Feb 18, 2026Another amazing Laura Kinney Wolverine run has kicked off. The groundwork for a fantastic story has been laid. Complete with gorgeous art, and the constant back and forth that only siblings can perfectly master. As we wrapped up with Laura’s look of sheer confusion, I was left smiling, and excited for what is to come. Read Full Review

Feb 18, 2026Generation X-23 #1 clears a high bar by honoring Laura and Gabby’s dynamic while launching a fast-moving mystery tied to Laura’s past. Jody Houser balances heart and chaos, teasing new mutants and bigger implications without losing sight of character. Jacopo Camagni brings energy to the action, even if some backgrounds feel sparse. It is a confident start that should hook longtime fans and curious newcomers alike. Read Full Review

Feb 18, 2026Generation X-23 #1 issue squanders solid action and art on stiff talk, tonal whiplash, and plot gaps like Gabby’s bush ambush. Instead you get out-of-nowhere new mutant introductions, landing without a gripping hook. It fails to ignite fun or excitement, undeserving a slot in your tight stack of reads. Read Full Review

I think I haven’t read a comic this bad in years. It’s actually not even a comic, it’s what Jody Houser, who I’ve never heard of but who I suspect is not a comic book writer but some activist blogger, thinks a comic is. The plot, if you can call it that, is utterly confusing. The reader doesn’t get any sense of why things are happening or even where they are happening. The dialogue is clumsy and disjointed, like a first draft. Plus, for a first issue, this comic doesn’t even attempt to give the reader an introduction to the characters, except some very vague hints through the art. Speaking of the art, it’s clearly geared towards a Manga-reading female audience, so if that’s your kind of thing, you might at least enjoy the pretty pictures.
