Operating with the same dark, but self-aware tone as the opening and armed with more cinematic horror visuals, Swamp Thing: New Roots #2 stakes out new territory for Swamp Thing and the weird life he leads. May 06, 2020Though not quite as strong of an outing as the first issue of it, it's an important issue in that that get to look at more of what Swamp Thing's life is and that it's not him constantly attacking Sunderland's interests. Russell again delivers a good story of this version of the character while Santucci puts together a great looking book with beautiful details that Kalisz gets to take advantage of. It's definitely what I want out of a non-Vertigo style Swamp Thing without going into the whole superheroic Swamp Thing approach. Read Full Review

Good story. I liked the ( voodoo lady??? ) too bad she ended up bad and was killed.
