Comic Book Clique - Abel Loza
Aug 21, 2026Lobo #6 was a fun romp through Hell that saw Lobo collect his bounty on the Tooth Fairy. However, Lobo can't rest now as something bigger and sinister is just around the corner. It took six issues, but we finally get our big baddie for this run, and the existential threat has now presented itself. Each issue in this series has been fantastic on its own, but it doesn't really tell a bigger, overarching story. Skottie Young sends the Main Man through Limbo, Hell, and some wonderfully twisted fairy-tale realms, while Riley Rossmo makes every stop stranger than the last. Sep 16, 2026I’m still shocked I’m enjoying Lobo as much as I am, but I’ll also admit that this felt like the weakest of the stories so far. But it’s still a lot of fun and has a lot of great artwork and designs here as it works through various gags while Lobo does the job. Young’s script keeps things moving here with a lot of forward momentum, but it doesn’t have the usual carnage that we’ve seen, or Lobo overacting in a way. It’s a bit more restrained and almost lackadaisical on his part, but that’s actually a good part of the fun of it. Rossmo delivers in a big way with the artwork here for something that’s just fun and silly, making for an even better time because of it. Read Full Review

Okay I'm all for absurdity and comedy and so far this series has been pretty decent not perfect. Besides the one issue where the entire thing was drawn in a Disney-esque art style and was horrible, this one may be the second worst issue out of the series. There needs to be more than this, its not feeling so "Next Level" anymore imo.... Feels like I can find better over the top funny stuff on the internet without paying for something like this honestly....
