only must do what no one else can: she yearns to. A desperate S.O.S. from NOVA brings the Phoenix to the edge of a black hole, where hundreds of lives hang in the balance...and whatever Jean does ...
Yay for Jean as a solo hero. Good seeing a familiar face in Corsair but he's weirdly inappropriate here! Sold on a Jean book; not necessarily the cosmic angle, but giving it a fair shake.
Phoenix #2
JEAN GREY is dedicated to protecting innocents in deep space! Yes, space is vaster than imagination, greater and darker than the mind can comprehend - and yet, not big enough to stop family from dropping by without warning... But that's how it goes when your father-in-law is CORSAIR of the STARJAMMERS! Leaving the pirate life behind, he's got the i...
I like the Latverian mutants. Don't have much else to say.
X-Men #33
X-MEN X-SSEMBLE! If there were ever a time to rally the troops and take the fight to the enemy, it's NOW! Stand side by side with the X-Men as they head for their final stand! They can't stop ALL of us!
Rated T+
Actually a commendable ending to a series that was probably 2 issues to long.
Astonishing Iceman #5
SHATTERED!
ORCHIS has figured out ICEMAN's secret - and brings the fight to his frozen front door! Can BOBBY DRAKE survive this ultimate showdown?

Jean Grey #4
JEAN GREY'S GREATEST ENEMY!
The most powerful telepath on Earth still doesn't know the extent of her own mind. For months you've watched her relive her greatest traumas. Now the smoke clears...and the flame burns brighter than ever. All secrets are revealed in the finale of Louise Simonson and Bernard Chang's deep dive into the heart and mind ...
The art is not Neves but Bruno Oliveira. I am sorry to say that this style completely took me out of this narrative. Literally everyone is cross-eyed on every panel, giving the whole thing a goofy feel.
Realm of X #3
NO GODS, ONLY MUTANTS!
The date of the prophecy looms ahead, and despite their best efforts, the Vanir and their mutant protectors are ill-equipped to meet their destiny. Meanwhile, their enemy grows ever stronger, sinking their claws deeper into the misguided Curse. Lost and at the end of her rope, Dani beseeches her former friends in Asgard ...
Beautiful Phil Noto art. But I can only hang on so long to this title while the lead characters are freaking Ms. Marvel, Rasputin IV, Talon and Synch. I need my A-list X-Men please.
X-Men #27
SOMETHING CAUGHT YOUR EYE?
When Cyclops joined this iteration of the X-Men, his pitch was simple - "I am the X-Men." If this is so, the enemies of X-Men seem to have this fight all sewn up.
