The series really could have been called "The Signal," because at this point Bats just pops in to make sure Duke didn't break anything in the cave he paid for. It looks like they're finally going to team up in the next issue, and it'll be fun to watch that dynamic play out. Thismini-series was one of the more eagerly anticipated titles spinning out of Metal. The delays between issues does not help, but the scope of Duke's powers and how he is connected to others that have also developed abilities should be enticing enough for you to forgive these long waits. Bats is firmly in the background, Detective Aisi doesn't make much of an impression and the juvenile delinquent baddies have confusing abilities and not much personality; if you're here then it's got to be for the journey of Duke Thomas. He may be one more family member than we need but he definitely has potential. The story moves quickly enough and I'm keen to see how it's all tied up in the last issue. Read Full Review

I love the artwork for this series, especially the character designs. I've already gushed about Palette, Null, and Killjoy, but there are so many others as well; such as Duke (obviously) both in and out of his suit, Detective Aisi, and the backup Robins. I haven't had a lot of time to get used to any of them yet, but I can still tell them all apart at a glance, which is a big deal for me. Duke evolving as a vigilante separate from Batman this soon is indeed something different, and having former Robins as his backup make for a really good team. So far so good, but again the art could be better. Nuff said. Read Full Review

This mini-series is drawing close to its conclusion with many questions still unanswered and a few concepts left unexplored. Unfortunately, this miniseries seems to be turning into the kind of generic detective story we see as filler in other comic series. Hopefully, it can finish off strong. Read Full Review

This series may have benefited if Metal would have finished before it came out.......... or if we really knew anything about Duke's powers because as of right now...... I feel completely lost in this series and I really don't know what it is trying to convey to me.  The art is decent and I enjoyed some character interactions, but I really have no idea what's going on in this story. Nothing out of this world, but a fun little short 3 issue mini series. The art is good, and getting use to the "Duke" lol.

After the one who was surprisingly good, I decide to take this issue for decide either or not if I would follow this title. They start just little further after last number. Duke is in trouble but both his aid at his HQ are ready to help him through. And that went well until the Null come in once more. Luckily for Duke the GCPD came to the rescue. The writer try to teas us with the mysterious Center. And Duke will discover form where the power is emitted. And he will ask Batman for Answers. But that's not Batman but the Center who's behind it. Cover - Their is some link to what I read. And She is not that Bad. 1.5/2 Writing- I was less carried than with the 1. I'm little disappointed to not the more of Null partners possibility. And I don't find the end very untertaining. 1.5/3 Arts - The art is still good. Even if I'm not fund of the Cliffanger. 2.5/3 Feeling - Their some part I like, but more that I don't give a damn about. And I sense the writer push more in that way. So I will stop there. 0/2 more
